A Comprehensive Network: An Endless Adventure Begins as a Wanderer
Chapter 32, The Book of Hatred, has added a new page.
Deceitful in the cloud.
The flat arena environment is not very advantageous for Cheng Yi, so he needs to finish the battle quickly.
Cheng Yi appeared directly behind the dwarf, swiftly thrusting his short sword towards the back of the neck.
The dwarf fell forward, and Cheng Yi's sword swept past the back of his neck. The dwarf rolled over and got up, swinging his hammer horizontally. Cheng Yi took a half step back, and the hammerhead grazed his chest.
"You wanderers," the dwarf steadied himself, holding his shield to his chest.
"All you do is dodge and weave; how about a fair, square duel between men?"
Cheng Yi didn't answer, but took two throwing knives from his scabbard and threw them. The dwarf raised his shield, and with two thuds, the knives bounced off.
"My wife has more guts than you."
The dwarf peeked half his head out from behind his shield. "At least she dares to argue with me face to face."
Cheng Yi vanished from his spot, once again displaying his cunning in the clouds. This time, his short sword pierced the dwarf's lower back.
This time, the dwarf couldn't dodge; the blade pierced the seam of his armor, and he staggered forward with a muffled groan.
"Is your wife,?" Cheng Yi finally spoke, "wearing plate armor too?"
"No, not at all," the dwarf said, turning around with a serious expression.
"She's wearing my clothes—hey, what are you doing!"
The dwarf was hit by another tricky flying knife, and somewhat embarrassed and angry, he swung his hammer back hard.
Cheng Yi dodged the hammer by sidestepping, and then pulled out two throwing knives, but this time he missed.
Two throwing knives grazed freely over the dwarf's head.
The dwarf was overjoyed.
"That guy's got no aim, he should go back and practice some more!"
"Well, actually..."
Cheng Yi gave an awkward laugh.
"I threw the knife at knee height."
The dwarf looked down at his knees, then looked up at the trajectory of the flying knife, and remained silent for two seconds.
"...Are you saying I'm short?"
The dwarf's voice suddenly became very calm.
"I don't."
You're saying I'm short.
"I really didn't."
Did you look down at me just now?
"I didn't... well, I just glanced at it."
The dwarf slammed his shield to the ground and hoisted his hammer onto his shoulder.
"Fine, short it is. We dwarves don't have to bend over when we mine, which saves our backs. But you tall people have to straighten up and rest every now and then, which leads to back strain. It's not certain who will live longer."
Cheng Yi nodded. "That makes sense."
"That makes no sense! You're a nomad, you don't need to mine!"
The dwarf brother swung his hammer directly at him.
Cheng Yi vanished from his spot and teleported behind the dwarf, his short sword piercing the back of his neck.
The dwarf leaned forward and fell face down onto the yellow sand.

He clicked the next button.
Scene 2: Village ruins.
The opponent was an orc berserker. Cheng Yi used teleportation to create distance, whittled down the opponent's health with throwing knives, and waited for the berserk mode to wear off before finishing him off.

Scene 3, a damp cave.
A human ranger, or a traditional hunter-controlled player.
Cheng Yi easily dodged the first arrow, teleported behind him, and took him down with a single sword strike.

Match 37, Dragonborn Paladin.
When the match success message popped up, Cheng Yi had been playing for almost two hours.
With a 36-game winning streak, their ranking jumped from 1.4 million to 400,000.
He was starting to feel mentally exhausted.
You must concentrate in every game and avoid making mistakes in every game.
That's how it is in the arena—one mistake and you're out.
[Current Location: Shattered Temple]

A wave of dizziness washed over him. When he opened his eyes again, Cheng Yi was standing in the center of a dilapidated temple.
Above them was a half-collapsed stone archway, and moonlight leaked through the cracks, casting pale patches of light on the ground.
Broken stone pillars and toppled statues were scattered all around, and piles of rubble half a person high provided some cover, but also narrowed the field of vision.
A dragonborn was standing opposite them.
The dark red scales gleamed with a dull luster like cooled lava under the moonlight.
He was a little over two meters tall, wearing a badly worn chainmail, with a scratch mark on his chest that ran diagonally from his shoulder blade to his waist, as if he had been scratched by the claws of some giant beast.
He wasn't wearing a helmet; a pair of backward-curving horns gleamed at their tips.
The dragonborn carried a two-handed sword with a wide blade and an old cloth wrapped around the hilt, which had turned dark brown from sweat.
The countdown has reached zero.
Cheng Yi disappeared from the spot.
Shadow teleportation.
When the environment allowed, Cheng Yi naturally chose the energy-efficient and silent Shadow Teleportation method.
He appeared behind the Dragonborn, his short sword aimed at the Dragonborn's thick neck.
The dragonborn did not turn around, but a layer of golden light emanated from his body, steadily blocking the sword tip.
Holy Power Shield.
This is divine magic.
Cheng Yi felt the ineffective, powerless hand of the theft of magic and sighed inwardly.
He appears to be a paladin.
The Dragonborn turned around and swept his swords horizontally.
The sword blade whistled through the air as it slashed towards Cheng Yi. He retreated, the tip of the sword grazing his chest, sending sparks flying from the scales of his dark armor.
The Dragonborn pressed his advantage, gripping the hilt of his sword with both hands, and the blade began to glow.
A scorching, golden-white light, as if someone had stuffed a ray of the sun into the edge of a sword.
Slay the Holy One!
The Dragonborn's Holy Slash came crashing down.
The golden blade sliced through the air, carrying scorching wind pressure, and struck Cheng Yi's head like a bolt of lightning.
Cheng Yi didn't take the hit head-on; instead, he disappeared from his spot and hid behind a stone pillar.
The sword blade struck the stone slab, and golden flames exploded, sending fragments of stone flying.
The dragonborn paladin charged forward, his swords raised above his head, the golden light on the blades shining even brighter than before.
Cheng Yi vanished from his spot, teleported in the shadows, and appeared behind the Dragonborn, his short sword aimed at the back of his neck.
The dragon's tail swept over and struck Cheng Yi's calf, making him stagger.
【HP: 79%】
Cheng Yi got up, his left leg hurting terribly.
The dragonborn turned and swung his sword horizontally, the tip of the blade grazing his chest.
Cheng Yi vanished from his spot and reappeared to the left of the Dragon Descendant, his short sword, already shimmering with crimson light, swiftly piercing towards his armpit.
The blade pierced through the chainmail and disappeared deep into the flesh.
The dragonborn groaned, clearly indicating that the sword strike had not been pleasant.
His left arm drooped down, and he could no longer hold the sword with both hands.
But his right hand suddenly spun, and a streak of crimson-gold light slashed fiercely at Cheng Yi's waist and abdomen, intending to cut Cheng Yi in half!
【HP: 52%】
Cheng Yi was sent flying by the sword and crashed into a pile of rubble.
A long gash had been cut from the chest to the waist of the Dark Scale Armor, the scales curled up, revealing the charred lining underneath.
If his armor hadn't blocked most of the damage, that sword strike would have cleaved him in two.
The Dragonborn knelt on one knee, panting heavily.
He was losing a lot of blood from the wound under his armpit, and his entire left arm was completely useless.
He used his sword to support himself on the ground, trying to stand up, but his legs were trembling. His health had dropped below 30%, but his golden vertical pupils remained fixed on Cheng Yi.
Cheng Yi climbed out of the pile of rubble, gripping his short sword in his right hand and reaching for his scabbard with his left.
Only two throwing knives left.
"Again," said the Dragonborn.
Cheng Yi did not answer.
He vanished from his spot, teleported in shadow, and appeared behind the Dragonborn.
The dragonborn's tail swept over again, but this time it was much slower.
Cheng Yi dodged to the side, and the short sword pierced the back of his neck.
The dragonborn's body stiffened abruptly, the two-handed sword slipped from his hands, and the dark red scales gradually lost their luster.
