Wearing a fine knight's armor, Andrea, despite jokingly calling himself the duke's illegitimate son, possessed an exceptionally elegant temperament inherited from his noble lineage, making him stand out among the previous newcomers!

Seeing Andrea's composed demeanor, the black-robed wizard couldn't help but nod slightly. If he couldn't even control his own nervousness, one could only imagine what the scene would be like when he faced the enemy in the wild.

"Begin!" The black-robed wizard's tone changed slightly, as if there was a hint of anticipation in it.

Andrea gave the black-robed wizard a slight knightly salute.

Andrea used a shield bash to knock the skeleton warrior aside, then charged straight at the skeleton archer, immediately followed by a heavy slash that slammed into the shield of the skeleton guardian blocking his way, knocking the guardian back to the side.

Now, the undead trio was wide open, and the skeleton archer, a ranged attacker, began to face Andrea, a knight with super strong melee combat skills!

Protected by the dark elemental shield, Andrea withstood the rain of arrows and swiftly charged towards the skeleton archer. In less than a few seconds, Andrea severed the skeleton archer's neck and sent him back to the underworld.

The rest of the battle was pretty much a foregone conclusion. Without the interference of ranged attacks, it was only a matter of time before the two melee fighters were defeated!

A moment later, Professor Ivan, the black-robed wizard, finally smiled and said, "Andrea Johnson, approved!"

"Wow! Andrea is incredibly strong!"

"Yes, he actually mastered the rather difficult level zero sorcery, Dark Element Shield. It's said that casting it consumes three standard units of mental energy. And he's a powerful knight himself, no wonder he won!" A girl seemed to be attracted by Andrea's demeanor and praised him.

"Yeah! I heard last time that he's a duke's son. Marina, if you're interested, hurry up and make your move! Otherwise, I'll be embarrassed!" A hot girl teased the girl from before with a mocking expression.

"Oh no! Marjane, don't you already have Lotte? Why are you trying to steal my boyfriend?" The girl was clearly shocked by her friend's words.

"Tch~ That piece of trash, Lotte, barely made it through the first round. The moment he stopped in the second round, he was no longer my boyfriend!" The hot girl scoffed, then declared that she was single!

Seemingly encouraged by Andrea's victory, two more people out of the ten who followed Andrea passed the test.

"Next, Richard Clavel!" Finally, Professor Ivan, the black-robed wizard, called out Richard's name.

Richard calmly walked onto the arena. Not wanting to reveal too much, Richard still raised his gray wooden short bow. Just as the black-robed wizard finished saying "Begin!"

The moment he finished speaking, he unleashed his secret technique, Multi-Shot, with three silver lightning bolts shooting straight at the skeleton trio. Except for the skeleton guardian with the shield, who narrowly blocked all the mithril arrows with his shield, the other two skeletons each had a mithril arrow stuck in their foreheads!

Now, only one skeleton guardian remains, and the outcome of the battle is no longer in doubt!

"Richard Clavel, passed!" Professor Ivan's eyes lit up, clearly impressed by Richard's archery skills.

Upon hearing Richard's words that he had passed the test, many of the new students below began to discuss it amongst themselves.

"Are you kidding me? This is a wizard apprentice exam, not an archery exam. It's so unfair to pass solely based on archery skills!" complained a freshman who failed.

"The instructors made it very clear before the assessment that the Ignis School only focuses on practical combat; as long as you can win, that's all that matters! Besides, we've only been here for half a year, so it's normal that we haven't learned level zero sorcery yet!" one of the freshmen said, speaking up for the situation.

"No matter what, this Richard guy is definitely a first-rate archer!" The chubby freshman next to him stroked his newly grown beard and commented in a precocious manner.

"But if you don't even perform a single spell in the wizarding exam, then you don't even perform a single magic trick. Is that still a wizarding apprentice exam?" another freshman who failed the second round said indignantly.

"Hey, didn't you guys know? This Richard had a duel with Davos a while ago, and his swordsmanship is top-notch too," someone chimed in.

"So what? No matter how superb your swordsmanship is, it can't withstand the attack of witchcraft!" a freshman said, clearly a little unconvinced.

Richard remained calm, as if he hadn't heard the mocking voices. He simply didn't want to be too high-profile and wanted to keep a low profile.

But what he didn't notice was that Davos's gloomy expression deepened after seeing his archery skills!

It seems that Davos is not confident that he can easily defeat Richard, even though he has been promoted to a formal knight and his strength has increased greatly!

As the three new students took turns going up on stage to fight the undead trio, Richard's friend Ram and Ram's girlfriend Courteney both failed to advance beyond the second round, meaning they were eliminated in the first round of the assessment!
