Survival at Sea: Recruit Top-Tier Mature and Beautiful Schoolgirls at the Start

"That's how you upgrade." Ye Hang said with a smile.

Compared to painstakingly collecting supplies, exchanging food for supplies is much faster.

But he also understood that this approach had to stop there.

Even if those who can't even get food exchange with him this time, they will still starve to death before long.

Those who are capable, though not as wealthy as him, at least won't starve, so they won't spend a lot of money to buy food.

Without resources to upgrade the raft, you'll still die in three days.

"upgrade."

Without any hesitation, Ye Hang chose to upgrade.

The raft emitted a light, and the next moment, its area expanded by another 1 square meter, reaching ten square meters, the size of a small room.

"You leveled up again?" Chu Mengli exclaimed in surprise. "That's too fast! I saw others barely managing to upgrade their rafts to level three, and you're already at level five! What did you do?"

Chu Mengli was unaware that Ye Hang had traded food for supplies, and Ye Hang had no intention of telling her.

Maintaining mystery can increase crew loyalty; the unknown is frightening.

At the same time, an ancient and weathered voice rang out.

"Congratulations to Ye Hang for becoming the first survivor in this area to upgrade his raft to level 5. He is rewarded with a special ship component gift box."

"The third phase of the event has now been upgraded. Human-sheep pirates will spawn on the ocean. Please be careful."

"Floating object resource rewards have been upgraded, and floating object coverage has been increased."

Instantly, the regional chat room erupted in chaos.

"Who is Ye Hang? My raft is only level two, how come he's already level five? How am I supposed to compete like this?!"

"Damn it, the quest leveled up so quickly, and pirates are spawning too! Why is it leveling up so fast? Damn it!"

……

Ye Hang glanced at the messages in the chat room and then stopped paying attention.

His eyes were fixed intently on the center of the raft.

A dazzling gift box appeared there; it was the special ship component gift box that the system had just rewarded.

Chu Mengli also turned her attention to the gift box.

"Is this the gift box the system rewarded me with? It looks really nice. I wonder what good stuff I can get from it?"

"So, you want to guess?" Ye Hang asked with a smile.

"How could anyone have guessed that?" Chu Mengli shook her head.

"You heard it too, these are ship components. If you could choose freely, what would you want most?"

Chu Mengli pondered for a moment.

"I don't know much about ships. The only things that come to mind are defense, power, and control. Oh, right, and the supporting facilities, like beds and toilets."

"If I had to choose from these, I think motivation might be the most useful?"

Chu Mengli gave her own answer.

Ye Hang nodded slightly.

He agreed with Chu Mengli's idea.

They are now moving the raft, which, although described as mind control, is essentially rowing by hand.

However, if a power module is added, and the raft is driven directly by an engine, the raft will not only be faster, but also less strenuous.

"I hope my wish will come true."

Ye Hang opened the dazzling treasure chest.

A flash of light, and the items in the treasure chest appeared.

It is a piece of jade.

[Marine Propulsion Module: After use, it can add a propulsion module to the ship, providing engine-related functions.]

Ye Hang's eyes lit up.

"Wow, it really is a power module!" Ye Hang exclaimed in surprise. "Chu Mengli, is your mouth blessed?"

Chu Mengli blushed slightly. "Then Captain, hurry up and try it on."

"good!"

With a thought, the ship's power module was activated.

The raft shone brightly.

The next moment, a marine gas turbine appeared behind the raft. As long as you silently think to start it, the raft can move quickly without consuming any more energy.

Its top speed reaches 50 knots, almost twice the speed of Ye Hang's rowing.

However, there are also downsides.

Marine gas turbines require universal fuel oil.

The all-purpose fuel tank is currently full, which will allow the raft to travel at full speed for three hours.

But if there's no all-purpose oil supply after three hours, then you'll have to go back to manual paddling.

"Three hours of battery life? Not bad. It's pretty good for emergencies. But before that, I should at least try it out."

Ye Hang decisively started the engine.

The turbine spun, propelling the raft forward at breakneck speed.

Chu Mengli's eyes lit up. "This is too fast! It feels like we're sailing on a cruise ship, though the facilities are a bit lacking."

"You mean we're missing a bed?" Ye Hang said with a wicked grin.

Chu Mengli blushed and turned her head away. "I didn't say anything."

Ye Hang looked at Chu Mengli's current state and nodded slightly in his heart.

It seems that Chu Mengli has now accepted my identity as captain and is gradually getting into the swing of things, no longer as hostile as she was at the beginning.

Now we can move on to the next step of the plan. Hehe, good things come to those who wait.

Ye Hang stopped paying attention to Chu Mengli.

He opened the ship status interface.

[Ship: Small Raft LV5]

[Next level, Wooden Boat LV1, Wooden Boat Blueprint *1, Requires 50 Wood, 50 Coarse Rope, 10 Waterproof Glue, 100 Steel Nails]

[Power Module LV1]

[Next level: Power Module LV2, Power Module LV2 blueprint *1, Power Unit *2, Steel Plate *10, Rubber *10]

Ye Hang was slightly taken aback.

"So many materials I've never seen before have appeared! Could this be what the system meant by the upgraded resource rewards?"

"The materials are fine, the key is the blueprints, I don't think anyone would use that for trading."

Under Ye Hang's control, the raft moved rapidly toward the target point.

The number of floating objects increased along the way.

Ye Hang glanced at it; most of it was white trash, so he ignored it.

They did encounter two rare green floating objects, which yielded three pieces of wood and a bottle of waterproof glue, making for a decent harvest.

Just then.

The prophetic powers, which had been dormant for a long time, began to respond.

A blue, high-quality treasure chest was found at a 65-degree angle to their left front.

The effect is displayed directly on the map.

A blue treasure chest pattern appeared in the predicted direction.

Ye Hang's eyes lit up. "Finally, a blue treasure chest appeared! What are we waiting for!"

The engine is started.

The raft sped towards its destination.

The sudden turn of events startled Chu Mengli, who couldn't see anything from her eagle-eye perspective.

"Captain, what are we doing? We've completely deviated from our course and we've even started the engine."

"Don't ask, you'll find out soon enough."

"oh."

Chu Mengli's eyes gleamed with curiosity as she focused her eagle gaze on the direction the ship was sailing.

She wanted to see what was on that side.

So, ten minutes later.

A treasure chest appeared in her field of vision.

She exclaimed, "Captain, we've spotted a treasure chest right ahead!"

"No, Captain, a raft is approaching. It looks like it's level three, and there are two people on it. They're getting closer to the treasure chest!"

Ye Hang frowned and shouted, "You control the raft, I'll stop them!"

"OK!"

Control of the raft was successfully transferred to Chu Mengli.

With the engine providing power, even though Chu Mengli's physique was not strong, the raft's speed did not decrease at all.

Ye Hang stood on the edge of the raft, activating Eagle Vision.

With a reach of his hand, the wooden bow that should have been in Chu Mengli's inventory appeared in his hand.
