Primordial Era: I, Hongyun, take charge of the literary path

In the vast wilderness, years are forgotten; in the blink of an eye, the ocean has become a vast expanse.

After obtaining the Water Spirit Orb, Hongyun continued his journey towards Buzhou Mountain, a journey that took another thousand years.

On this day, Hongyun arrived at a place of extreme daylight, illuminated by the supreme sun, where there was no night.

This place is shrouded in the power of the sun year-round, while the power of the moon cannot reach it.

The sky here is cloudless, and wisps of sunlight, visible to the naked eye, descend from the sun.

Upon entering this land of polar day, Hongyun could feel a terrifyingly high temperature, as if she had entered a furnace, and everything in sight was a ghastly white.

This land of polar day also has mountains, forests, plains, basins and other environments, but all traces of life have adapted to the light.

The red clouds shone brightly, preventing the sun's power from shining directly on them and blocking all light and heat from entering.

This action, however, allowed the red cloud to blend into its environment, because the creatures of the polar day were all able to absorb and exhale the power of the sun, and their bodies emitted light and heat.

The creatures of the polar day can be found in other places as well. Hongyun knows that they are from the same ancestor, and that they are adapting to changes in the environment.

Just like the unicorn earthworm that Hongyun once encountered, they evolved regional subspecies due to their environment.

Because of the harsh environment, the creatures in the polar day are not as numerous as those outside, but there are still quite a few different species here.

Even in the land of polar day, there is darkness, but wherever darkness exists, there must be powerful creatures, because these creatures absorb light and heat.

You can see the red clouds; in the polar day, darkness occasionally flashes by, only to be quickly swallowed by light again.

The solar energy here is extremely concentrated, not as strong as on the Sun Star, but it is also far superior to other places.

"It's difficult to ascend to the Sun Star. There's a rich solar energy here, and perhaps treasures that can only be found on the Sun Star, such as Great Sun Essence Gold or Sun God Crystal..."

Hongyun murmured to himself, spreading his divine sense across a vast territory to search for places where treasures might exist.

As Hongyun's divine sense enveloped this territory, his unbridled probing attracted the attention of the local overlord—a fluttering moth.

On a high cliff lived a large moth creature with blue eyes, a pair of red antennae around its cheeks, a plump body, a ring of white down around its upper body, and four small legs.

Its abdomen is black in the center and light blue on the outside. It has three pairs of orange-red wings on its back, and black spots are also distributed on the wings and the outer side of its abdomen.

This is the Great Sun Moth, which lives in the land of polar day and is said to be a creature from the sun.

"Huh? A giant sun moth?!"

Hongyun also discovered this giant sun moth.

Hongyun sensed a strong aura of light on the Great Sun Moth. Although it wasn't very pure, it was a power primarily based on the power of the sun.

This giant sun moth is bigger than a Titan elephant, with sharp teeth and could tear a person to pieces in one bite.

The Great Sun Moth took to the sky, radiating terrifying light and heat, just like a second sun.

"Turn to ashes under the blazing sun!!"

The Great Sun Moth emitted a loud cry, flapped its wings, and formed a blazing tornado.

The tornado flew directly into the red clouds in the sky, burning everything in its path, from rocks to vegetation, to ashes.

"You dare attack me with only the strength of a Xuanxian?"

Hongyun scrutinized the Great Sun Moth, her brows furrowed slightly as she silently pondered the secrets of heaven, and then suddenly understood.

It's currently the breeding season for the Great Sun Moth, and they become particularly aggressive during this time.

"So it's the start of her heat cycle."

Knowing the situation, Hongyun was not surprised that the Great Sun Moth had attacked him.

Creatures in estrus are both acutely aware and numb to their surroundings. The aura of the red cloud would frighten normal creatures below the Golden Immortal level, but creatures in estrus would overcome their fear and attack.

Hongyun watched as the tornado blew in.

At that moment, without even moving a finger, he fixed the tornado in mid-air with his mind. His eyes trembled, and the tornado, fixed in mid-air, vanished in the blink of an eye.

Seeing the tornado easily dissipate in the red clouds, the Great Sun Moth's pupils contracted, knowing it had met its match.

"Buzzing—"

The Great Sun Moth emits a sharp cry.

Hongyun's ears twitched slightly. He could hear sounds from all around, and countless giant sun moths echoing and chirping. This giant sun moth was calling for help.

"I wonder if the Great Sun Moth can be used for alchemy?"

Hongyun thought to himself, looking at the giant sun moth that had called for help, and grabbed it directly with his large hand.

A gigantic hand, blotting out the sky and soaring into the clouds, seemed to darken even the land of polar day.

Faced with the threat of death, primal desires were once again suppressed by fear, and the Great Sun Moth instantly regained its senses.

"No, Your Excellency, spare my life!"

The Great Sun Moth roared, "My clan is the vanguard of the Phoenix Clan. Killing me would offend the Phoenix Clan."

In the primordial world, there were five kinds of insects: naked, scaled, hairy, feathered, and shelled, which divided the world into myriad races.

Naked insects (蠃虫/裸虫) refer to creatures whose bodies are naked and without significant hair, feathers or scales covering them. Their representatives and leaders are creatures in the form of innate Dao bodies. In addition, they also include creatures such as earthworms and frogs.

Scaled creatures refer to beings whose bodies are covered with scales, mainly including fish, as well as scaly creatures such as snakes and lizards, with the dragon as their leader.

Caterpillars refer to creatures whose bodies are covered with hair, mainly including mammals such as cattle and horses, corresponding to some modern mammals, with the Qilin as their leader.

Feathered creatures refer to beings whose bodies are covered with feathers, mainly including birds such as chickens and ducks, with the phoenix as their leader.

Insects (shelled insects/beetles) refer to creatures with a carapace or hard exoskeleton on their body surface, including crustaceans such as turtles, soft-shelled turtles, crabs, and shellfish, as well as some insects in the modern sense, whose leader is the spirit turtle/divine turtle.

The Great Sun Moth can fly, has no scales or prominent hairs, so it belongs to the feathered insects among the five types of insects.

Among the five insects, the naked insect (哮虫/裸虫) is the most special, or rather, the creatures with the innate Dao body form among the naked insects are special, as all things can cultivate into an innate Dao body.

In the primordial world, the innate Dao body is closest to the Great Dao, because this is the form in which the great god Pangu transformed the primordial world.

Hongyun smirked and sneered, "I've already offended the Dragon Clan and the Qilin Clan, so I'm not afraid of offending the Phoenix Clan as well. You might as well just die!"

The Great Sun Moth let out a miserable cry as its primordial spirit was annihilated, but its body remained unharmed and was collected by Hongyun.

Hongyun stretched out his hand, and a giant sun moth, about the size of a palm, radiating light and heat, lay in his palm.

"It's small, but it looks quite exquisite."

After thinking it over, Hongyun didn't refine it into pills, but instead made it into a specimen, which she would take out to admire from time to time.

Having done all this, Hongyun headed deeper into the land of polar day, where he soon encountered a new Great Sun Moth.

After the Great Sun Moth cried out for help, the entire polar day region was in an uproar. Knowing that an enemy had invaded, some powerful Great Sun Moths flew towards the area.

When the giant sun moth saw the red cloud, it was about to make its move, but before it could attack, the red cloud killed it first and even performed a "butcher's skill in dissecting an ox".
