Chapter 37: Malice from My Cousin

How dare you slander someone's innocence out of thin air?

Upon hearing this, Madara Uchiha turned red in anger and yelled at Gin Uchiha, regretting that he hadn't confided in his unreliable cousin.

"I thought you were old enough to give me some constructive advice, but I didn't expect you to be such a shallow person! I, Ban, am ashamed to be associated with you."

Having said that, he flicked his sleeves and dashed out the door like the wind.

"Hey, don't go! Let me give you some advice, otherwise you'll be someone's bottom for the rest of your life!"

Uchiha Gin made a megaphone shape with his hand and shouted loudly at Uchiha Madara's back, attracting the attention of passersby in the corridor, who began to whisper among themselves.

Madara Uchiha wished he had two more legs so he could escape this dangerous place as soon as possible.

Seeing his older brother fleeing in a disheveled state, Izuna, who was standing at the door, immediately put down the medicine he had just received and chased after him, staging a dramatic youthful chase.

Completely bewildered, Uchiha Tajima watched as his two sons ran away one after another, then turned around and asked with a puzzled look,

"Ah Yin, why are you teasing Ban again?"

"Hehe, it's nothing. Just go back and ask Izuna. He said he'll report this to you personally."

Uchiha Gin smiled, his eyes narrowed.

"That's so rude! I'll definitely give this child a good talking-to when I get back."

Uchiha Tajima shook his head, as if he felt sorry for Uchiha Madara's behavior.

"Uncle, you're really treating me like an outsider."

In private, when no outsiders were present, Uchiha Tajima would have Uchiha Gin call him uncle instead of clan leader.

"Ah Yin, it was my mistake. You just came back from a mission and I put you to work right away. I didn't even give you time to rest."

Uchiha Tajima looked guilty as he reflected on his actions.

"You're being too polite. It's all my fault for not being skilled enough and getting injured by the Senju clan."

When Uchiha Gin woke up, he overheard Madara and Izuna's conversation. His unconsciousness was attributed to an old injury from the previous mission by Uchiha Miao. Since he didn't want to expose his actions, he naturally took the opportunity to back down.

"You need to take good care of your head injury to avoid any long-term effects."

Uchiha Tajima patted Uchiha Gin on the shoulder, behaving like a kind elder.

However, from the other person's eyes, Uchiha Gin vaguely sensed a fleeting scrutiny.

"Ah Yin, you haven't finished the mission report from last time, have you? What happened after you encountered the Uzumaki clan? Did you encounter any suspicious people?"

After offering his condolences to Uchiha Gin, Uchiha Tajima casually brought up the previous mission.

Thinking back, the last time I gave a report, I was forcibly interrupted after revealing my Sharingan, and I never made up for it afterwards.

"When we encountered the Uzumaki clan, we were quickly overwhelmed due to the disparity in numbers and strength."

After thinking for a moment, Uchiha Gin began to recount, "The muscular leader of the opposing team beat Captain Feng Huo to a standstill. Fortunately, I captured a young Uzumaki clan member in the forest."

Recalling Mito Uzumaki's adorable bun hairstyle, Gin Uchiha continued with a smile.

"That child from the Uzumaki clan seems to be quite important. I used her as leverage to distract the muscular man, and finally made a deal with him: I released the child, and he spared our lives."

After listening to Uchiha Gin's half-truthful account, Uchiha Tajima nodded.

"He remained calm in the face of danger; he truly is my nephew."

"It's all thanks to my cousin's usual guidance and support."

Uchiha Gin complimented.

"Did you encounter any strange people or things again?"

Undeterred, Uchiha Tajima asked the question again.

"Oh, now that you mention it, it reminds me of that Uzumaki clan child. During the time I captured him, he took out a ninja tool in an attempt to resist."

Uchiha Gin slammed his fist down, as if he had remembered something.

"What ninja tools?"

Uchiha Tajima became interested.

"It's just a pearl, nothing special. After the opponent used it, only one rune came towards me, but after it hit, there was no special reaction. Maybe it's broken."

Uchiha Gin shrugged, indicating that he felt no discomfort.

"Where did you hit him?"

"here."

Uchiha Gin pointed to his head.

"Oh, I see. Then Yin, you should get some rest and don't go to work for a while."

Uchiha Tajima first frowned slightly, then stood up and said to Uchiha Gin.

"I'm fine now, and I can go to work as usual tomorrow."

Uchiha Gin got off the bed and performed several difficult moves for Uchiha Tajima to prove that he was fine.

"Okay, don't push yourself."

Unable to refuse, Uchiha Tajima had no choice but to nod in agreement.

Uchiha Gin smiled as he watched his cousin leave, but once the man was out of sight, the smug smile on Uchiha Gin's face faded.

This Uchiha Tajima is hiding something from him.

During their conversation, Uchiha Gin somehow sensed something in his heart, a feeling that told him that Uchiha Tajima harbored a very subtle malice towards him.

"Is it just my imagination?"

Uchiha Gin thought to himself, but once this feeling took root, it was not easy to get rid of.

After a short while, Uchiha Gin, having finished getting ready, bid farewell to the hospital bed. Seeing that it was getting late, he knew he should go home.

I bought a lot of vegetables when I passed by the market, just in case he doesn't come back one day, that brat Senju Itama can make do for a few days.

After selecting several durable ingredients, just as he was about to pay the vendor, he was surprised to sense a hint of malice emanating from him.

This feeling came suddenly and left him bewildered for a moment. In the end, he decided to throw the money at the merchant in front of him, whose eyes were darting around.

Carrying his things, he walked back with his head down, still pondering whether the feeling he had just experienced was an illusion or something else entirely.

Pushing open the door, he found that the Senju Itama, who hadn't attacked him this time, had been tidied up and looked brand new. The room, which had been somewhat messy, was now sparkling clean.

Hearing the door open, the black-haired version of Senju Itama, wearing an apron, poked his head out of the kitchen and looked Uchiha Gin up and down with an unpleasant expression.

"Why are you up so early today?"

"What are you doing, you brat?"

I tried using the sensory input I had just used on Senju Itama, and found that there was no malicious feedback.

"Hmph, I only made my own. If you want some, make it yourself!"

It was only then that Uchiha Gin realized that the kid was actually holding a spatula.

"Oh my, you, the eldest son of the Senju family, can actually cook?"

Uchiha Gin, out of curiosity, squeezed in, only to find an indescribable mass of substance in the pot.

"Hey, hey, hey, what kind of Kejia cuisine are you making?"

"Who are you underestimating? Give it a try, it's absolutely delicious!"

Sensing the doubt in the other party's tone, Senju Itama immediately took a plate of something with a mosaic effect from the pot and handed it to Uchiha Gin.

"Forget it, I'm not worthy of it. I'm afraid if I eat it, I'll be able to see my Uchiha grandma."

Despite being moved, Gin Uchiha refused, wanting to live a few more years.

"Don't beg me to give you a bite later."

With an air of misplaced confidence, she picked up a lump of food and stuffed it into her mouth.

A few seconds later

"Please, don't die!"

As Senju Itama swayed, foaming at the mouth, Uchiha Gin was filled with remorse.

If I had just finished the whole pot by myself, he would have only had diarrhea a few times at most. This kid is really daring.

Fortunately, it ended without serious injury. Senju Itama was shaken so badly that he vomited uncontrollably, throwing up everything he had just eaten, and thus survived.

Looking at the extremely weak kid in front of him, Uchiha Gin felt a wave of fear. Now the kid's life was tied to his own. If anything happened to him, he would lose his life as well.

Picking up the little brat, his thin body was very light and soft, as if boneless. Looking at the little brat's sleeping face, Uchiha Gin-fat realized that the little brat wasn't so unpleasant to look at; his small, round face was even a little cute.

He shook his head, dispelling the strange thoughts in his mind. He wasn't Madara Uchiha, so why would he have any feelings for a man from the Senju clan?
