Chapter 1 The Unchanging Man (A False One)

Konoha 27 years

"Today is another peaceful day."

On the streets of Konoha, a man with naturally curly black hair strolled leisurely under the eaves of a shop with the carefree gait of a spirited young man.

The man was very handsome, but his dead fish eyes completely ruined his overall appearance, making him look incredibly irritating.

Although the man had the air of an unreliable, idle socialite, the surrounding crowd didn't avoid him. An old man sunbathing asked with a grin:

"Ah Yin, are we heading somewhere for a mission?"

"No, I was just taking a stroll. I'm giving myself a day off today."

The man with naturally curly hair, also known as Ah Yin, stopped and answered casually.

After he finished speaking, he seemed to remember something, and rummaged around in his high-necked robe for a while before pulling out a stick-like object and tossing it to the old man, while also putting one in his own pocket.

The old man looked at the lollipop thrown at him with a dark expression and said:

"We're too old to eat this kind of thing."

"Really? I remember you used to really like eating them?"

Ah Yin glanced at the old man sideways and said, a strange emotion flashing in her lifeless, dead fish eyes.

"Yes, that was in the past."

Although the old man didn't eat it, he still carefully put the lollipop away and then said with a smile.

"I can save it for my grandson. He'll be a month old tomorrow, and I'll invite you to his one-month celebration then."

"Why do we have to drink again? How can a lowly ninja like me afford this kind of drinking? Alright, I have to go catch a few more cats."

Ah Yin scratched her messy, curly hair and said with annoyance.

"Hehe, remember to come then."

"By the way, have you decided on a name for your grandson? How about I name him? He'll definitely be easy to raise. What do you think of 'Dog Egg'?"

The old man stared speechlessly at the man who seemed to be going a little crazy.

"It's all set up, let's call it Watergate."

Ah Yin, who was still enthusiastically brainstorming names for her child, was stunned when she heard this name. Some things flashed through her mind in a daze.

"What's wrong? Don't you like it?"

Suddenly remembering the old man's dazzling blond hair when he was young, Ah Yin felt relieved.

"It's nothing, just some dead memories attacking me."

After saying that, Ah Yin raised her head, looked at the two very different rock paintings on the distant mountain, and sighed.

"I think your grandson has extraordinary talent and may be the reincarnation of the Sage of Six Paths. He has the potential to become a Hokage and will surely have a bright future."

The old man was puzzled when he heard this.

"But you haven't seen it yet!"

"Observe the stars at night."

The old man paused, then looked up at the blazing summer sun.

"Those stars are truly dazzling."

When she turned her head again, the man beside her had vanished.

"Tsk, how many times has it been? Still leaving without saying goodbye."

The old man shook his head and turned to tend to his shop.

On the other side, the man was still wandering aimlessly, his dead fish eyes seemingly uninterested in anything.

"Lord Yin, the clan meeting is about to start, why are you still wandering around here?"

Suddenly a voice came, and a young man with black hair knelt behind Ah Yin and said respectfully to him.

"The clan leader isn't even home, so what's the point of holding a clan meeting? Are we just going to listen to those so-called elders spouting nonsense? I'd rather just stroll around."

The man known as Uchiha Gin casually picked at his ear, seemingly dismissive of such an important event.

The man who came to deliver the message seemed to have expected this answer. He hesitated, his eyes showing seven parts fear and three parts confusion. He carefully chose his words and said somewhat timidly,

"Please don't make things difficult for me. I'm only responsible for informing you. Whether you go or not is your choice. But the Grand Elder said that you must remember that you are still an Uchiha."

After saying that, he disappeared in a flash.

"This is utterly boring. You really think you can start making trouble just because that awful white-haired guy is gone? This murky water in Konoha is not something you simple-minded people can wade into. Why do you have to fight for the Hokage position that even dogs wouldn't want? Why don't you just sit back and have some fun with me?"

Looking in the direction the other person had left, Uchiha Gin rolled his dead fish eyes.

Smoke filled the Hokage's office beneath the Hokage Rock. A figure was working on a stack of documents taller than a person when suddenly someone pushed open the door and entered.

"Hiruzen, I've received reliable information that the Uchiha clan is holding another secret meeting today. I've received the details from the insider. It's time to make our move!"

A handsome man in his thirties with an X-shaped scar on his chin slammed a document down in front of the person who was processing documents.

The person who was disturbed looked up, speechless at their best friend, and casually tossed the document into the trash can next to them.

"you!!!"

The young Danzang Tiger's eyes widened, and he almost couldn't catch his breath.

"Danzo, don't focus all your attention on the Uchiha clan right now. The village has finally ushered in a period of peace, and everything needs to be rebuilt. At this time, we cannot allow any major problems to occur within the village."

Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage who had recently been appointed Hokage in a time of crisis, was smoking a cigarette and comforting his close friend.

"That's a race born evil; we must never underestimate them."

Shimura Danzo spoke with a fierce tone, but inwardly he was overjoyed.

Hehe, I finally caught them red-handed!

"Shh"

Upon hearing the phrase "born evil," Hiruzen Sarutobi looked around warily and hissed at the other person to stop talking.

Upon being reminded, Shimura Danzo seemed to realize what he had said, and his expression became slightly unnatural, but he still stubbornly retorted.

"You're Hokage now, what are you afraid of?"

"What are you afraid of?"

Just as the two were talking, a lazy voice interrupted.

"I'm worried about that curly-haired guy with big, dead-fish eyes. Ughhhhh!"

Interrupted, Shimura Danzo had only uttered half a sentence in response to the question when he was horrified to discover a figure standing behind him.

"What's big?"

"Super, super handsome guy."

As if he had thought of something terrifying, Shimura Danzo blushed and stammered in response.

"Oh my, isn't this little Tuantuan? Long time no see."

Upon hearing the reply, Uchiha Gin familiarly patted Shimura Danzo on the shoulder and said with a smile.

"What have you been up to lately? Are you still working on that thing of yours? Are you hiring? I'm a little short on cash lately."

Seeing the flustered expression on Shimura Danzo's face after hearing those words, Uchiha Gin patted him on the shoulder with satisfaction.

"Just kidding!"

"Little monkey, I've come to take on a few D-rank missions. That little guy from the Bofeng family has become a grandfather and invited me to his full-moon celebration. I need to go and make some money."

Uchiha Gin turned to Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was sitting at his desk, and said.

Upon hearing this, Hiruzen Sarutobi had an "I knew it" expression on his face and casually pulled out a few mission sheets from the drawer next to him and handed them to Gin Uchiha.

"Everything's prepared for you, but are you sure you don't want to take on a more difficult mission? Your abilities shouldn't be up to par."

"What do you mean I shouldn't be? I'm just a genin, the number one genin personally awarded by Hasi Hot Mom. Don't you know how strong I am?"

Upon receiving the mission, Uchiha Gin happily flipped through the task in his hand.

"It's all pretty good. I'll be going now. You two good buddies can have fun."

Watching Uchiha Gin leave, Shimura Danzo finally breathed a sigh of relief and said with a heavy expression:

"Why is he still like this?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was sitting in his seat, also breathed a sigh of relief, but his eyes showed a deep-seated fear, and his face became solemn.

"He still looks about thirty years old. All these years, ever since we can remember, he seems to have looked exactly like this, right?"

"Yes, it has never changed."

"Could that technique really be that miraculous?"

Both of them fell into deep thought, after all, only a handful of people knew this technique, and they had no way of verifying the answer to this question.
