Tuantuan looked up at her father, and seeing Lin Fan nod slightly, she stretched out her two little hands to take the candy box and said in her childish voice, "Hello, Uncle Sun."

"Oh! Such a good girl!"

Sun Peng was overjoyed. He stood up abruptly, pointed to the pink, thick down jacket hanging in the store and the snow boots next to it, and then turned to the sales assistant not far away and shouted loudly:

"Hey you! Pack both of these outfits in the little girl's size!"

Upon hearing this, the sales assistant immediately jogged over to greet him, her attitude extremely respectful: "Yes, Mr. Sun, I'll go to the warehouse to get the new sizes right away."

"Hey, what do you mean I own it? It was set up by my wife's family."

Sun Peng took out his car keys and twirled them on his finger, laughing nonchalantly, "Zhou Yun's family used to be in the clothing export business. A few years ago, after they got married, they took over two agency rights for this brand on this floor of the China World Trade Center."

"Usually Zhou Yun is the one who keeps an eye on things, and I only come over on weekends to help out with odd jobs."

At this point, Sun Peng turned to look at Lin Fan, his eyes glaring at him: "Old Lin, don't you dare mention paying anything to me!"

"It's my own shop, and I, as the uncle, am asking you to pay for two pieces of clothing for my own niece? If this gets back to our old dorm group chat, Old Zhang and Monkey will be tearing me apart!"

Zhou Yun, who was standing next to him, also walked forward with a smile, took Tuantuan's soft little hand, and looked up at Lin Fan and said:

"Lin Fan, this store has plenty of clothes. It's rare to run into such a place today. The little girl is so pretty, like a porcelain doll. I like her at first sight."

"Come on, little girl, let's take Tuantuan to the fitting room inside and pick out a couple more warm innerwear and hats for her."

"Huh? I'm going too?" Su Xiaoxiao pointed to herself a little shyly.

"Go ahead, young lady, you have good taste, help me decide." Zhou Yun, with her generous personality, led Tuantuan and Su Xiaoxiao towards the boutique display area inside the counter.

Tuantuan looked back at Lin Fan, and seeing her father nod, she followed Zhou Yun and Aunt Xiaoxiao inside with peace of mind, still chewing on the imported milk candy that Sun Peng had given her.

Watching the two women lead the little girl away, only Lin Fan and Sun Peng, two grown men, remained in the rest area outside the counter.

Sun Peng pulled Lin Fan to sit down on the sofa in front of the counter.

He took out a pack of Zhonghua cigarettes from his pocket, handed one to Lin Fan, lit one for himself, and took a deep drag.

"Smoking is prohibited in the mall, but there are no smoke detectors in this corner, so it's okay to take a couple of puffs." Sun Peng exhaled a puff of smoke, leaned back on the sofa, and looked at Lin Fan.

Lin Fan held the cigarette between his fingers without lighting it, and simply placed it on the glass coffee table next to him.

"Old Lin, where have you been for the past five years?"

Sun Peng flicked his cigarette ash, his playful smile completely vanishing, and his tone became unusually serious:

"Back when you were graduating in your senior year, the old dean called you into his office three times and insisted on giving you the only spot in the entire college that was guaranteed admission to the provincial architectural design institute."

"As a result, you gave up your spot to be with Su Qing, and got your marriage certificate right after graduation."

Sun Peng leaned back on the sofa, took a drag of his cigarette, and continued, "Back in school, the whole school knew you were dating Su Qing."

"Su Qing is beautiful and comes from a well-off family. I thought you two were a perfect match and would definitely have a great life after graduation."

"Later you changed your phone number and left the WeChat group. We all went our separate ways and gradually lost contact."

At this point, Sun Peng glanced around at the entrance of the store and asked with some curiosity:

"By the way, where's Su Qing? You brought your daughter out to buy clothes in this freezing weather, why didn't she come with you? Is she still busy with company matters?"

Lin Fan looked calmly at his daughter trying on clothes in the store, his tone completely even:

"We're divorced. We just went through the formalities a while ago."

"Divorced...divorced?!"

Sun Peng's hand holding the cigarette butt trembled violently, and he froze on the sofa, his eyes widening instantly.

He stared at Lin Fan's calm and composed demeanor for several seconds before he reacted.

Sun Peng stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray, not bothering to ask about the upsetting details of the divorce, and patted Lin Fan on the shoulder:

"Good riddance! Back in school, I found Su Qing's condescending arrogance unbearable!"

"A real man, after getting divorced, raises his daughter well and earns a living with his own hands. That's a million times better than being a live-in son-in-law in the Su family!"

Sun Peng leaned back on the sofa and then asked with concern, "So how are you doing financially? Taking care of a child on your own is quite expensive."

"If you encounter any difficulties, just let me know. Raising 100,000 or 200,000 yuan for working capital is no problem at all."

Lin Fan smiled and said, "I'm not short of money, and life is going quite smoothly."

As they were talking, the curtain of the fitting room on the inside of the store was lifted.

"Dad! Look!"

Tuantuan was wearing a brand new pink, thick, mid-length down jacket, fluffy pink snow boots, and a little red hat with ear flaps. She ran out with her cheerful little legs.

The little girl was wrapped up tightly, her fair face rosy, like a lucky baby from a New Year's painting.

Zhou Yun and Su Xiaoxiao followed behind, each carrying two sets of matching warm innerwear and small scarves.

Zhou Yun walked over with a smile: "Old Sun, look how well Tuantuan looks in this outfit. She's such a beautiful little girl."

When Sun Peng saw Tuantuan, his eyes narrowed into slits with a smile.

He stood up abruptly, waving at the sales assistant: "Alright, stop taking them off, just keep what you're wearing! Pack the remaining two inner layers and hat in bags! Sales assistant, process the transaction, and pay my bill!"

"Old Sun, these are my own clothes, I'll pay for them myself." Lin Fan took out his bank card.

"Old Lin, don't give me that crap!" Sun Peng glared at him and grabbed his hand.

"It's been three years since we last met. What's wrong with me buying my niece two winter coats? If you dare to pay for them, you're slapping me, Sun Peng, in the face!"

Zhou Yun also smiled and advised, "Lin Fan, just listen to Lao Sun. He genuinely cares about Tuantuan. These clothes are just the factory cost if you get them from his own store, so don't be polite with us."

Seeing the sincere couple, Lin Fan didn't refuse any longer and took the bank card back: "Okay, then consider it your expense as your uncle."

"That's more like it!" Sun Peng grinned.

The sales assistant deftly packed the old clothes and new innerwear into two elegant paper bags.

Sun Peng glanced down at his watch; it was almost 11:30 a.m.

"Old Lin, you've taken all the clothes. You can't get away with having lunch today, not even if the King of Heaven himself comes."

Sun Peng put his arm around Lin Fan's shoulder: "We have to sit down and have a couple of drinks today! It's been three years since we last met, and I have a ton of things to say to you!"

Lin Fan smiled and said, "Okay, I'll do as you say."

"Let's go! Up to the seventh floor!"
