Chapter 70 Invincible Banner

The Ancient One lying on the ground, Kaecilius at a loss, Loki with his hands raised, Tony standing frozen in mid-air, Thor crashing into the building in a stark pose, and Banner standing proudly.

This is the battlefield.

"Mr. Banner, I think this is a misunderstanding."

Loki forced a smile, trying his best to make it look more genuine.

"You've misunderstood too?"

Banner glanced at Loki with interest. Why do these people always like to talk about misunderstandings? Do they really enjoy "misunderstanding" others?

"Eh? Has anyone else mentioned a misunderstanding?"

Loki forced an awkward smile, and inadvertently made eye contact with Casillas. Seeing the other's embarrassed smile, he immediately realized who the last person to claim it was a misunderstanding was.

"Listen up! I don't care if this is a misunderstanding or intentional, today you are all sacrifices offered to the great Blood God, and none of you will leave here alive!"

Banner raised his battle axe and pointed it at everyone; the meaning couldn't be clearer.

If you don't resist, I'll kill you all!

"I'm not down yet, Banner. Do you know how Bronsky is doing?"

Thor staggered out of the rubble, twisted his body a few times, and after confirming that he was alright, asked Banner a question.

"So what if you killed him? What's there to say?"

Banner shook his head indifferently. The reason he didn't kill Bronsky at the time was simply because he was a fighting force to some extent, and besides, he was a colonel on the front line and had some prestige in his troops. Killing him directly would have a bad influence.

At least it's only been a short time since people converted to terrorism, and the change in their beliefs hasn't been that quick.

Thor opened his mouth wide, his throat bobbing, wanting to say something but unable to utter a word. Banner's nonchalant attitude truly baffled him.

If Thor's own men were to die in battle, he might very well shed tears on the spot.

"Enough with the nonsense, it's time for the slaughter to begin!"

As Banner's cold and ruthless declaration fell, the entire battlefield seemed to be shrouded in an invisible dark cloud.

His eyes gleamed with an unusual light, a thirst for battle and power, and a contempt for the "sacrifices" before him.

Before Thor could fully recover from the shock, Banner pounced on him like a tiger descending a mountain.

Thor hastily raised Mjolnir, attempting to use his lightning power to block the attack, but Banner's strength was beyond imagination. The collision between the battle axe and Mjolnir produced a deafening sound, making Thor's arm numb and dimming the light of Mjolnir.

Immediately afterwards, Banner turned and appeared beside Loki like a ghost.

Loki tried to dodge with his speed, but Banner seemed to have anticipated his movements. With a swing of his axe, Loki felt an irresistible force strike him, and he was sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground, spitting blood, unable to get up for a moment.

Upon seeing this, Tony was terrified. He quickly adjusted his Iron Man suit, preparing to launch his most powerful attack.

However, Banner seemed to have seen through his intentions. Just as Tony's laser cannon was about to fire, he rushed towards Tony at an astonishing speed and suddenly threw a punch at him.

Tony felt a tremendous force strike him, and he and his Iron Man suit were thrown far away, crashing into several buildings before he could barely regain his footing.

Seeing that things were going badly, Casillas immediately cast a spell, attempting to use illusions to confuse Banner.

But Banner's armor seemed to have a natural resistance to magic. He roared and unleashed a powerful energy wave that instantly shattered Kaecilius's illusion.

He then charged toward Casillas, swung his battle axe, and knocked Casillas to the ground, rendering him unable to move.

The entire battlefield fell into a deathly silence, with only Banner's heavy breathing and the whistling sound of the battle axe cutting through the air remaining.

He looked around at the people lying on the ground, a cruel smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

Just as Banner was about to end this seemingly one-sided battle, a faint but firm voice pierced the silence of the battlefield.

"Banner, stop!"

The voice came from the Ancient One, who had recovered a great deal of energy.

"Supreme Sorcerer, are you still able to use the sacred artifacts?"

Kaecilius quickly approached the Ancient One and whispered something.

The relic refers to the Eye of Agamotto, but unfortunately, it is no longer usable.

The Ancient One shook her head almost imperceptibly, and Kaecilius, seeing this, quickly moved away from her side.

They've run out of cards, yet they still dare to taunt Banner; it's nothing more than their hypocrisy at play.

If Banner kills you, just hope your blood doesn't splatter on you.

Seeing this, Master Gu Yi was not angry, but put his hands together and prayed.

At the Ancient One's faint but firm voice of dissuasion, Banner paused slightly, but was immediately overwhelmed by an even stronger desire to fight.

He raised his battle axe once more, ready to deliver the final blow to these "sacrifices".

Just as the attack was about to strike the Ancient One, a slender, giant, transparent bird with deep, pupil-less eyes and exposed sharp teeth grabbed her and flew away with her.

As soon as the strange bird appeared, a strong killing intent flashed in Casillas's eyes.

"You think I can't do anything to you just because you're airborne?"

Banner flew into a rage and started running quickly. Before long, he was slowly running through the air.

Seeing this, Thor, though his arm was still numb from the previous collision, knew he couldn't just sit and wait to die.

He gritted his teeth and used all his strength to lift Thor's hammer again, lightning gathering around him to form a dazzling light.

"For Asgard!"

Thor roared and charged at Banner, Mjolnir, with devastating force, crashing down on Banner's battle axe.

This time, the collision was even more intense, as if the entire space was trembling. However, Banner's strength seemed inexhaustible; he steadily blocked Thor's attack and took the opportunity to kick Thor away.

Tony witnessed all of this from a distance, feeling extremely anxious. Just then, his small cargo vehicle flew over.

Tony quickly opened it, took out the magic conch shell, and pulled the cord.

"Magic Conch, please tell me how to defeat Banner, don't tell me to do nothing."

The magic conch shell quickly responded.

"Why don't you go ask the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a solution?"

That's right!

Tony slapped his forehead, realizing he had forgotten about Xia Ling.

It's said he's Yahweh—no, it's confirmed—he should have a way to solve this, right?

Tony flew quickly to Xia Ling's side, and luckily he wasn't too far away from him either.

"I know why you've come, but I'm afraid it won't be as you wish."

"Why? Because New York is..."

"Wait a minute, I can't, but that doesn't mean no one can."

After Xia Ling finished speaking, she looked at Coulson, and Tony's gaze followed her.

Coulson's eyes widened, and he pointed at Banner, then at himself.

"I?"
