Chapter 47 Fierce Battle

How is that possible? How could a human have such power?

Matt struggled desperately, but he couldn't break free from the large hands gripping his neck.

The last time I encountered such power was with that monster I met that night.

If it weren't for his good luck, and the fact that the monster was irrational, Matt would have been dead long ago.

The man who was choking her today was many times more powerful than the monster from that day.

What's wrong with this world? How come everyone's power has become so exaggerated? Am I falling behind the times?

Matt couldn't help but wonder to himself, could those gods really exist?

Matt was overwhelmed with unprecedented shock and confusion; the reality before him seemed to shatter his long-held beliefs and understanding.

"Who...who are you?"

Matt's voice was hoarse and weak, each word sounding like it was being squeezed out from the depths of his throat.

The man ignored Matt and continued to look in the direction of the church.

He then tossed Matt aside as if he were trash and walked straight toward the church.

"Your power... cannot possibly be something only humans possess... Who exactly are you?"

Matt managed to squeeze out those words and struggled to his feet.

Although the man had only thrown it casually, it still severely injured Matt, who was just recovering from serious injuries. He felt an unprecedented despair, but a trace of resentment still burned deep in his heart.

"Are you finally beginning to feel the greatness of the power bestowed by God? My name is Bronsky, and I am the sole representative of the Blood God in this world!"

"Oh, is that so? But I heard that the representative of that Otherworldly being called the Blood God is the Red Giant Bruce Banner?"

The sarcastic voice drifted from the direction of the church. Bronsky turned around angrily to see who dared to say such a thing. Did they have a death wish?

Whether it's blaspheming the gods he believes in or saying that he's inferior to Bruce Banner, it's something he absolutely cannot tolerate!

"Who are you? How dare you blaspheme the great Blood God? I, Bronsky, am the true warrior chosen by the Blood God. Bruce Banner is nothing but a failed experiment; he cannot fully control the Blood God's power!"

The group of people in robes in front of him aroused Bronsky's anger. How dare these heretics blaspheme against God?

"It's just a demon, nothing compared to the great Father."

Evans shook his head dismissively. As the second-in-command of the Church of Dagon, apart from the Great Father, the others were at most demons. Only the Great Father deserved to be called God!

As Evans finished speaking with disdain, the members of the Church of Dagon surrounded him, their robes swaying gently in the breeze, as if every strand of fabric contained an ancient and mysterious power.

A strange energy fluctuation began to permeate the air; it was the power bestowed upon them by their god.

Seeing this, Bronsky's eyes widened in fury. He roared and charged toward the group of infidels who dared to provoke him, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.

His muscles bulged with rage, and a dark red glow emanated from beneath his skin—a sign that the power of the Blood God was boiling within him.

"You ants, how dare you question my power!"

Bronsky roared, his fists clenched, ready to annihilate the infidels with overwhelming force.

However, Evans merely smiled coldly, slowly raising his right hand and silently chanting an ancient incantation.

In an instant, the air around the church seemed to freeze. Then, chains made of shadows emerged from all directions, wrapping around Bronsky as if they were alive, trying to restrain the raging warrior.

Bronsky roared and struggled with all his might, but the chains, though exceptionally strong, proved utterly fragile in the face of such immense power.

After breaking free of his chains, Bronsky charged forward like an enraged bull.

Seeing this, the members of the Dagon Church dared not delay and used their prized magic to try to stop the human tank.

But compared to Bronsky, who was showing his full strength, these magicians were still a bit too inexperienced.

Before the magic could even reach Bronsky, he rushed up to the Dagon Church members and grabbed at Evans with a claw.

Seeing that things were going badly, Evans immediately teleported away.

Seeing that his claw missed, Bronsky suddenly grabbed another priest next to him and twisted him hard.

"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!"

With a cracking sound of bones breaking, the priest screamed in agony before he could use magic to escape.

Bronsky tore off his lower body, which allowed him to successfully lose weight.

After cutting him in half at the waist, Bronsky rushed behind another priest with lightning speed.

Immediately afterwards, the priest's head shot out like a cannonball, striking one of his companions squarely in the chest and instantly creating a large hole in his chest.

That wasn't the end of it. Behind him, several other people in a straight line were also pierced by the head-shaped bullets, crashing into the wall and exploding with a bang.

Blood-tinged brain matter splattered everywhere, covering Matt.

The priests, their chests outstretched, stared incredulously at the large holes in their chests. After a long silence, they finally collapsed helplessly into a neat row.

With Bronsky's current strength, he could dismantle even a tank with his bare hands, let alone the fragile human body.

Moreover, the thrill of tearing an enemy to shreds at close range is something that can never be forgotten.

Bronsky was addicted to the thrill of killing, and perhaps, in the future, Khorne would see him as a warrior more pleasing to Him than Banner.

Bronsky's eyes gleamed with madness and bloodlust. Every swing of his fist and every tearing of life gave him an unprecedented sense of pleasure and release of power.

His laughter echoed through the streets, a melody of victory and madness that sent chills down one's spine.

Matt huddled to one side, filled with fear and shock. Once again, he was powerless, and this time he had no strength to fight back.

He never imagined that humans could possess such terrifying power, nor did he expect that he would become a witness to this struggle between gods.

He felt his worldview was being completely overturned, and things he once thought only existed in legends were now so real and vivid in front of him.

He wanted to stop the fight, but the excruciating pain in his body prevented him from getting up.

Even if he could stand up, how could he possibly stop the battle between these monsters?

There's nothing he can do but curl up here.
