Chapter 42 Iron Man Saves the Day?

Chapter 42 Iron Man Saves the Day?

What is the world like after death?

Coulson had never understood, but after today, he did.

Coulson lay on the cold ground, everything around him seemed to have lost its color, and time seemed to freeze at that moment.

His consciousness gradually cleared from the chaos, but his body was unable to move, as if bound by an invisible force.

The scene before my eyes began to distort, no longer the familiar real world, but a bizarre new dimension.

He found himself in a vast, boundless void, dotted with stars, like the most dazzling jewels in the night sky, yet unbound by gravity, floating freely.

The light here becomes soft and changeable, sometimes as bright as day, sometimes as dim as dusk, creating a tranquility and mystery that transcends the mundane world.

In this void, Coulson felt an unprecedented peace and freedom. Freed from the constraints and responsibilities of his previous life, he felt as if he had become a gentle breeze, able to freely traverse among the stars and explore the mysteries of the universe.

But he also realized that this was not true death, but a strange state between life and death.

As his consciousness gradually penetrated deeper into this void, he encountered a blurry human figure.

Although he couldn't see the figure's face clearly, he felt that the figure was so sacred and so great.

Am I in heaven, and the person opposite me is an angel, or perhaps Yahweh?

A sense of awe welled up in Coulson's heart. He tried to ask a question, but found that his voice seemed to have lost its substance in this void and could not be transmitted.

Just as he was feeling confused and lost, the figure slowly moved forward, surrounded by a soft and warm light that seemed to dispel all darkness and cold.

As the figure drew closer, Coulson felt an unprecedented sense of peace and guidance.

"Coulson, now is not the time for you to be here."

A gentle yet profound voice resonated in his heart. It was a voice he had never heard before, yet it felt strangely familiar and comforting.

He wanted to ask the person in front of him whether he was an angel or Yahweh, but it was as if he had no mouth; he couldn't utter the words he wanted to say.

"You have a greater mission. The Lord's messenger has come and will lead you to save the world. You must help him complete this mission."

Now, go back, wake up!

As the words fell, the surrounding scenery began to blur, and the stars and the void seemed to be slowly rotating, eventually converging into a dazzling light that enveloped Coulson.

"Look at how weak you are now."

Casillas's voice resounded in everyone's ears, carrying a hint of disdain and contempt.

"Supreme Sorcerer, you lived for so long, taught so many sorcerers, and warned us never to absorb the power of the Dark Dimension."

As Casillas walked, he scanned his surroundings, and everyone he looked at felt a chill run down their spines.

"But what about you? You've been secretly drawing power from the dark dimension all by yourself, and that's how you've survived for so many years."

Casillas slowly raised his hand, and a ball of green energy condensed in his palm, seemingly possessing the power to devour everything.

"From that moment on, I understood that the so-called Supreme Master was nothing more than a two-faced prostitute, and ultimately unreliable."

Only power is what people can truly rely on. Since we monks have to obtain power through borrowing, why can't we find a more generous and benevolent leader?

As he said this, Casillas's face was full of piety.

"Now, I have found our great Father, who is the true God who loves us! As long as you believe in Him with me, you too can become as powerful as I am, and even enjoy eternal life!"

Casillas stretched out his hand to the crowd, and at the same time, a large group of priests and believers appeared from behind Casillas.

They were dressed in strange and solemn attire, their faces devout, their eyes shining with fervent faith in the "great father" that Casillas spoke of.

"Behold this power." Casillas's voice grew impassioned as he waved the green energy ball in his hand, its light leaping through the crowd as if alive, eliciting whispers and unease.

"This is not just power, it's salvation, it's freedom that transcends life and death! What are you waiting for? Join us and let's welcome the new world together!"

I am far stronger than the Ancient One; you'd be better off begging me than her!"

The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents exchanged glances, seemingly interested. Kaecilius smiled at this, but his expression fell back in less than a second.

"Stop your arrogance! We will not pledge allegiance to your false god!"

Just then, a calm and firm voice pierced through the noise, shattering Casillas's illusion.

The voice came from Brock Rumlow, an elite agent in the team who had seemed to be slacking off the whole time but had finally couldn't help but jump out.

Brock Rumlow slowly walked out of the crowd, his steps firm and powerful.

"We're here to eliminate you and your false god. Your seductive rhetoric won't work on us!"

Upon hearing such blasphemy against the great Father, not only the believers and priests, but even Casillas, who always wore a smile, turned pale.

He stared at Brock Rumlow with a gloomy expression, but was surprised to find the anger in the other man's eyes, the anger directed at the great father.

Casillas frowned, a look of doubt and confusion flashing in his eyes.

He had assumed that Brock Rumlow's anger was directed at him, but he hadn't expected that the other man's anger seemed to be more focused on the "great father" he mentioned.

This unexpected turn of events has made the situation more delicate and complex.

"Hmph, it seems you don't understand what I believe in."

Casillas sneered, trying to mask his inner turmoil with contempt.

"How do you know that the great Father is not the true salvation? And how much of the true meaning of power can you truly understand?"

"You are lying! Only Yahweh is our sole salvation!"

Brock Rumlow was about to retort when he heard a familiar voice. It was Coulson.

Brock Rumlow looked at Coulson in surprise, only to see his colleague standing there unharmed, the large hole in his chest already healed.

"Well, another heretic."

Casillas laughed in exasperation. What era are we living in? How can anyone still worship that outdated old god in front of the true god?

Yahweh, this intangible god, should have been wrong long ago; he never existed!

Just as the atmosphere between the two sides was becoming increasingly tense, a figure flew over at lightning speed.

"Haha, your dad Tony Stark is back again! Guys, anyone missed me?"
