Chapter 4 Banner, do you really understand yourself?

Chapter 4 Banner, do you really understand yourself?

Thirst, hunger, and endless suffering.

Banner had no idea how much time had passed.

It is said that people can only truly understand themselves when they lose their freedom.

Now, Banner wholeheartedly agrees with this.

In the past, he hated that big green monster terribly.

It was this that turned my life into a complete mess.

Banner hated that big green monster; it destroyed everything he owned!

However, during the days that General Ross had captured him.

Banner discovered that things didn't seem to be like that.

That big green monster is actually himself; Banner is the Hulk, and the Hulk is Banner.

However, unable to bear the damage he caused, he blamed the "Hulk" in his imagination.

Now, Banner has lost that power, and he is now hanging up.

General Ross tormented himself, trying to provoke himself and bring the Hulk back into the world.

He refused to accept the reality that the Hulk had disappeared; otherwise, wouldn't everything he had done to capture him have been meaningless?

"How exactly do you want to turn into that giant green monster again?"

General Ross stared grimly at Bruce Banner, who was hanging upside down, suppressing the boiling rage within him.

"Hahaha, the Hulk is gone, he's dead, hahaha, you'll never have him again, hahaha."

"It's not dead, you just hid it!"

General Ross's angry roar interrupted Banner's laughter, his finger trembling as he stiffly raised it to point at Banner.

"Release it right now, I command you!"

General Ross absolutely refuses to accept the fact that the Hulk has disappeared, if the Hulk really has disappeared.

How can he use the Hulk's blood for research, and how can he create super soldiers?

Without a new generation of Captain America, how can he improve?

"Fine, fine, if you don't let it out, then stay here and wait to die!"

General Ross cursed angrily and left without looking back.

"Hahaha, am I going to die?"

Banner gave a bitter laugh. He was now in dire straits; he was truly going to die.

"But I don't want to die, I don't want to die!"

It was only at this point that Banner truly understood what he wanted.

He wanted to live, to live freely!

"An indomitable soul may look pathetic, but with some guidance, he's bound to have a bright future."

A deep, powerful voice reached Banner's ears, snapping him back to reality.

Before him stood a monster with red skin, rough fur, brass armor, wings on its back, and even horns on its head, brazenly appearing before Banner.

This appearance is exactly like the devil in the doctrine.

But why did the guards below remain motionless after such a monster appeared, as if they hadn't noticed it at all?

"Am I really going to hell?"

Banner gave another bitter laugh. Actually, that made sense. He had killed so many people and caused so much destruction. Shouldn't he go to hell after he died?

"You haven't gone to hell; the Blood God is calling you!"

"Blood God?"

A hint of doubt flashed in Banner's eyes. What kind of god was this? He had never heard of any blood god.

However, with so many deities in China, it must be some unknown deity.

"Yes, the great Blood God. He is the king of war, the embodiment of slaughter, the source of endless rage and violence!"

The voice of the "devil" echoed in Banner's ears, making him dizzy.

"In your name, we fight, we kill, we spread fear to every corner of the world. Your power grants us boundless courage and strength, making us invincible on the battlefield!"

The praises of "the devil" grew increasingly excited, as if countless souls were whispering in Banner's ear about the beauty of slaughter.

"And why has your god come to me?"

Banner took a deep breath and voiced his doubts.

I have never believed in this god, nor have I ever even heard of him, so why did He send His messenger to find me?

Well, let's assume for now that the "devil" before us is His messenger.

"The Blood God has observed you. The Great One believes you are a great warrior who never backs down from enemies but instead tears them apart head-on."

The Blood God is pleased with your actions, and therefore desires you. That is why I have appeared before you.

The "devil" slowly explained to Banner the reason for its presence. Although it was ugly, it behaved as elegantly as a gentleman.

This illusion gave Banner the feeling that he wasn't being hung up, but rather having a friendly dinner with a gentleman in a fine restaurant.

However, this gentleman was a devil!

Banner shook his head sharply: "I'm sorry, sir, I'm afraid I cannot grant your request."

Banner took a deep breath as he uttered his refusal in one breath, bracing himself for the impending storm. The consequences of refusing a "devil's" request were self-evident.

However, to his surprise, the "devil" did nothing to him, just shrugged and acted as if he didn't care.

Then it turned around and left without stopping.

As the "devil" walked further and further away, Banner felt a sense of panic and confusion.

How did this "devil" just leave like that?

Without even a moment's pause, are you really not going to give it another try?

Seeing that he was about to lose sight of it, Banner finally panicked.

Is this "devil" really leaving, leaving itself all alone here?

Stay in this dark and gloomy place? Stay here and wait to die?

To let yourself die of thirst and starvation little by little?

No, no, no!

I absolutely must not do that!

"Wait, wait! I can talk, I can talk about anything! I can also believe in the Blood God, I can become His possession!"

Banner felt a wave of relief wash over him as he spoke the words in one breath.

I finally said it; I finally said it myself. I sold my soul to the "devil"!

Is it really worth selling your soul just to live?

"Ha, my brother, I knew you'd agree."

The "devil" reappeared before Banner, still as elegant as ever.

However, Banner was not in the mood to appreciate it now.

"Give it to me, give me the devil's contract. I'm willing to sign it if you can save me."

Once you lower your head once, it becomes easy to lower it again.

At least, Banner has now learned to proactively ask to sign a devil's contract.

"No, no, no, my brother, I think you may have misunderstood something."

Meeting Banner's questioning gaze, "The Devil" continued.

"The great Blood God does not need contracts to bind His followers. As long as you open your heart, the Blood God's blessings will naturally protect you."

Did you feel it? That unparalleled power!
