Chapter 215 The Yellow King's Aid

Chapter 215 The Yellow King's Aid

Strange slowly approached the fallen Avengers team members, his face full of mockery and disdain.

He stopped and looked down at them, his voice filled with coldness and arrogance.

"Look at this, is this what you call courage and wisdom?" Strange sneered. "You think you can defeat me with this? How naive! Cthulhu's power is beyond the comprehension of you insignificant humans; you are destined to become his sacrifices."

He waved his staff lightly, and black energy waves rippled around the Avengers members, as if mocking their incompetence.

Strange's eyes were filled with the triumph and arrogance of a victor; he seemed to already see the magnificent scene of the Avengers being wiped out and Cthulhu awakening.

"Do you know? Cthulhu has been waiting for the moment of his awakening. He will bring endless darkness and chaos, and you are just a small episode before his awakening," Strange continued, his voice echoing through the empty city, full of threat and intimidation.

Natasha struggled to lift her head, her eyes filled with resentment and anger.

Jack stared intently in the direction Strange had disappeared, his brow furrowed as if sensing something. "That power... doesn't belong to this world. We must be more careful, lest we be drawn into an even deeper catastrophe."

But he quickly regained his composure and said, "You are indeed brave, but it is all in vain. Cthulhu's power is limitless, and you cannot resist it."

They knew that at this moment they had no way out; only by fighting with all their might could they have a glimmer of hope.

She glared at Strange, gritting her teeth, and said, "Don't even think about it! We will never let you and Cthulhu's plot succeed!"

Meanwhile, the Avengers and Jack seized the opportunity to launch a counterattack, their attacks raining down on Strange like a storm.

Taking this opportunity, Strange curled his lips into a sinister smile. He quickly scrambled to his feet, picked up the fallen staff, and, using the cover of this unknown power, his figure blurred before everyone's eyes, eventually transforming into a black shadow that swiftly disappeared at the other end of the abandoned city.

However, Strange just smiled coldly, as if he had seen through all of the Avengers' moves.

Matt brandished his blade, while Hawkeye brandished his flaming chains once more, preparing to fight Strange to the death with all their might.

As Strange looked at the tenacious figures of the Avengers, a sense of respect rose in his heart.

But he quickly regained his composure and said, "You are destined to be sacrifices for Cthulhu's awakening. However, you can also feel honored, because you are among the few humans who will be able to witness Cthulhu's awakening."

She shouted, "We cannot give in like this! For the future of humanity, we must fight to the very end!"

Matt and Hawkeye nodded in agreement; they knew that at this moment, they had no way out.

Their power is indeed insignificant compared to Cthulhu.

The Avengers exchanged glances, knowing that Strange was telling the truth.

Seeing this, Strange's face grew even more grim. He hadn't expected the King in Yellow's power to be so strong, able to temporarily suppress Cthulhu's dark energy. But he didn't back down; instead, he waved his staff even more frantically, attempting to use even more powerful dark energy to fight against the Avengers and Jack.

Jack, as the messenger of the King in Yellow, displayed power beyond human comprehension. With a mere wave of his hands, he unleashed powerful energy waves that clashed fiercely with Strange's dark forces. Each exchange was accompanied by deafening explosions and distortions of space and reality.

Matt and Hawkeye echoed his sentiments, deciding to join forces once again for a final assault on Strange.

"We can't let him succeed!" Natasha said firmly. "We must find a way to stop Cthulhu's awakening, while also being vigilant about the movements of that unknown force."

Natasha, Matt, and Hawkeye fought with all their might, but their defenses proved incredibly fragile against this powerful dark force.

Only by uniting as one can we face the even greater challenges that lie ahead.

"Strange, your ambition and madness have finally attracted a being that should not have been awakened." Jack's voice was deep and powerful, echoing in the empty city, a stark contrast to Strange's coldness.

Looking at the despair in the eyes of the Avengers, Strange felt a pang of pity.

Dark clouds filled the sky, and thunder roared, foreshadowing the intensity and brutality of the battle. The Avengers fought side-by-side with Jack, their teamwork and coordination reaching unprecedented heights. Natasha used her agility and intelligence to constantly find weaknesses in Strange's defenses; Matt wielded his blade, each attack carrying deadly force; and Hawkeye used his precise shooting to disrupt Strange's rhythm.

Empowered by the King in Yellow's power brought by Jack, the Avengers felt an unprecedented surge of energy coursing through their bodies. Their wounds healed at an astonishing pace, their weary bodies were revitalized, and their eyes shone with unprecedented determination and hope.

Strange sneered, clearly not taking Jack's appearance seriously: "The messenger of the King in Yellow? Hmph, even He cannot stop Cthulhu's awakening. All of you will become witnesses to this great event."

However, Strange simply smiled.

Finally, after a fierce exchange, Strange was forced back several steps by the combined efforts of the group. His face was pale, clearly indicating that he had exhausted a great deal of his strength.

Despite his valiant resistance, Strange gradually found himself overwhelmed by the combined attacks of the group. Finally, in a fierce assault, he was knocked to the ground, his staff rolling to the side.

The Avengers were filled with resentment and despair. They knew that at this moment, they had utterly failed.

Thus, an unprecedented battle unfolded in the abandoned city, with Strange combining his powers with those of Cthulhu, and the Avengers team uniting with the messengers of the King in Yellow.

Strange looked at the determined eyes of the Avengers members and couldn't help but feel a little surprised.

They lay on the ground, unable to move, and could only watch helplessly as Strange approached step by step.

Strange stopped and looked down at the Avengers, his voice filled with the smugness and arrogance of a victor: "Look at this, this is what you call courage and wisdom. Before the power of Cthulhu, you are nothing but insignificant ants."

Matt and Hawkeye nodded in agreement. Although they were battered and bruised, Jack's arrival seemed to have rekindled their fighting spirit.

They could neither stop Cthulhu's awakening nor protect humanity's future.

But he quickly reverted to his cold and sarcastic tone, saying, "Hmph, what tenacious fellows. However, that doesn't change your fate of defeat."

The Avengers exchanged glances, their eyes gleaming with determination and resolve. They knew that while they had temporarily repelled Strange, the real battle was far from over. Cthulhu's awakening remained an unresolved threat, and the emergence of that unknown force had further complicated the situation.

Matt and Hawkeye also struggled to their feet. Although they were seriously injured, their eyes still shone with determination.

With a gentle wave of his staff, black energy surged forth once more, engulfing the Avengers team members like a giant wave.

Although Strange has been temporarily repelled, the awakening of Cthulhu remains a Damocles' sword hanging over their heads, threatening to bring devastating disaster at any moment.

The Avengers exchanged glances, their eyes gleaming with renewed resolve. Natasha struggled to sit up, her voice firm: "Jack, we believe in you. As long as we're united, there's no difficulty we can't overcome."

After Strange was completely knocked to the ground, dust and debris swirled around him, and for the first time, a hint of fear and resentment flickered in his eyes. The Avengers and Jack gave him no chance to catch his breath; they pressed forward, ready to end this battle that threatened humanity's future.

However, just as they were about to deliver the final blow to Strange, a deeper, more ancient tremor emanated from the earth. This power belonged neither to the Avengers nor to the Yellow King's power brought by Jack; it seemed to come from another dimension, carrying an indescribable terror and majesty.

He waved his staff, and a black energy wave surged forth once more, completely knocking down the Avengers team members.

After saying that, Strange waved his staff, and black energy waves rippled out again, enveloping the Avengers team members.

"He's escaped!" Natasha exclaimed alertly, her eyes filled with both regret and vigilance.

Before Strange had even finished speaking, the Avengers members mustered their courage once more, preparing for their final counterattack.

They were knocked down by the black energy waves time and time again, but they struggled to get up again and again, yet they were never able to cause any real damage to Strange.

In this battle, the Avengers and Jack fought with all their might. They knew this was their only chance to stop Cthulhu's awakening. Therefore, they fearlessly faced Strange's frenzied attacks, using their courage and wisdom to defuse the crisis time and time again.

Natasha endured the pain, her eyes shining with an indomitable spirit.

After Strange temporarily left, the Avengers quickly gathered with Jack to discuss their next move.

Jack crouched down, scrutinizing them one by one with his seemingly penetrating gaze, then said softly, "I've brought a portion of the Yellow King's power, but not to aid and abet evil. Our goal is the same—to stop the catastrophe brought by Cthulhu. But we must proceed with caution, lest we awaken an even more terrifying being."

Matt and Hawkeye gritted their teeth; despite their serious injuries, their resolve only grew stronger.

Seeing this, Strange's face darkened further. He waved his staff, preparing to launch another attack, but Jack quickly raised a hand, and a soft yet powerful light emanated from his palm, clashing with Strange's black energy wave. The two intertwined in the air, forming a bizarre and magnificent scene.

They knew that at this moment, they could no longer escape. They could only silently await Cthulhu's awakening and the darkness and chaos that would follow.

Jack didn't respond immediately, but slowly walked towards the Avengers. His robes brushed the ground, leaving behind strange runes. Natasha, Matt, and Hawkeye watched him in surprise, their hearts filled with both hope and doubt—could this former comrade still be their ally?

Just as the Avengers were sinking into despair, preparing to face their inevitable fate, a strange wind blew by, bringing whispers and tremors that did not belong to this world. The sky suddenly darkened, as if some ancient and powerful force was approaching.

"Strange, you are on the wrong path. The awakening of Cthulhu will bring irreparable disaster, and the power of the King in Yellow will be the key to stopping it all." Jack's voice was exceptionally clear amidst the collision of energy waves, and his eyes revealed an unwavering determination.

They knew this was their only chance.

Natasha shouted again, "We can't give up like this! We must find Cthulhu's weakness; only then can we defeat him!"

Strange noticed the change, his brow furrowing, his staff trembling slightly as if warning him of an unknown threat approaching. He turned, his gaze piercing through the black energy waves, and saw a figure clad in a yellow robe and wearing a strange crown slowly stepping onto the battlefield, each step accompanied by the distortion of space and fluctuations in reality.

That was Jack, a former partner of Matt and Hawkeye, but now he was the messenger of the King in Yellow, arriving with a power beyond human comprehension. His eyes were like abysses, gleaming with ancient wisdom and indescribable light, and a mysterious smile played on his lips.

Even so, they cannot give up.

Matt and Hawkeye immediately realized the gravity of the situation. They knew that although Strange had temporarily retreated, he would not give up easily. The appearance of that unknown force further complicated the future of the battle.

"We must find a way to stop Cthulhu's awakening as soon as possible," Natasha said anxiously. "The emergence of that unknown force has made the situation even more complicated. We don't know if it will help us or become another threat."

Matt gripped his staff tightly, his eyes resolute: "No matter what, we cannot give up. We must continue searching for clues and find Cthulhu's weakness."

Hawkeye added, "Furthermore, we must be wary of Strange's movements. He certainly won't let this go and will definitely come back again."

Jack nodded, his eyes revealing profound wisdom: "I agree with your point of view, but we must proceed with caution. Since that unknown force does not belong to this world, it may bring unpredictable consequences. We must deal with it carefully to avoid awakening an even more terrifying existence."
