Chapter 21 The Magic Conch

The sun still shines on the beaches of Marshall Islands.

"I feel like such an idiot!"

Walking on the beach, Tony was a little irritated, carrying a detector, while Natasha, who was beside him, looked slightly embarrassed.

People around them stared at the couple with strange looks. The woman was very beautiful, but the man seemed to have some mental issues, and he looked very familiar.

Oh right, this looks like the billionaire Tony Stark.

One of the tabloid reporters was particularly impressed; he had already come up with tomorrow's headline story.

The title is: "Shocking! Billionaire Tony Stark suffers mental breakdown and goes treasure hunting on the beach, allegedly because he was mocked for his genitals by a big star."

If it weren't for several bodyguards in black suits coming over and smiling as they tried to persuade him, he would have actually done it.

Tony Stark seemed oblivious to the commotion around him. He brandished the metal detector in his hand, sometimes bending down to examine the faint signal emitted by the detector, and sometimes looking up at the vast ocean.

If you ask Tony what he's feeling right now, the only answer is regret, deep, deep regret.

This secretary tricked herself!

I thought I could have a big fight with her on the beach, but as soon as I got here, she threw me a metal detector.

They said they were looking for treasure, and for some reason, I inexplicably agreed.

Now he's become a complete idiot!

Tony Stark's feelings were as complex as the metal detector in his hand that kept beeping, a mixture of annoyance at having fallen for the trap so easily, and a hint of resentment and curiosity.

He glanced at Natasha beside him, who was pretending to be seriously searching for "treasure," and thought to himself, "This woman is getting better and better at playing games."

However, although it made him, a genius, look foolish, he had to admit that such an experience was a rare kind of fun for him.

Since he's going to die soon anyway, what is there left for him to hold onto?

"Alright, since we're here, let's have some fun."

Tony made up his mind and deliberately increased the range of motion, bending over, standing up, and bending over again, as if he were really looking for some rare treasure.

Seeing this, Natasha felt a little better. She had no interest in this treasure hunt; it was all just the director's task.

But seeing how hard Tony, who had been tricked into coming, was having fun, how could she, the one who "invited" others over, not take it seriously?

The two of them sang in harmony, and unknowingly created a unique tacit understanding.

Just then, the metal detector suddenly emitted a strong signal. Tony's eyes lit up, and he quickly signaled Natasha to be quiet.

He carefully dug into the sand, and his heart pounded faster as he went deeper.

Finally, a slightly worn, conch-shaped object appeared before his eyes.

Tony picked it up and examined it closely. He found that the thing was spiral-shaped, had a light purple hue, and contained a pull rope inside.

"Wow, the magic conch shell really does exist!"

Natasha feigned surprise and looked at Tony with eyes full of adoration.

Although it was an act, the superb acting skills made Tony feel quite proud.

He coughed lightly and asked in a low voice, "Natalie, do you know what this is?"

"This must be the magic conch shell. I heard about it when I was a child. It's in the beach on Marshall Island, waiting for its destined owner to get it."

It's said that the magic conch shell can answer any question you have. I suddenly remembered this rumor, but I don't have much money on me, so I thought I'd invite you to come and take a look.

Natasha was overjoyed and went forward to touch and look at the object, a hint of admiration flashing in her eyes from time to time.

I don't know how other men would react, but Tony's tail was practically wagging in the air.

He said with no small amount of pride, "So, I'm the chosen one then. How do I use this... um, magic conch shell?"

"It's very simple. You just need to ask a question first, and then pull that rope."

Natasha smiled, her eyes sparkling with anticipation and curiosity, as if she herself were also looking forward to the miracle that the magic conch shell would bring.

But how does this suggestion make me look like a fool?

"Stark, you're really amazing. I've never seen a man as outstanding as you. Give us a performance!"

Natasha walked over, gently tugged at Tony's sleeve, and coaxed him in a sweet, coquettish tone.

Tony was taken aback by Natasha's sudden display of affection, and then a smile involuntarily crept onto his lips.

Even with years of experience in womanizing, Tony couldn't resist being charmed by such a beautiful woman.

"Alright, since you put it that way, I'll reluctantly give you a performance."

Tony shook his head, feigning helplessness, but a mischievous glint shone in his eyes.

He raised the magic conch shell in his hand, cleared his throat, and said in an exaggerated yet solemn tone, "Great magic conch shell, what should I do now?"

Then pull the rope.

"You should now move one step to the left or right."

As soon as Tony finished speaking, a mechanical female voice answered him.

"What? Say that again?"

Tony blinked again, somewhat confused, and pulled the cord again.

"You should now move one step to the left or right."

???

"Say it again?"

"You should now move one step to the left or right."

Okay, Tony is now certain that this magic conch shell is indeed a recording device.

The sound you just heard was the recording that was played earlier.

Just as Tony was about to check where the recording device was inside the conch shell, he suddenly felt a warm mass above his head.

Reaching out to touch it, I immediately understood what was on my head: a lump of natural debris, the residue left over after the cycle of reincarnation.

Tony's face turned ashen instantly. Natasha couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle. Even the bodyguards were trying not to laugh, especially Happy, whose thigh was swollen from being pinched.

"Stark, you should listen to the Magic Conch Shell's advice, pfft!"

Tony's face turned ashen instantly. He glared at the culprit seagull, but could only accept his bad luck.

"Alright, it seems I really should listen to the Magic Conch's opinion. So, what are your thoughts this time?"

Tony chuckled self-deprecatingly and pulled the rope again.

"If you don't want to keep embarrassing yourself, go wash your hair and stop making a fool of yourself."

Natasha didn't know how Tony felt, but one thing she was sure of was that Tony would probably have to carry the plane and flee the island overnight!
