Chapter 207 A Chaotic Land

As the Brotherhood of Cain's influence grew, their extreme and violent actions began to leave deep scars on the land.

These actions not only violated the law but also went against the bottom line of humanity, causing unprecedented harm to this land and its people.

Innocent civilians were dragged into senseless violence; their homes were burned down, their loved ones were murdered, and their lives were plunged into chaos and despair.

The once bustling streets are now ruins, and the once harmonious society is now filled with fear and unease.

Moraton seemed indifferent to these consequences; his heart was filled only with hatred for the Church's rule and a desire to overthrow it.

He firmly believed that only through extreme means could the public's resistance to the church be fully awakened, and that they could be motivated to stand up and fight for truth and freedom.

As the Brotherhood of Cain's influence grew, their extreme and violent actions left indelible scars on the land.

These actions not only violated the law but also went against the bottom line of humanity, causing unprecedented harm to this land and its people, and their far-reaching impact continues to unfold to this day.

In this once peaceful and tranquil land, innocent civilians became victims of violence.

Their homes were ruthlessly burned down, leaving only scorched earth and ruins.

The houses that were once filled with laughter are now ruins. People have lost their means of survival, and their lives have fallen into chaos and despair.

Frequent violent incidents have led to a sharp decline in public safety. People live in fear, worried that they or their families will become the next victims.

The once bustling streets are now empty and deserted, with shops closed and few pedestrians.

After nightfall, all was silent, as if the entire city was shrouded in fear.

The violence also severely disrupted social order.

The once harmonious social relations became tense and fragile, and trust and friendship between people were torn apart. Neighbors no longer helped each other, but instead suspected and distrusted one another.

This atmosphere exacerbated social division and instability, making the restoration of normal social order extremely difficult.

Furthermore, the violence perpetrated by the Brotherhood of Cain has had a profound impact on the younger generation in the region.

They witnessed violence and bloodshed, which deeply impacted their minds.

Some young people have even begun to imitate the violent behavior of the Brotherhood of Cain, viewing violence as a way to solve problems.

This distorted value system not only harms their physical and mental health, but also poses a potential threat to the future of society.

Led by Moratton's extremist ideology, the Cain Brotherhood was no longer content with small-scale acts of violence; they began planning larger-scale attacks, targeting key church strongholds and government institutions. Moratton believed that only by occupying territory and establishing their own bases could they more effectively confront the church and achieve their ideals.

One night, the Cain Brotherhood amassed a large force and launched a surprise attack on a key church city. Using the cover of darkness, they swiftly seized several key locations, including the city hall, police station, and church. Thanks to meticulous planning and intelligence gathering, their operation was exceptionally fast and efficient, giving the church and government virtually no time to react.

In this attack, the Brotherhood of Cain displayed exceptional combat skills and ruthless tactics. They not only employed advanced weaponry but also utilized psychological warfare, spreading fear and rumors to demoralize the enemy. Many innocent civilians were injured or killed in the chaos, and the city's order collapsed instantly.

After occupying the city, the Cain Brotherhood declared the establishment of their own government and a complete break with the church and the government. They began to implement a series of extreme policies in the city, including the forced imposition of their own belief system, the brutal suppression of opponents, and the establishment of a tight surveillance system to ensure their rule.

As time went on, the Brotherhood of Cain gradually established itself in the cities it occupied and began to expand into the surrounding areas. They used violence to eliminate dissidents and intimidation and bribery to win over allies, gradually forming a warlord force that controlled a region.

As the leader of Cain's Brotherhood, Moradon began to enjoy the thrill of power.

He sat in his palace, watching his subordinates busily governing the land, and felt a deep sense of satisfaction.

Under Moraton's leadership, the cities occupied by the Brotherhood of Cain gradually transformed into a haven for murderers and criminals.

Here, the constraints of the law vanish, the bottom line of morality is utterly trampled, and violence and evil become the new rules.

The city streets are no longer places where people can walk safely, but have become a playground for criminals.

Assassinations, robberies, rapes and other heinous incidents occur frequently, and innocent citizens become their prey.

At night, this place becomes a breeding ground for crime, where not only screams of fear echo from the darkness, but also the ruthless trampling of the bottom line of humanity.

To consolidate their rule, the Brotherhood of Cain not only condoned but even encouraged criminal activity. They used their power to build a vast criminal network that incorporated various illegal activities.

In this network, murder becomes a means of resolving disputes, criminals find refuge here, and justice and fairness are regarded as nonsense.

Moraton, the mastermind behind all this, revels in the thrill of power while turning a blind eye to the suffering of the citizens.

His palace became a den of evil, a gathering place for all sorts of criminals and corrupt officials who conspired to devise an even more insidious plan to plunge the land into utter ruin.

Moradon's dark forces did not stop in the cities he occupied, but spread rapidly outwards like a plague, eroding every inch of the surrounding land.

Through his meticulous planning and ruthless methods, the Brotherhood of Cain gradually expanded its influence, becoming a terrifying organization feared by all.

They first launched a fierce offensive against neighboring towns and villages, and using advanced weapons and tactics, they quickly occupied these areas and established their own ruling institutions.

In these places, they also implement a series of extreme policies, including forcibly imposing their own belief system, brutally suppressing opponents, and establishing a tight surveillance system to ensure their rule.

As the Brotherhood of Cain's influence continued to expand, they began to collude with other criminal organizations and warlord forces to plan larger-scale criminal activities.

They used their power and resources to build a vast criminal network covering multiple areas such as smuggling, drug trafficking, and human trafficking.

Within this network, they collude with each other, sharing the spoils of their crimes.

Moraton, the mastermind behind all this, has reached the extreme in his lust for power and his contempt for justice.

He sat in his palace, watching his subordinates busily governing the land, and felt a deep sense of satisfaction.

However, he turned a blind eye to the suffering of the citizens and even regarded their pain as a stepping stone to his power.

Under his leadership, the area occupied by the Brotherhood of Cain gradually turned into a living hell.

The people here live in fear and despair, their lives and property constantly threatened.

The city streets are no longer places where people can walk safely, but have become a playground for criminals.

Assassinations, robberies, rapes and other heinous incidents occur frequently, and innocent citizens become their prey.

Deep within Moradon's dark and opulent palace, Aidan, a former comrade-in-arms, quietly stepped into this land shrouded in sin. Aidan had been Moradon's brother-in-arms, weathering countless storms together, fighting side-by-side to overthrow oppression and pursue freedom. However, the Moradon before him was no longer the passionate, righteous warrior he once was, but a tyrant corrupted by power, who treated life as worthless.

Aidan's eyes were filled with incomprehension and disappointment as he gazed at Moradon, who sat on his throne, surrounded by luxury and corruption. A complex mix of emotions surged within him. "Moradon, do you remember our oath? For freedom, for justice, we would pay any price. But now, look at this land, look at these innocent people—they are all paying the price for your ambition and greed!" Aidan's voice trembled, each word like a hammer blow striking Moradon's heart.

Moradon's face instantly darkened. He glared angrily at Aidan, as if he wanted to burn the man to ashes. "Aidan, how dare you question me? Who do you think you are? You're nothing but a defeated deserter, a pathetic wretch forgotten by time!" Moradon's voice was as cold as ice, its biting chill making the air in the palace seem to freeze.

"No, Moradon, you're wrong!" Aidan straightened his back, his gaze resolute. "I've never forgotten our original aspirations, nor have I ever given up the pursuit of justice. But I see it—you've changed. You've been blinded by power, your heart has been swallowed by darkness. The people of this land, they should be free, they should be happy, but now they live in fear and despair. All of this is because of you!"

Enraged, Moraton abruptly stood up, slamming his scepter onto the ground with a deafening crash. "Shut up! You traitor, what right do you have to judge me? Everything I've done is for our ideals, for building a truly free and equal society. And you, you're nothing but a coward escaping reality!"

Aidan shook his head, his eyes filled with sorrow.

"Moratun, you are wrong. True freedom and equality are not built on violence and fear. Look around you, look at your people. Are they truly happy? Do you really believe your rule can bring lasting peace?"

Moradon's face grew even more ferocious as he brandished his scepter as if to dispel Aidan's words.

"Enough! You traitor, I will never let you ruin my plans. Guards, seize him!"

At Moradon's command, a group of fully armed soldiers quickly surrounded Aidan. However, Aidan remained fearless, his spine straight, facing his impending fate. "Moradon, listen to me," he declared, "whatever the outcome, I will stand firm in my beliefs. And you, you will be judged by history!"

Under Moradon's cold-blooded command, fully armed soldiers swiftly and brutally surrounded Aidan. Their eyes held no pity, only absolute obedience to Moradon's orders. Facing these former comrades, Aidan was filled with endless sorrow and despair, yet he still stood tall, his gaze resolute and fearless.

Moradon stood on his high throne, coldly observing everything, his eyes flashing with cruelty and madness. He seemed to have completely become a slave to power, filled with hatred and murderous intent towards any voice that opposed him.

"You traitor! You betrayed me! You betrayed our ideals!" Moradon's voice echoed through the palace, every word filled with rage and despair. "I will not let you leave here alive! I will make you pay for your betrayal!"

As Moradon finished speaking, the soldiers began to advance, their weapons gleaming coldly, as if ready to pierce Aidan's body at any moment. However, Aidan showed no sign of retreating. He took a deep breath and shouted, "Moradon, listen to me! I have never betrayed our ideals, but I have seen your mistakes, seen your ambition and greed pushing this land into the abyss! I grieve for you, I am ashamed of you!"

Moradon's face contorted even more savagely, brandishing his scepter as if to utterly dispel Aidan's words. "Shut up! You damned traitor! Men, kill him!"

Upon hearing this, the soldiers immediately quickened their pace, weapons raised high, ready to deliver their final judgment on Aidan. Aidan closed his eyes, silently praying, "May my sacrifice awaken more people, may they see the truth, and may this land regain freedom and peace."

However, when Aidan opened his eyes again, he was greeted by a cold, sharp blade. The soldiers mercilessly pinned him to the ground, and the blade slashed a deep gash in his chest, blood gushing out instantly. Aidan's body trembled violently, but his eyes remained filled with unwavering determination and fearlessness.

Moradon watched all this coldly, his face expressionless, as if Aidan's death were a trivial matter to him. He waved his hand, signaling the soldiers to drag Aidan's body away, and then sat back on his throne.

For this country, however, darkness will linger for a much longer period.
