Chapter 310 The Girl with the Big Sword
With a tap of the fingertip, one is instantly transported to the wonderful world of Chapter 310, "The Greatsword Girl".
When Little John was brought by Mamadu to explore the Church of Earth and Life today, he foresaw that a battle might occur. At the time, he thought it would be a battle with a group of druids. However, Mamadu said that if a battle occurred, he would take Little John to use ley lines to evade it, which is basically to burrow into the ground.
However, things are progressing in a way that is completely beyond John's expectations. The Druids of the Church of Life have not caught up with us. Instead, the Holy Crusaders of the Church of War have drawn their swords and charged forward.
And this girl, who is only 1.5 meters tall, actually has the audacity to call herself the commander-in-chief of the Crusader Army. What a joke...
"Clang!" A piercing metallic clang rang out, and Little John had to use his longsword to defend against the opponent's downward slash. "What a joke, how can the strength be so great?"
He struggled to stay upright, his arms trembling slightly. The girl opposite him was just as strong as the Red-Eyed from his tribe. He knew that his boss had said that the Red-Eyed had experienced many battles and his combat power was far superior to that of an ordinary adventurer.
"Not bad, you actually withstood my attack." Diana said with a hint of surprise as she pressed down on her twin swords. "It seems you're not your average thieves. I need to get serious."
"Are you still taking this seriously?" Little John frowned, and with a sudden burst of strength, he pushed away the other's twin swords. Immediately afterward, a muffled thud came from above his head as a longsword struck a floating rock.
"A third longsword?" Little John was taken aback for a moment, then immediately stepped back, assuming a fighting stance.
"A magician?" Diana stood casually in place, carrying two longswords. Then, the longsword that had struck the stone flew back behind her with a "whoosh" and floated there. "Interesting. Time for a good fight."
"There's something fishy about this woman," John said to Mamadou behind him, while keeping an eye on her hands. "That floating sword might be a magical item. We need to be careful of her sneak attacks later."
When he practiced sword techniques with those skeleton warriors, they told Little John that if he encountered an opponent who used two swords, he should be very careful. It is very difficult for ordinary people to learn to wield two swords. Compared to wielding a long sword, it takes a lot of time to train the coordination of both hands. At the same time, if someone can use two swords to slash, then that person will be significantly stronger than an ordinary person. Moreover, two swords are not like two swords of different lengths. Each sword can be used for both defense and offense, and the enemy's offensive and defensive transitions will be very fast and difficult to defend against.
"But this opponent isn't exactly a dual-swordswoman; she's more like a triple-swordswoman." Little John slowly turned to the side, ensuring he was facing the enemy with his sword held to the side, maximizing his defensive reach.
Seeing that Little John was cautiously taking a defensive stance and not risking an attack, Diana's eyes showed a hint of surprise, "It seems you know a bit about swordsmanship, and you're better than those half-baked adventurers."
"I'll have some fun today." Before she finished speaking, she charged forward again, her twin swords thrusting forward like venomous snakes emerging from their holes, the sound of the wind cutting through the air sending chills down one's spine.
Seeing the girl thrust with two swords, John quickly parried with his own sword, but her speed was even faster than before, forcing him to defend with all his might.
"Clang!" The swords were deflected, but John still retreated hastily. The floating longsword was about to fall down on him with a "whoosh." If Mamadou hadn't pulled him away from behind, it would probably have already pierced his shoulder.
"What bizarre swordplay!" Little John's eyelids twitched. All three swords could be used for defense or attack simultaneously; he had never seen such a fighting style before.
With a series of loud "bangs," Diana swung her twin swords, quickly shattering several rocks that were attacking her. She also nimbly leaped sideways to dodge Mamadou's ground spike attack.
"An earth elemental magician?" She tilted her head, looking at Mamadou, who had a book tucked under his arm and was manipulating three floating stones with his other hand. "Why would a magician steal from the church?"
"It wasn't stealing, it was just taking." Mamadou kept his head down as much as possible, not letting the other person see his true face. "How can you call it stealing when it comes to matters of the magical world?"
Diana curled her lips, completely ignoring what the other person said, and attacked again with her sword. This time, she did not choose to stab, but tried her best to get closer to Little John, seemingly wanting to entangle him in a fight.
But as soon as she took two steps, a two-meter-high earthen wall suddenly rose up from the ground in front of her, separating her from Mamadou.
But this was no challenge for the 1.5-meter-tall Diana. She simply bent her knees and jumped, leaping onto the wall of the alley next to her. Then, using the wall as a springboard, she jumped over the earthen wall after several bounces. "Don't even think about running away."
After saying that, Diana pounced like a hawk, shooting straight down from the air at John and his companion, who had already run a few steps.
"Clang!" The sound of metal clashing rang out again. Little John was somewhat flustered as he defended against Diana's attack, while Mamadou next to him was in an even more embarrassing situation, as the two stacked "earth shields" in front of him had been pierced by the floating longsword.
"This is too troublesome." Little John kept defending against Diana's attacks. The girl's twin swords moved at lightning speed. If it weren't for his experience fighting those skeleton warriors and trolls, he would probably have been riddled with holes by now.
"Your swordsmanship is strange?" Diana asked with a hint of surprise as she launched her attack. "It's not as crude as those adventurers', nor as flashy as those nobles'. It has some of the characteristics of military tactics."
With a "bang," a ground spike that protruded from the ground separated the two, and Mamadou, who had cast the ground spike spell, was forced to get entangled with the floating longsword once again.
"Hear me, President, things aren't what you think. We're not bad people." Little John stared intently at the twin-sword girl in front of him. He was a little afraid that the fighting would attract the church's druids or the Torch City's security team. Although those guys didn't care much now, they would still intervene if they saw a street brawl.
Moreover, he and Mamadou have indeed "bombed" the Sacred Oak Cathedral. If they are caught, the girl from the Church of the God of War will be fine, but he and Mamadou will be going to jail.
"A classic scene," Diana changed her sword stance. After this fight, she was breathing normally and seemed unaffected. "Every criminal claims he's not a bad person."
Seeing that he couldn't reason with the other party, John decided not to waste any more words; he still had some trump cards up his sleeve.
Thinking of this, instead of retreating, he advanced and charged directly at Diana with his sword. This unusual action made the girl's face light up with joy. "This is finally getting interesting."
As their swords clashed, John frowned and stared at Diana. At the same time, a flash of red light appeared in his eyes, which made the sword-wielding girl momentarily dazed.
Unfortunately, it was all over in a flash, less than a second, when Diana suddenly swung her longsword and smashed Little John away.
"You have strange abilities," Diana frowned. "What was that just now, the Eye of Fear or something?"
"Are you someone who has made a pact with the demon?" Her previous excited expression vanished, replaced by an extremely serious one. "It seems I need to teach you a lesson and find out more about your relationship with your demon master."
With a loud "bang," the two men were drawn to the sound. Near the wall, Mamadou braced one hand against the stone wall of the alley, while at the same time, a giant hand suddenly emerged from the stone wall and swatted the floating longsword away.
"This thing is pretty tough to deal with." Mamadou exhaled, unaware that the battle had knocked his hood askew, revealing half of his orc face.
"An orc?" Diana exclaimed in surprise again. "An orc mage at that?"
Then she immediately realized, "An evil swordsman who made a pact with a demon, and an orc mage who shouldn't be in this plane—you two actually teamed up to harass the Sacred Oak Cathedral! What are you plotting?"
"What kind of conspiracy could we possibly have? We're fucking good guys!" Mamadou shouted. "And what do you mean by 'orcs who shouldn't be here'? I'm not a magician, I'm going to be the King of Thieves."
With that, he waved his hand, and the giant stone hand on the stone wall slammed directly at Diana, making a "whoosh" sound as it broke through the air.
The attack was fierce. The giant hand slammed into the ground, shattering it. The giant hand itself also broke apart, sending stones of varying sizes flying everywhere. They crashed against the walls with a loud "crashing" sound, and several sections of the walls were smashed into large craters.
But Mamadou did not stop. He placed his hands on the wall again and chanted incantations in the Orc language. The wall crackled and creaked as a giant stone hand slowly took shape once more.
"Looks like you're planning to fight to the death." Diana frowned as she looked at the two people in front of her. "We can't play around anymore, or you two might drag ordinary civilians down with you, and that would be a real headache."
She bit her lip and whispered, "Uncle, please."
After saying that, he grasped the two longswords together, and then the floating longsword flew back with a "whoosh." With a "swish," the three longswords actually combined together, and after a flash of white light, they transformed into a giant sword that was two meters long.
"This?" Little John's eyes widened as he watched the changes in the three longswords before him. "They can be used like this?"
But the girl didn't give Little John much time to marvel. She dragged the greatsword, leaped over in a few steps, pushed off the ground with both feet, twisted her waist, and swung the greatsword horizontally.
With a loud "bang," the giant stone hand was smashed in two by the greatsword. Stone chips flew everywhere, raising a cloud of dust. The fragments of stone scattered, but they could not stop Diana's next move. Using the momentum of the sweeping motion, she twisted her ankle and swung the greatsword in a spinning slash, quickly severing the remaining part of the giant hand.

Flying stones and dust scattered in all directions. Just as Diana was about to take her next step, the flying stones seemed to come alive, all of them floating up and shooting towards the girl.
"Clang clang clang," Diana swung her greatsword to deflect the falling rocks, then smashed open a mud wall in front of her with a powerful blow. But just as she was about to strike the other side with her greatsword, the empty alleyway in front of her stunned her.
"They ran away?" She frowned. "They used a giant hand to create smoke, used rubble to block my attacks, and then used an earthen wall to obscure my vision. These two guys are really evil; they use all sorts of underhanded tricks."
She forcefully planted the two-meter-long greatsword into the ground, then scanned the alley. "They ran really fast."
With a "whoosh," the giant sword flashed white light and then split into three longswords. The difference this time was that all three longswords floated in the air.
"Hmm? What did you say, uncle?" Diana walked to the longsword, leaning close to the floating sword as if listening to the three swords. "That swordsman is acting strangely?"
"Is there a problem?" She scratched her cheek. "Second Uncle, do you think he might be related to Fourth Uncle?"
"But they've already escaped," Diana shrugged. "Finding those two again won't be that easy."
"What? You want me to figure something out?" She sighed with some regret. "Okay, okay, I understand. I'll try to find your fourth uncle."
"I should have just kept quiet from the start," Diana said, kicking away a pebble at her feet.
"Stop, don't say that, uncle. What do you mean by 'I'm not me if I don't take action'?"
As she spoke, Diana beckoned, and the three floating longswords miraculously returned to their sheaths like birds returning to their nests.
"I will, but we need to leave quickly, otherwise it will be troublesome if we encounter the security team."
As she spoke, she looked back at the alley entrance, then pushed off with her feet and leaped onto the rooftops beside the alley, disappearing as quickly as a thief.
Nearly a minute later, with a loud crash, a section of the wall collapsed to the ground, revealing Mamadou and his companion hiding inside.
"I say, since you can use this kind of magic, why didn't you use it in the first place?" Little John asked, patting the dust off his clothes, somewhat annoyed.
"How was I supposed to know this president would be so difficult to deal with?" Mamadou said, shrugging. "Besides, after using so many spells in a row, my mental strength has been greatly affected."
"So we fought a battle with a Crusader commander over a book called 'How to Attract Sows to Mating,' and almost got killed?" Little John looked at his clothes, which had been torn by Diana's sword. He had narrowly avoided the sword's edge several times during Diana's attack.
"I think I should return this tattered book," Mamadou said with some regret. He took the book from under his arm and wiped the dust off it. "Wait, look at this book, the name on it has changed."
"The name has changed?" Little John leaned over to take a look.
"Mushroom Spores and Variations of Life Forms?"
