Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins

Chapter 232 Even Surrender Requires Guidance

Ciel always said that he understood goblins better than anyone else. Now, facing 600 goblins from the Feathered Serpent Kingdom, he was extremely envious, but if he wanted to make these guys submit, the only way might be through killing them.

But this was not his intention. His conversation with Greenskin made him realize that even the goblins of the Feathered Serpent Kingdom lived in dire straits. They ate the same things and wore the same clothes. The only difference was their living environment and the fact that they had a larger hunting range.

Unfortunately, with so many goblins gathered together, fighting for prey and gathering areas became commonplace. Each burrow wanted to get a bigger piece of the pie, so fights between burrows, often triggered by a single frog or rat, frequently broke out.

Qingpi also mentioned that there were more than 20 goblins in a cave. Some of them did not want to be driven away. Even though they might not be chosen by the lottery, they would still take the initiative to start conflicts with other caves, just to see if one or two of their goblins would die.

Charles initially wanted to tell the silent men below that following him meant they would have enough to eat and wear, and wouldn't have to worry about death constantly. However, when he stood on the platform, he knew these men wouldn't believe him easily.

People don't believe things they haven't seen, and goblins are no exception. It's like the saying, "The emperor must be tilling the land with a golden hoe every day," while "These goblins can only eat one more mouse than us every day at most."

However, goblins are also very easily influenced by others. Once one of them takes the lead in doing something that doesn't strongly oppose them, others will quickly follow suit until all the goblins have made their choice.

Just like when Sharl led several men to recruit those goblins before, given the situation at the time, if those guys scattered and fled, Sharl obviously wouldn't be able to catch them all. But as those "activists" took the initiative to come up and touch his ankle, others also began to line up and wait to salute.

"So the one preventing these goblins from making a choice right now must be the leader inside." Charles immediately judged the situation at the time. The fact that the cavemen did not surrender voluntarily was a signal that they had made their choice, which also caused the other goblins to remain silent.

When Baldy revealed that he was the other side's commander, Charles really wanted to award him the "Holy Cross of the Iron Cross, First Class," if he had one.

"He doesn't seem to have anything special about him, and he has a bit of arrogant arrogance, but he doesn't seem very brave. Most importantly, he's stupid," Charles quickly assessed the bald man's expression and actions after observing him several times. "Most importantly, he has no military command ability. It seems like he single-handedly delivered 600 goblins to his doorstep."

"But it wouldn't be accurate to say he's completely incompetent. After all, he led 800 goblins through the forest for so long and so far without a single one falling behind or running away," Sharl exclaimed with a "tsk tsk." "He's quite a talent."

Of course, this may be related to the [mass intelligence reduction curse] he used before. After all, it's somewhat ridiculous that 800 goblins were surrounded by his own subordinates like headless flies.

" "This guy is alright; he really does have magic." Charles was very satisfied with the demon lord.

So now he has made this important decision—to put all these hole heads back, but also to put the hole heads back in.

…………

"Let us go back?" Baldy raised an eyebrow, somewhat taken aback. - Focused on providing the most comfortable reading experience.

He originally thought that the other party would kill him immediately, in front of those goblins, or even not kill him, but let the tall troll standing there eat him. If he did that, the goblins of the kingdom might be so frightened that they would surrender immediately.

But the goblins on the platform clearly didn't do that.

Seeing that the other person was just smiling at him calmly, he suddenly realized that maybe it wasn't a joke. "Are you really letting us go back?"

Seeing Charles nod with a smile, Baldy was overjoyed. "He survived."

"Thank goodness Quetzalcoatl, I actually survived and was able to return to the kingdom." Baldy tried hard to control his facial expression, afraid that laughing too much would offend the other party and cost him his life.

"Go back and tell your brain-dead god," Charles said with his hands behind his back, "If you're not satisfied, send more goblins. We're not afraid of fighting. Although this is all the strength we have, we are not afraid of any enemy. No matter how many goblins come, we will fight you to the end."

He withdrew his smile and spoke in a serious tone, while staring intently at the bald man below, trying to put on an expression that said, "We are not afraid to die."

Baldy immediately lowered his head, looking like he understood and would pass on the message. But as he lowered his head, a smug smile appeared on his face. "So this is all the power you have. Then next time I just need to bring more goblins, I will definitely be able to crush you."

Before long, Charles's men drove away the goblins, while he himself remained standing on the platform, gazing into the distance at the figures disappearing into the forest. "Next time, you must bring more goblins."

Seeing that the leaders had all disappeared into the woods, the goblins sitting on the ground began to get restless. Now that there was no leader, these goblins began to consider their own choices.

Unfortunately, Ciel wouldn't give them time to overthink things.

"I have defeated you, I am your leader. Surrender or die?" he shouted again. Now he had to act quickly. If someone stepped forward, things would be much easier.

Unfortunately, despite his three shouts, the goblins huddled together on the ground remained unresponsive.

Charles frowned. "As expected, these guys are cunning; none of them want to be the first to stick their neck out."

He quickly calculated and soon came up with a solution: "Qingpi, come here."

Charles jumped off the platform and called his men to him. "Wait here, do this, do this."

A few minutes later, Charles shouted again for the goblins of the Feathered Serpent Kingdom to surrender, but there was still no response. It seemed that these guys were hoping that he might release them as well.

As the goblins waited in silence, a goblin in blood-stained, tattered clothes slowly stood up from the corner, and then, under the gaze of more than 600 pairs of eyes, slowly lowered his head and walked to Shire.

He slowly knelt down and then reached out to touch one of Charles's ankles.

After performing these actions, Green Skin shouted loudly, "Green Egg is the leader."

"Damn it, he's a handsome guy," Charles muttered through gritted teeth.

After Qingpi finished bowing, he quickly stood up and stood behind Xia Er.

One second, two seconds, three seconds...

"This method won't work?" Charles frowned as he scanned the group of goblins.

Then, a goblin dressed in tattered clothes limped over.
