Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins
Chapter 152 Searching Southwards
"These goblins are truly vicious," Charles remarked, looking at the devastation around him.
He has now returned to the centaur village, which was burned to the ground by the Evilthroat Army after the centaurs fled. They then sent people to search the surrounding area for several days, hoping to find any trace of the centaurs.
Only recently did these guys give up their stakeout and finally withdraw their forces, while Broken Tooth had been hiding in the shadows of the centaur village, observing everything around him with his binoculars.
"They haven't shown up for two days?" Charles stomped on the black ash under his feet and turned to ask Broken Tooth.
Broken Tooth didn't speak, he just nodded.
"You wait here, the rest of you start moving the stones." Charles began assigning tasks to his men. He hadn't brought many people with him this time, in case the Evil Throat Army had any backup plans, but so far there seemed to be no unusual activity.
The goblins began to carefully move the white stones in the ashes, afraid of making too much noise, while Shire warily watched the surroundings through his binoculars.
This runeword material warehouse contains a lot of pure white stones. It would take many days to move them all back, but Sharl is not in a hurry and can move them slowly.
At the same time, he brought up his domain map to check the situation in this area.
"Most of this area is still shrouded in mist and not fully revealed; only the areas I've passed through have been shown." Charles looked at the yellowish-brown parchment map in front of him. A winding road leading north led straight to his current location. "Based on past experience, I estimate that I'll need to find or recruit the goblin tribes in this area to unlock the entire map."
"The goblins in this area," he thought for a moment, then smiled wryly, "have probably all become slaves of the Evilthroat Army."
"Only by defeating the Evilthroat Army, killing those goblins, and then capturing and incorporating those goblins can the entire map be unlocked."
"However, this area is quite large," Xia Er zoomed in on his mind, widening his perspective and discovering that this new area was almost half the size of his current controlled area. "I wonder what good things are hidden here. Herbs are definitely a given, and it would be great if there were some relics as well."
"Hmm?" While examining the map, he noticed a strange pattern appearing on the winding road heading north. Charles immediately zoomed out to carefully examine the pattern.
"There looks like there's an underground ruin here. I didn't notice it when I passed by," he said, stroking his chin and staring intently at the small corner that had been exposed. "It doesn't look like a herb spot. It looks a lot like the icons on the map for the watchtower basements we saw before."
"After we finish moving everything, I'll lead the team to take a look," Xia Er decided. "I didn't expect to be so lucky. If I hadn't opened the domain map and looked at it carefully, I probably would have missed this place."
Just as Charles was examining the map inch by inch, Nine Fingers ran up to him and said, "Chief, you'd better come and take a look."
"What's wrong?" Charles finished examining his subordinate, opened his eyes, and looked at him. Nine Fingers didn't speak, but pointed to a spot not far away.
"Go take a look." After saying that, several goblins tiptoed over, and soon, Sharl saw what Nine Fingers wanted him to see.
This is the corpse of a goblin, buried in the ashes. It should be a slave soldier of the Evilthroat Army who died. The corpses of the centaurs and goblins had already been taken away by the Evilthroat Army. It seems that they were "reusing" them. It's just that these guys may not have searched thoroughly and left behind a corpse.
Charles covered his mouth and nose, squatted down to examine the body. Over the past few days, the corpse had clearly decomposed, emitting a foul odor, and its skin was no longer the red it had been before.
"It's turned green again," he said, poking the corpse with a long twig. But apart from the decay, there was no other special reaction. "There's not much change in appearance either, which means the Evilthroat Army can't permanently change the goblin's appearance. At most, they can drive them insane for a period of time."
"No, something's not quite right," as Charles continued to pry open the corpse, more details came to light. "It looks like he has serious injuries in many parts of his body. Could it be from an attack by a centaur?"
"But the external injuries aren't very serious, just a few arrow wounds. It looks like both legs were severed by shovel-shaped arrows, leaving him only able to crawl. But why is his body like this?"
After studying it for a while, Charles decided to give up for the time being. After all, he was not a real forensic doctor, and fortunately, it was winter, so the body was still relatively well preserved and had not been carried away by wild animals.
"You guys get back to work," he turned to his men and instructed them, "Remember to stay away from this area, and don't bother with those white stones."
"It looks like these Evilthroat Army slaves will also die," Charles said, moving away from the corpse while recalling the battle he had witnessed that day. The fearless red goblins had left a deep impression on him. "It's good that they're going to die. As long as we find the source of their power, that's all that matters."

"General, this is what we found." Three-Scar respectfully presented an arrow to the earth spirit with both hands.
"One arrow?" Evil Throat said with disgust. "Is this all the result of your search these past few days?"
He gestured with his eyes, and several goblins came over and stomped Scarface to the ground. "You've disappointed me. It seems I'll have to hand you over to the ogres."
"No, General." Three-Scar struggled desperately on the ground. "We found this in the woods south of the centaur village. It looks new and isn't very big. It wouldn't have been used by the centaurs you fought."
Hearing the goblin's words, Evilthroat glanced at the arrow on the ground. As the goblin had said, the arrow was indeed rather small. "So what are you trying to say?"
"South, they've already fled south," Scarface cried out in anguish as several goblins stomped on his back and waist.
"Are you so sure?" The harsh voice was devoid of any emotion; it was simply a calm question.
"Yes, General, I'm sure." Three Scars had no other thoughts at this point. He had led a few goblins to explore the surrounding forests over the past few days. Thanks to the previous battles and fires, not many wild beasts were willing to come to this large area for the time being, but at the same time, he had not made any useful discoveries.
Finally, he found the arrow on a tree trunk, which he considered a great find, as he could now report back to General Evil Throat.
Some goblins tried to escape, but he taught them a lesson with his stick. Those goblins had ropes tied to their feet and couldn't escape at all. Scarface himself didn't want to run away either. He had experienced the ogre "Overseer" before, threatened the centaur chieftain, and even extorted a few stags. He missed that feeling and didn't want to lose it completely.
"One arrow proves nothing," Evilthroat waved his hand, signaling the goblins to release Three Scars. "I need you to find those centaurs. If you still can't find them, you should know what your fate will be."
"Yes, General." Three Scars got up again, then quickly crawled a few steps, holding the arrow in his arms, afraid that it would be trampled by the other earth goblins.
"I'll give you some more time. Take the goblins and find those centaurs for me," Evilthroat said, touching his nose. "Or you can find any other valuable targets, and I'll be lenient with you."
Three-Scar bowed his head repeatedly in gratitude, completely disregarding the fact that the action would aggravate the wound on his ear. "I will, I will take people to find it right away."
"General, are we just going to let him go like that?" A goblin looked at the respectfully departing goblin with disdain. "I almost crushed him to death just now."
"No, it's not time yet." Evilthroat stood up, his iron-plated leather armor whirring with each step. "How many goblins did the slave-catching team capture today?"
"More than 50," a goblin immediately said.
"That's not enough. We need to increase patrols in the north these next few days and capture a few more. Now is the perfect time for the Goblin Kingdom to 'cleanse' itself." Evil Throat smirked and chuckled maliciously. "It's also time for us to strengthen ourselves. Too many goblins died in the battle with the centaurs."
"However, General, there are four goblin cubs inside," the goblin said, pointing to the general.
"Another one blessed by an evil god?" Evil Throat's smile vanished. "I really envy this goblin kingdom for being able to obtain such powerful combat strength as an evil god."
Then he waved his hand, "Kill them all, then dump them on the ogres."
"Yes, General."

"Boss, can you make this?" Little John slammed a drawing on the blacksmith's counter.
"This is... a lance? It looks a bit small." The blacksmith picked up the blueprint and carefully studied the numbers marked on it.
"Yes, it's a lance." Little John nodded, then handed the other person a drawing. "And this horse armor?"
"You've really ordered quite a lot this time." The shopkeeper smiled ingratiatingly, quickly examining the blueprints for the horse armor. "This looks much smaller than ordinary horse armor, and it seems incomplete."
"Can you do it? If you can, I have some other orders here."
The blacksmith thought for a moment, then leaned over and whispered, "So you work for the Earl's mansion. I didn't realize you Reapers had such powerful backing."
"Uh," Little John pouted, no longer wanting to say anything.
"I heard before that the Storm Brotherhood and the Earl's Mansion had a lot of trouble. It turns out they were taken down by you guys. Now you're buying bows and arrows and preparing to make lances. Who are you going to fight next?" The boss looked at Little John with a knowing look and a knowing smile.
"Oh, we're going to kill goblins," Little John said calmly.
The blacksmith chuckled, "Don't be ridiculous, the count wiped out all the goblins in the forest."
