Courtyard Houses: Longevity Since the War of Resistance
Chapter 72 Takahiro Fujiwara
There are things sinking underwater, all sorts of nails stuck in the waters of Hong Kong and Macau. They're hidden there just to prick your feet and hurt you.
Old Master You's decision to clean house is a family matter. As for the people from other places, that's Li Feng's business.
The shadows of Kowloon Walled City swallowed the last trace of bloodshed. Li Feng stepped out of the dark alley and pulled out the fifth nail.
A cigarette dangled from his lips, unlit. He looked up, his gaze sweeping over the towering buildings to the glittering lights on the hillside. The last person on the list was a congressman who took money from an overseas foundation and engaged in treacherous activities.
Li Feng originally planned to use gentler methods to deal with this kind of person.
He stubbed out his cigarette and darted towards the hillside luxury residential area, arriving outside the window in the blink of an eye.
The room was brightly lit, and the curtains were drawn. But to Li Feng, it was all a facade. He saw the congressman with his back to the window, growling softly into the phone.
Li Feng lightly touched the alloy window latch, but just as he released the force...
The cause-and-effect process was passively triggered; BS Group? A digital army!
It's been 23 years, and it's still around!!!
Snap! Crash!
The window lock and the entire pane of glass turned to dust, and Li Feng, accompanied by a shower of crystalline light like a judge emerging from hell, descended upon the center of the study!
The congressman was terrified; he dropped the phone, his obese body sprang from his chair, his face ashen: "Who...who are you?!"
Li Feng grabbed his throat with his right hand, lifted him up, and slammed him hard against the expensive mahogany bookcase behind him!
boom!
Splinters flew everywhere, and books collapsed. The senator's throat gurgled, and the suffocation and excruciating pain caused his eyes to bulge and his limbs to flail in vain.
"Why not walk the right path instead of crawling back into the gutter to lick the rotting flesh of maggots?" The voice was low and hoarse, yet every word was like an ice pick. "What did the BS Group feed you? Heart? Liver? Or something even dirtier?"
Upon hearing the name BS Group, the congressman felt as if he had been electrocuted. He tried to scream, but could only let out a hoarse, escaping sound.
Li Feng, too lazy to waste words, tapped his forehead.
Soul search!
The domineering mental force pierced through like a sharp knife, violently searching through all memories related to the BS Group, no matter how deeply they were hidden.
The senator's consciousness crumbled amidst a silent scream, and the floodgates of memory burst open.
Three years ago, he suffered from liver failure and was sentenced to death. A mysterious middleman appeared and introduced him to BS Biotechnology Group, claiming to have special channels.
The exorbitant cost nearly bankrupted them. They received a liver transplant at a secluded overseas sanatorium. There was no donor information, only a report.
He recovered well after surgery, even surpassing his former energy levels. The price was becoming a covert agent for the BS Group in Hong Kong, providing political asylum for its information, personnel, and financial flows.
I was once invited to visit the group's high-end customer service center located overseas, and its level of luxury and seclusion was astonishing. The memory culminated in a black card with a unique texture.
Takahiro Fujiwara, Chief Medical Officer of BS Group.
The senator withdrew his finger, completely limp, his pupils dilated.
In Li Feng's vision, the causal lines converged, pointing to an island in the South Pacific Ocean on the southeastern horizon. He teleported, and beneath his feet was no longer solid ground or buildings, but a vast ocean.
On the distant horizon, lies Iris Island, or rather, Nirvana Island, the private property of the BS Group.
Li Feng stood in mid-air, the sea breeze billowing his clothes. A cold smile curled at the corner of his mouth. His figure disappeared again, and when he reappeared, he was standing directly in the center of the island.
Before the alarm could sound, several guards on patrol saw a figure suddenly appear in front of the main entrance of the pristine white building complex.
"Who goes there?!" The shout and the sound of a gun being cocked rang out almost simultaneously.
Li Feng didn't even look at them; he simply raised his right hand and waved it behind him, like fanning himself.
Then the guards saw a scene they would never forget: everything they could see—the radar station, barracks, docks, warehouses, even the trees and rocks on the island—except for the main building behind them, was collapsing.
It was as if it had been flattened by an invisible giant hand.
The guards were completely dumbfounded. They could barely hold their guns, their mouths agape, unable to utter a single word. Their legs were trembling.
Li Feng lowered his hand as if he had just done something insignificant, and looked at the tightly closed door of the building in front of him.
There was not a sound from inside the door; it was deathly quiet.
Li Feng lifted his foot and walked forward, casually waving his left and right hands as he passed by the frozen guards.
boom!boom!
With a few muffled thuds, the guard's head exploded like a rotten watermelon, and he collapsed to the ground.
Li Feng entered the building, where the lights were blindingly bright. The air smelled of disinfectant mixed with an indescribable fragrance.
Walk down the left-hand corridor. On both sides of the corridor are rooms one after another, all with closed doors. Each door has a small square window. Look into the first window.
The room resembled a small hospital ward, with only a narrow bed. A person lay on the bed, not very old, but so thin he was just skin and bones. Soft leather straps were attached to his wrists and ankles, connected to electrical conduits. The person stared blankly at the ceiling, his eyes unmoving for a long time. Even though someone was watching from outside, he showed no reaction.
Li Feng pursed his lips slightly and continued walking forward.
The next room, almost there; the next one, still there.
Walking down the corridor, Li Feng noticed a door that wasn't fully closed. He pushed it open, revealing a larger space inside, like a meeting room. Seven or eight people, both men and women, were sitting there, all dressed in the same light blue clothes and appearing to be quite young. Hearing the door open, a few slowly turned around, their eyes blank, while the majority kept their heads down, too afraid to look up.
He stepped out and closed the door behind him. At the end of the corridor was a thick iron door. Behind the door was a warehouse-like space with rows of large, transparent jars, most of which contained various human organs. At the far end of the room was an operating table, with scalpels and scissors still on a tray beside it, stained with dark blood.
Back in the activity room, Li Feng snapped his fingers, and everyone's bodies recovered, returning to their youthful state. At the same time, he erased all memories from their minds about the island, the BS Group, and all the terrifying experiences they had after being captured.
After finishing all that, he snapped his fingers again to send them all home.
To the right was the space where the guards and researchers stayed, but they weren't so lucky. Li Feng raised his hand and brought it down, and everyone turned around. Their consciousness was extracted and put into the slow, agonizing cycle.
Li Feng didn't look at them again, stepped over the empty shells, and headed towards the stairs at the end of the hall.
The entire top floor belonged to Takahiro Fujiwara, whose office door was tightly closed.
Pushing open the door, one enters a huge R-style office. Takahiro Fujiwara sits behind a massive desk, a cup of tea long since gone cold in front of him, his face ashen. He has seen everything from the surveillance footage.
"Are you even human?! What have you done?"
"Everything that needed to be done has been done." Li Feng walked to the desk and looked at him across the table.
Fujiwara Takahiro's throat moved, as if he wanted to say something, but he didn't. His hand, which was under the table, began to tremble uncontrollably.
You seem very scared.
Fujiwara Takahiro took a deep breath, trying to straighten his back, but failed. "I... I just never imagined that someone like you actually existed in this world. No wonder we lost back then."
"My purpose in life is to kill Japanese devils, especially those like you who are associated with the numerical warfare units."
Fujiwara Takahiro's pupils contracted sharply. "No...it's not my fault. I was just...just doing business. Those things are all in the past!" Fujiwara Takahiro's mental defenses began to crumble, and his voice became pleading.
"Give me...give me a quick death! I know I can't escape, just give me a quick death, okay?!"
"Pleasant?" Li Feng seemed to have heard a joke. "Those people you bound like livestock and tore apart, did they ever ask for pleasure?"
Fujiwara Takahiro's face turned ashen, and he was speechless.
Li Feng stopped looking at him. He slightly raised his hands and made a loose gesture in front of him.
A semi-transparent screen, composed entirely of light, shadow, and energy, suddenly appeared in the office air. Fujiwara Takahiro stared wide-eyed at the images in disbelief.
Those were his clients, the most core secrets of the BS Group, and important figures scattered around the world under heavy protection!
"Anyone who has ever been exposed to the dirty technology from your digital army, or used your tricks of treating people like spare parts, must die."
As soon as he finished speaking, Li Feng suddenly clenched his hands inward!
Silently.
But on the screen, those wealthy and powerful people who were enjoying life, no matter where they were or what they were doing, all froze at the same moment. Extreme pain and confusion appeared on their faces. Their hands involuntarily covered their chests, their eyes widened, and then...
Pfft!Pfft!Pfft!
One by one, without warning, they fell straight down. Their hearts were shattered at the same moment.
Fujiwara Takahiro slumped in his chair, his sanity shattered by the godlike methods that completely disregarded distance and defense.
"You...who exactly are you..." He stared blankly at Li Feng, his lips trembling, "Are you a god...or a devil...?"
Li Feng withdrew his hand, and the screen went dark. He walked around the large desk, stood in front of Fujiwara Takahiro, and looked down at the old Japanese soldier who was slumped over like a rag doll.
Then, he lifted his foot, the heavy sole of his boot pressing down on Fujiwara Takahiro's head, slowly pressing his face against the cold floor.
"God? Demon?" Li Feng's voice came from above. "Neither."
He slightly increased the pressure on his feet, and Fujiwara Takahiro's cheekbones groaned from the strain.
"Listen carefully, you old devil."
Li Feng spoke slowly and deliberately, his voice not loud, yet it pierced the other person's ears like nails:
"I am the guardian spirit."
As he spoke, the foot that was standing on his head suddenly stomped down!
