He licked his chapped lips and continued to pump.

"Brother Mi, you're a businessman for sure, you gamble big! I, Qian Wendi, always keep my word! Don't worry, once I get the money and settle things, the first thing I'll do is find a way to take care of that bastard Liu Yaozu while I'm at it!"

"This way, I can fulfill my promise to the old man, and also vent my anger for you, Brother Mi... and for myself!"

The faint sound of prison sirens could still be heard in the distance, but there seemed to be no sign that they were approaching their direction.

"Big Mimi" was silent for a few seconds, seemingly weighing the pros and cons. Finally, clutching his stomach, he growled, "Let's go! Enough talk!"

Without further delay, the two, like two frightened wild beasts, swiftly traversed the dark mountain forest, concealed by dense vines and bushes.

Although "Big Mimi" was seriously injured and weak, she seemed to be exceptionally familiar with the terrain of the area, leading Qian Wendi to turn left and right, avoiding paths that might be patrolled or monitored.

The hull of the boat rubbed against the reef, making a screeching sound.

Behind him, "Big Mimi's" weak but anxious curses continued, accompanied by his occasional gasps of breath from the pain.

Qian Wendi remained silent, pushing the boat with all his might. Cold sweat mixed with splashing seawater, soaking his clothes.

Behind him were prison guards who could catch up at any moment; ahead lay the dark, unknown sea; and beside him was a terminally ill, vicious, and desperate fugitive "companion"...

His heart pounded like a drum, but his eyes shone brightly—a thirst for immense wealth, and a mad and dangerous gamble on freedom and the future.

The small boat glided slowly towards the undulating waves.

"Woof~ woof~~ Woof woof woof!"

Before the urgent, sharp sirens had even stopped, fierce barking came from afar!

Immediately following was a flurry of rapidly approaching footsteps, crunching on the fallen leaves and branches of the woodland, their sound like a death knell in the silent night.

Upon hearing this, Qian Wendi, who was struggling to push his boat on the rocky beach, turned pale instantly, his hands froze involuntarily, and his heart sank.

"Damn it! What the hell are you standing there for?! Are you waiting to die?! Hurry up and push!!"

Almost lying on the other side of the small boat, with his shoulder braced against the hull, "Big Mimi" was in so much pain that his face was as pale as paper, and large beads of cold sweat kept rolling down his forehead. But under the stimulation of the excruciating pain and fear, his eyes burst out with a terrifying ferocity.

The threat of death was like ice water poured over his head, sending a shiver down Qian Wendi's spine!

He let out a low growl, a mixture of fear and desperation, lowered his head, and poured all his strength into his arms and shoulders, working in tandem with "Big Mimi" to push the heavy, dilapidated boat into the sea with all his might!

The hull rubbed violently against the rough rocks, producing a piercing "creak" sound, and the hull rocked erratically.

Finally, just as several beams of flashlight were about to shine on the rocks where they were hiding, the small boat suddenly sank and its bow slid into the undulating waves!

"Get on the boat quickly!"

Qian Wendi and "Dami" jumped into the swaying boat almost simultaneously, using both hands and feet.

The boat was violently rocked by the weight of the two people, and it almost capsized.

Ignoring the excruciating pain in her lower abdomen and the swaying of the boat, "Big Mimi" scrambled to the stern, her hands trembling, and grabbed the starter rope of the small outboard engine, pulling hard with her last bit of strength!

However, the small boat had already sailed some distance away and was out of effective firing range.

"Hahahaha!!!" Seeing that he had escaped the most dangerous shore, Qian Wendi calmed down a little, and a surge of ecstatic joy at surviving a disaster and a twisted desire for release after a long period of suppression rushed to his head.

He suddenly stood up, hands on his hips, ignoring the swaying of the small boat as it sped along, and turned to the increasingly distant, ant-like flashlight beams on the shore, laughing arrogantly and sarcastically.
