Bro, you handle the camera work, I'll take care of the female lead.

Go back to dorms.

Chen Fei immediately contacted Jing Tian, who was filming on set.

"I have something to discuss with you."

"What's up? You're not going to ask me for money again, are you?" Jing Tian said half-jokingly.

Chen Fei cut to the chase: "Do you want the copyright to 'Old Boys'?! I'll sell you a two-year license for one million."

Jing Tian frowned: "Do you think I'm stupid?!"

Do they really think they're so naive and rich that they're easy to fool? Although the script for "Old Boys" is good, it's still just a short film and won't fetch much of a price.

If Chen Fei hadn't left a good impression on her, selling her two-year license for a million, Jing Tian would have blocked this swindler long ago.

Chen Fei quickly explained, "This price is a little expensive, but don't worry, we'll definitely recoup the costs later."

The copyright fee is 500,000 yuan per year.

Once this short film is released, the price will be much higher!

Five hundred thousand a year is definitely a friendly price!

Jing Tian said sourly, "Do you really think I'm stupid and have too much money? If you have such a good deal, why don't you go to your little girlfriend Chu Yuxun?!"

"She's not my girlfriend," Chen Fei explained.

He had absolutely no relationship with Chu Yuxun; they hadn't even held hands.

He won't take the blame for this.

Just as Chen Fei was about to continue explaining, he heard a concerned female voice on the other end of the phone: "Sweetie, who are you talking to again?! Take a break and we'll turn on your phone soon."

"No...nobody, just a friend."

Jing Tian gave a perfunctory reply to the female voice, then lowered her voice to say goodbye to Chen Fei, "Okay, I'm not talking to you anymore, I'm going to film. Good luck."

Chen Fei almost fainted.

He was completely ruined by that vixen Chu Yuxun!

We really need to find a chance to teach this vixen a lesson!

However, before that, selling the copyright of "Old Boys" is the most urgent task.

The resources from the rich girl's side are no longer usable.

From now on, I can only rely on myself.

Sitting in front of the computer.

Chen Fei quickly identified several domestic video websites as potential target customers.

There are currently only three websites.

One is Youku Video, which was established just last year but has developed rapidly.

The other is Sohu Video, owned by Zhang Chaoyang.

The last one is Tudou.com.

Looking at the three smaller companies on the list, Chen Fei shook his head with regret and sighed, "It's a pity that Tencent's Penguin Video and Baidu's iQiyi won't be able to enter the market for another few years. Otherwise, it would be much better to cooperate directly with those two than with these three."

In the previous life, iQiyi and Tencent Video eventually surpassed it.

Sohu, Tudou, and Youku, these veterans, have all been trampled underfoot by these two.

Penguin Video, relying on the IPs of Penguin and China Literature Group, has almost monopolized 70-80% of the market share.

"Never mind, I'll just make do with this for now."

As Chen Fei spoke, he sent messages to the heads of the content departments of the three video websites using their respective email addresses.

After doing all this.

Chen Fei finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He was the only one left in the dormitory.

Zhang Ruoyun went to join her father on set to experience the atmosphere, while Guo Kai, under the management of Enlight Media, took time to participate in some small projects that Enlight Media was involved in at the TV station, which can be considered as accumulating some experience in television and stage.

Bored, Chen Fei started checking the chat content in the class group.

"It's a pity that Sweetie is filming a movie, otherwise she would definitely have a place in the Baochai group."

"These three people in the top three of Baoyu's group are really ugly."

"It's far inferior to the 84 version of Dream of the Red Chamber."

"Qingzi, I heard you were selected by director Li Shaohong?"

"What selection? I'm just a supporting character, Musk Moon, far inferior to Senior Yang Mi's Qingwen."

Who else from our class was selected?

"The class monitor originally said he was going to audition, but he didn't go because he was busy with the short film."

"Chu Yuxun didn't go either. With her qualifications, she'd definitely be in the top three of Daiyu's group."

Everyone kept discussing it.

Chen Fei watched the screen with great interest.

The most interesting and controversial part of "Dream of the Red Chamber" is the love-hate entanglement between Jia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu, and Xue Baochai.

To generate more buzz for the TV series, director Li Shaohong generously gave the audience the choice of who would play these three roles through open auditions.

The audition for "Dream of the Red Chamber" was a great success.

The Precious Jade Group.

Baochai Group.

Daiyu Group.

The selection process for the three groups was in full swing.

It must be said that this is indeed a good method.

Unfortunately, the actors' performances were subpar, and the costumes and props were poor, causing this remake of a classic novel to plummet in popularity. Even the contrast with the original *Dream of the Red Chamber* made Ximen Qing's demon-subduing robe in the new *Water Margin* and Zhang Fei's roaring performance in *Romance of the Three Kingdoms* seem more palatable.

Chen Fei stared at it for a while, then closed the chat box, feeling utterly bored.

TV series like "Dream of the Red Chamber" were of no help to him.

It's neither popular nor profitable.

Only a fool would touch that.

Moreover, the status of television directors is far lower than that of film directors.

Despite Li Shaohong's reputation in the television drama field, compared to mainland film directors like Feng Xiaogang, Chen Shiren, Zhang Yimou, and Jiang Wen, her prestige is immediately far inferior.

Zhang Yimou, in particular, will be directing the opening ceremony of the Olympics next year, and his reputation is about to reach its peak.

Of course, Chen Fei also doesn't object to directing and starring in a TV series with Guo Fan.

After all, he and Guo Fan are just getting started and still need to boost their popularity to maintain their base.

But if you make him go to the film set and have to put up with other people's attitudes.

Chen Fei must be feeling uncomfortable.

With this in mind, Chen Fei completely abandoned the idea of cooperating with Rong Xinda.

...

The next morning.

Friday.

Chen Fei woke up in bed and immediately got out to check his email for replies.

To his disappointment...

None of the content managers from the three companies replied to his message.

However, Chen Fei wasn't in a hurry. It had only been a day since he posted the video, and these major video websites were already ignoring newcomers.

In fact, this is true not only in the film and television industry, but in any industry. Even if Chen Fei himself were in charge, he would not give priority to newcomers.

Because newcomers represent greater risks and a lack of experience.

If he included Zhang Yimou himself in the email address.

I reckon even the CEOs of video websites would have to call him personally.

Quickly wash up.

Chen Fei packed his belongings and went downstairs to prepare for class.

Today's class is a physical education class.

Chu Yuxun changed into a black training uniform and canvas shoes early in the morning and ran to Chen Fei in a sweet voice.

Her long, black hair was styled into a pretty bun at the back of her head.

Her fair and delicate face was full of innocent smiles.

Kan Qingzi, on the other hand, is much colder.

Since joining the Dream of the Red Chamber production team, this little vixen has subtly kept her distance from him, the class monitor.

Chen Fei smiled nonchalantly and shook his head on the spot.

"Let's begin, class monitor," Chu Yuxun said happily.

Chen Fei's smile vanished instantly, and he nodded helplessly: "Okay, you can go first."

I really can't shake her off!
