Yu-Gi-Oh!: Worldwide Mix, the Ultimate Necromancer Duel

Chapter 58. Pegasus! The Kingdom Battle Royale of Duel Academy?!

"game!!"

Two voices rang out simultaneously from not far away, carrying a familiar vitality.

You Chen raised an eyebrow, knowing who it was without even turning around.

Within the city, there is restraint.

Kyoko Masaki.

He knew it! With the friendship between these three, how could they possibly separate? I was just wondering why only one person was involved; turns out it was just that my cousin arrived first.

"You've arrived." Yugi Muto stood up, raised his hand, and called out to them, "I was just talking about a duel with Yuujin-kun."

Jōnei jogged over, and when he saw Yūchen there, he was taken aback and scratched the back of his head.

"I didn't expect you two could actually have a conversation." He looked You Chen up and down, then at the game. "I thought that with your personalities, you wouldn't have much in common."

He was about to introduce himself when You Chen spoke first.

"No need for introductions."

You Chen got up and patted the weeds off his pants.

I know all of you.

He looked into the city.

"Katsuya Castle."

Then she looked at the apricot.

"Kyoko Masaki."

Upon hearing this, Jonouchi and Kyoko exchanged surprised glances.

"You told him about us?" Kyoko asked, somewhat surprised.

Yugi Muto shook his head awkwardly.

"No." His voice held a hint of confusion. "To be honest, I don't know how he knew. You Chenjun seems to know a lot about us."

Kyoko frowned slightly and murmured, "It's understandable that you know me. But if you know both Jonouchi and me..."

She paused.

"That's a bit unbelievable."

The city was still pondering this matter, but upon hearing this, he immediately moved to Bengbu.

"Hey!!" His expression instantly turned into a classic facial expression, and he shouted in dissatisfaction, "Don't drag me into this! I'm an excellent duelist too, okay! I'm on par with Yugi! Remember, on par!"

You Chen couldn't help but smile when he saw him like that.

Same level?

If a seahorse heard this, it would probably laugh its head off.

"Oh, right!" Jonouchi suddenly remembered something, slapping his thigh. "I almost forgot about the important matter!"

He turned to the game, his expression becoming excited.

"Game, Duel Academy just announced an important duel tournament!"

"What competition?" the game asked, somewhat taken aback.

"The founder of the International Illusion Society—Pegasus!" Jonouchi's voice rose several octaves. "He's hosting a Kingdom Battle Royale duel at the Duel Academy next week!"

You Chen was not interested at first, but upon hearing this, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.

Bekas?

Kingdom Battle Royale?

"It's supposedly a tournament held to celebrate the release of the new cards," Jonouchi said, getting more and more excited. "There are prizes, new card rewards, and—"

He paused, deliberately keeping everyone in suspense.

"No one can use their original decks!" Jonouchi clapped his hands. "We can only use the decks provided by the tournament organizers! That means all those innate advantages are useless!"

"How exciting! This is a true test of strength in a duel!"

Kyoko sounded a little worried: "Can't I use a deck I'm familiar with? Won't that be hard to adapt to?"

"That's why it's called a test!" Jonouchi said matter-of-factly. "And apparently the rules are different too. It's called Battle Royale, so it's definitely a free-for-all! The winner gets to acquire the opponent's deck to strengthen their own!"

He became more and more excited as he spoke.

"This kind of competition is practically tailor-made for me!"

Yu Chen stood aside, listening to the description from within the city, somewhat taken aback.

Pegasus's kingdom duel has somehow turned into a duel at the Duel Academy?

Furthermore, players cannot use their own decks; they can only use the decks provided by the tournament organizers.

The winner can acquire the opponent's deck to strengthen their own.

A massive melee ensued.

Battle Royale.

Wow, this is getting interesting.

It was much more exciting than the previous Kingdom Duel.

You Chen originally thought there wouldn't be any major competitions before Duel City. He didn't expect Pegasus to pull this stunt.

It seems the world is more bustling than he imagined.

However, You Chen's eyes suddenly narrowed.

Pegasus came to the Duel Academy to hold a competition for no apparent reason.

Very suspicious.

It's obvious that it smelled something.

You Chen had more or less guesses about Pegasus's intentions.

It's definitely not as simple as you might imagine.

At least he doesn't believe in Pegasus and has no ulterior motive.

……

Principal's Office.

Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a golden hue on the floor. Exquisite tea sets sat on the mahogany desk, steam rising gently from them.

Principal Samejima sat on the sofa, beaming with smiles.

"Haha, Mr. Pegasus, your duel sponsorship has been received by the Duel Academy."

He picked up his teacup and took a small sip.

"Furthermore, I have already announced the Kingdom Duel. This time, our Duel Academy will definitely cooperate fully with your match."

He gestured for him to proceed.

"Please have some tea."

Across from him, Bekas elegantly crossed his legs.

His long, silvery-white hair cascaded over his shoulders, his red suit was impeccably tailored, and the scarf at his collar was tied just right. He held a glass of red wine in his hand, gently swirling it, the crimson liquid leaving streaks on the glass.

"NO! I still prefer red wine."

Bekas's voice has a unique, languid tone, as if he is enjoying a pleasant afternoon.

Principal Samejima smiled and didn't seem to care.

"However, before we begin, I need a list of your colleges."

Bekas took a sip of red wine and looked at the principal through the rim of the glass.

"And a map of Duel Academy."

"No problem." Principal Samejima nodded, then turned to Professor Chronos standing to the side. "Professor Chronos, go and prepare."

"I've got the principal covered, None!"

Professor Chronos's voice was excited, as if he had been injected with adrenaline.

He glanced at Pegasus furtively, his eyes filled with admiration.

This is the founder of the International Illusion Society!

The legendary Pegasus!

His idol!

How could I not be excited to see it up close for the first time?

Oh my god!

So elegant.

That languid posture, that noble demeanor, that elegant movement of swirling the wine glass…

Professor Chronos felt his heart racing.

In fact, his style is all imitating Pegasus's elegance.

Unfortunately, the imitation was not done well, and it ended up looking somewhat like a mishmash.

Pegasus seemed to have noticed his gaze.

He tilted his head slightly and glanced at Professor Chronos.

A smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

The wine glass swirled gently in his hand, the crimson liquid reflecting half of his face.

That smile, reflected in the wine, appeared somewhat...

distortion.

Beneath the shadow of long white hair, the thousand-year-old eyeballs moved, and the dim light seemed to reveal an unprecedented pressure.
