Simultaneous Time Travel: What Villain? I'm the Protagonist!
Chapter 71 The Pledge of Allegiance, the Monster Messenger, and the Boy
Sheng Ren looked at the white-bearded man's outstretched hand but did not take it.
He turned his head and looked at the other side of the ruins.
The marines were desperately carrying the wounded out; some had broken legs, some had lost arms, and others were covered in blood, still screaming "Kill him!" Further away, the black crevice where Akainu had fallen was now just a patch of cold, icy water.
He then looked at the crane.
The crane stood on the ruins, covered in blood, but its back was straight. It was looking at him, its eyes showing neither fear nor anger.
Sheng Ren suddenly smiled.
The laughter was soft, but when it landed on the desolate ruins, it was like a stone thrown into a stagnant pool.
"Whitebeard," he said, "I appreciate your kindness."
The white-bearded man's eyebrows twitched.
Sheng Ren took a step forward.
"But we can't let this matter rest."
His voice wasn't loud, but everyone present could hear it clearly.
"Sengoku fell, Akainu sank into the sea, Marineford is half-collapsed—and then what?" He looked at Whitebeard. "I'll leave, and in a couple of days you'll rebuild the fortress, send in new admirals, and continue being the Celestial Dragons' dogs?"
The white-bearded man didn't speak.
Sheng Ren turned to look at Aokiji.
"You just said that you're protecting ordinary people."
Aokiji stared intently at him.
"Alright," Sheng Ren said, "I'll ask you this—if I let you go today, will the Navy continue doing those dirty jobs for the Celestial Dragons tomorrow? Will they continue suppressing those who want to rebel the day after tomorrow?"
Aokiji's hand clenched tightly.

Sheng Ren then looked at the crane.
"Chief of Staff Tsuru, you said the Navy conceded. Conceded what? Conceded that they can't defeat me, or conceded that this world shouldn't be ruled by the Celestial Dragons in the first place?"
The crane didn't speak; it remained silent.
Sheng Ren raised his head and scanned the entire ruins.
The marines, officers, and all the survivors present were staring at him.
"If I were to leave today," he said, "the sun will rise as usual tomorrow, you'll continue being Marines, and the Celestial Dragons will continue being gods. Then what was the point of me bombing Mary Geoise and smashing Marineford?"
He paused, his voice becoming even deeper.
"I killed so many people, never to buy peace and tranquility."
The ruins fell silent instantly, with only the sound of the wind whistling through them.
The ice blade in Aokiji's hand gleamed coldly once more.
Kizaru slowly pulled his hand out of his pocket.
The white-bearded man stood to the side, looking at Sheng Ren, a smile suddenly appearing on his lips.
"Kuralalala," he said, "you little rascal, you really don't want to suffer any loss."
Shengren ignored him and stared at Aokiji.
"Come on, keep fighting. Either you all die here, or I die."
That's enough.
Aokiji suddenly spoke.
Sheng Ren looked at him.
Aokiji took a step forward and stood five meters away from him.
"Shengren," he said, "I have a question for you."
Sheng Ren didn't respond.
Aokiji stared intently into his eyes.
"If our navy were to announce today that, from this day forward, we are completely severing ties with the World Government, would you accept it?"
Sheng Ren was stunned on the spot.
Everyone on the ruins was stunned.
The white-bearded man raised an eyebrow.
Kizaru's eyes, which had been narrowed, suddenly widened.
The crane stood on the ruins, its lips moved, but no sound came out.
Aokiji looked at Shengren and said, word by word.
"There's been discontent within the Navy for a long time. We know better than anyone how many dirty deeds the Celestial Dragons have done in the past eight hundred years. But what can we do? They are the World Government, the authority that has stood for eight hundred years, the sky above this sea."
His voice grew louder and louder.
"We can't fight them. Our families, our hometown, are all on their territory. If we dare to rebel, the whole island will be gone the next day."
Sheng Ren didn't say anything.
Aokiji took another step forward.
"But you are different."
He pointed at Sheng Ren.
"You bombed Mary Geoise, killed the Celestial Dragons, and terrified them."
He paused.
"Today, you destroyed Marineford again. Fleet Admiral Sengoku's fate is unknown, and Akainu sank into the sea. If you want, you can easily kill everyone here."
He stared intently at Sheng Ren.
"But then what? You're gone, we're dead, who's going to control the pirates on this high seas?"
Aokiji took a deep breath, his voice resounding.
"I, Kuzan, in the name of a Marine Admiral, hereby declare today—from this moment forward, Marine Headquarters will no longer obey the orders of the World Government!"
The ruins erupted in chaos.
"What?!"
"General Aokiji!"
"Are you crazy?!"
Countless marines cried out in disbelief.
Aokiji ignored him completely and stared at Seijin.
"Is this enough?"
Sheng Ren stared at him for a long time, then suddenly smiled.
"Kuzan," he said, "you are more decisive than I expected."
Aokiji didn't say anything.
Sheng Ren took a step forward.
"But empty talk is useless."
Aokiji frowned.
"I want to pledge my allegiance."
Sheng Ren turned his head and looked at a corner of the ruins.
Somaz was preparing to make a run for it.
He had been shrinking back since earlier, inching closer and closer to the edge of the ruins. After hearing Aokiji's words, his face turned as white as paper. Now, with Sheng Ren staring at him, he froze instantly.
"What...what do you want to do?!"
His voice was trembling uncontrollably.
"I am a Celestial Dragon! I am a member of the Knights of God! How dare you touch me—"
Aokiji didn't look at him, but turned to look at Kizaru.
Kizaru stood still, squinting, his face still showing that lazy look, but his hand had already been pulled out of his pocket.
He stared at Somaz for three seconds, then sighed.
"Ugh, this is such a hassle."
Somaz turned and ran.
He ran incredibly fast; as expected of a member of the Knights of God, even injured, he ran like the wind. He frantically rushed towards the edge of the ruins, towards the sea—if he could jump into the sea, if he could swim to that ship, he could live!
But suddenly a beam of light fell in front of him.
It's Kizaru.
He stood five meters in front of Somaz, put his hands back in his pockets, and tilted his head to look at him.
"Saint Somaz," he said, "why are you running?"
Somaz's face turned as white as a ghost, and he turned and ran in another direction.
Ice instantly appeared from beneath his feet.
Aokiji stood ten meters behind him, his right hand pressed against the ground, and the ice crackled and sprang forward, instantly blocking all his paths.
Somaz was trapped on a small patch of ice, surrounded by high ice walls.
He turned around, looked at the two people in front of him, and shouted hysterically.
"You—you're insane! I'm a Celestial Dragon! I'm a Knight of God, I'm…"
Aokiji didn't let him finish speaking.
An ice blade emerged from his palm, and he raised his hand to slash it down.
Somaz raised his broken sword to block, but the sword snapped in two, and he staggered back three steps. Before he could regain his footing, Kizaru's leg was already upon him.
Light-speed kick.
Somaz was sent flying, smashing through two ice walls before crashing into a boulder.
Although he was immortal, he had no chance of escaping from two Marine Admirals, especially Kizaru, who was known for his speed.
After a struggle, Somazu was captured by Aokiji.
"Aokiji," Kizaru said, "what should we do with him?"
Aokiji didn't speak, but turned to look at the center of the ruins.
Sheng Ren was standing there, looking in their direction.
Aokiji grabbed Somaz by the back of the neck and dragged him toward the center of the ruins like a dead dog.
Somaz struggled desperately, shouting "You will all die a horrible death!" and "The World Government will not let you go!" but no one paid him any attention.
Aokiji walked up to Morihito and casually threw Somaz on the ground.
"Is this enough?"
Somaz lay on the ground, looking up at Sheng Ren with fear in his eyes.
"No, don't kill me! I can give you money! I can give you status! I can give you anything you want—"
Sheng Ren looked down at him for three seconds.
Then he raised his foot and stomped hard on Somaz's face.
"You just said," his voice was cold, "who are the untouchables?"
Somaz's mouth was crushed into the gravel, and he could only make muffled whimpering sounds.
Sheng Ren didn't look at him again, but raised his head to look at Qingzhi and said only one word.
"enough."
Aokiji nodded.
Sheng Ren removed his foot from Somaz's face and looked at the white-bearded man.
The white-bearded man stood to one side, arms crossed, a smile playing on his lips.
"Kuralalala," he said, "Finished?"
Sheng Ren looked at him.
"You just said you wanted to be cured of your illness."
Whitebeard nodded.
"Help me find a space-type fruit."
Whitebeard nodded again.
Sheng Ren was silent for three seconds, then took a step forward.
"I'll go with you."
The white-bearded man smiled.
He reached out his hand again, and this time, Sheng Ren grasped it.
The moment their hands clasped together, everyone's eyes on the ruins fell on them.
Aokiji stood to the side and put away his ice blade.
Kizaru stood with his hands in his pockets, his eyes narrowed, and no one knew what he was thinking.
The crane stood at a distance, watching this scene, and suddenly smiled softly.
The smile was faint, falling on the ashes of the ruins, like the wind blowing through the embers.
Somaz lay on the ground like a dead dog, and no one paid him any more attention.
The black ship had long since disappeared from sight on the distant sea.
Shamlock stood at the bow of the ship, gazing at the ruins in the distance. Beside him stood a man who looked exactly like him.
The Four Emperors, Shanks the Red-Haired, and his younger brother.
He remained silent for a long time, then turned around, looked at Shanks, and sighed deeply:
"The long eight hundred years will eventually come to an end."
On the ruins, Sheng Ren released his grip and looked at Aokiji.
"You'll have to handle the navy's affairs yourself."
Aokiji nodded.
Sheng Ren then looked at the crane.
"Chief of Staff Crane, let this matter drop. If Sengoku is alive, tell him I'll be waiting for you."
The crane did not speak.
Sheng Ren turned around, picked up Somaz, and followed the white-bearded man toward the Moby Dick.
After taking a few steps, he suddenly stopped, without turning around, and only called out once.
"Robin."
In a corner of the ruins, the air suddenly trembled, and a door appeared out of thin air.
Robin came out of the door, carrying a furnace, and stood next to Shengren.
Sheng Ren didn't look at her and continued walking forward, with Robin following behind him.
The two walked one after the other toward the huge whale ship.
Behind them, everyone on the ruins was watching their backs.
Aokiji stood still, exhaling a breath of white air.
Kizaru, standing beside him, suddenly spoke.
"Kuzan".
"Um?"
"Tell me, was what happened today right or wrong?"
Aokiji was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly smiled.
The smile was faint, falling on these ruins like a crack finally appearing on a frozen sea.
"have no idea."
He turned around and walked deeper into the ruins.
"But at least, from today onwards, the navy no longer has to put up with those bastards."
Kizaru watched his retreating figure and suddenly smiled.
"That's true."
He raised his hand, and a light shone from his fingertips.
……
Hokage Morihito looked at One Piece Morihito and clapped his hands:
"Nuclearize Mary Geoise, sink Marineford," he said. "I call you the number one demolition expert in space!"
Pirate Sheng Ren looked around and noticed that all the big shots, including Ultraman Sheng Ren, Shrouding Heaven Sheng Ren, and Eternal Sheng Ren, were looking at him. He lowered his head and thought for a moment:
"You're wrong, the first place should be in the world of Greek mythology."
Upon hearing this, everyone present was stunned, and then they all showed tense expressions.
Amidst the playful noise, Pirate Mori suddenly looked at Hokage Mori:
"Naruto was taken away by the Six Paths? I thought the only threat on your side was the Otsutsuki clan. What are your plans now?"
Naruto Shengren didn't take it seriously:
"It's alright, my only opponent is the Otsutsuki clan. Next, I will take Sasuke as my apprentice and have him go after Naruto!"
"Brilliant, absolutely brilliant," the pirate Sheng Ren paused, "Now we'll have the temptation of watching a TV series about returning to the village."
"And what about you?" Hokage Morihito asked curiously, "Aren't you planning to keep going?"
Pirate Sheng Ren stroked his chin and shook his head:
"Imu's strength is unpredictable, especially the conditions for activating Black Transformation Domination. He also has the Celestial Dragons' national treasure in his possession. Therefore, I must find a space-time fruit similar to Obito's before I can make a move. Ideally, it would be a Mythical Zoan. Now that I have destroyed the Celestial Dragons' treasure vault, I must make the most of this time."
"It's so good to see you all have things to do," Otto Shinichi's untimely voice rang out. "It's a pity I can only sit in the office, occasionally going on trips. Invincible is so lonely!"
The crowd of Sheng Rens were almost unable to contain themselves, but when they saw that it was Ultraman Sheng Ren, they all felt it was normal. After all, this was the true leader of the evil forces of the universe, who not only had many double-flower red sticks under his command, but was also a formidable fighter himself.
Otto Shinichi took a satisfied look at everyone's helplessness, then turned around:
"I'm going on a trip to Earth, so I won't be joining you all anymore. See you next time."
Tokyo metropolitan area, Kanagawa Prefecture, Kawasaki Industrial Zone.
The setting sun cast long, slanted shadows from the abandoned factory's chimneys. Sheng Ren landed on the rooftop of a three-story building, his aura softening to that of an ordinary person—black coat, jeans, hands in pockets, like a young man strolling through the industrial area.
He had barely stood still when someone called him from downstairs.
"Mr. Sheng! Mr. Sheng!"
A thin man in an inexpensive suit jogged over, waving a stack of documents in his hand, a professional smile plastered on his face. He ran downstairs, tilted his head back, and panted heavily.
"Mr. Sheng, you've finally arrived! The factory property transfer contract has been signed. I've been running around for a week; my legs are practically worn out!"
Sheng Ren slowly walked down from the rooftop, and the man immediately put on a smile and handed over the documents.
"If everything's alright, shall we go take a look around the factory?"
Sheng Ren took the contract, glanced at it, and nodded.
"Let's go."
The man led him deeper into the industrial area, through several alleys filled with abandoned pipes. After taking only a few steps, the man suddenly stopped, rubbing his hands together, looking troubled.
"Mr. Sheng, there's something I need to tell you."
Sheng Ren looked at him.
"Over there," the man gestured toward the factory, "there's an old man and a child there, digging holes every day, for years."
The man shrugged. "What's most infuriating is that I even asked around, but the old man wouldn't speak, and the kid ignored me. I was thinking that the factory was about to be transferred to you, and these two are digging holes there every day. What if they dig something wrong..."
He took a step closer and lowered his voice.
"How about I call some people to drive them away? Don't worry, it's no trouble. I know people around here in the industrial zone. I can just call a few workers. I won't use force, just scare them a little."
Sheng Ren did not answer immediately.
He looked up and gazed in the direction of the factory.
There is an alien who has a home but can't go back, and a boy who longs to find a home.
"Come on, let's go take a look."
