Simultaneous Time Travel: What Villain? I'm the Protagonist!
Chapter 20 Unexpected Gains
Deep in the universe, in a desolate star field, there are ruins everywhere, and the remaining images on the broken light monuments reveal the former glory of this place.
This is the core territory of the Gua Empire. In the great war 50,000 years ago, not only was the once invincible Gua Empire destroyed, but also this prosperous land.
Leo is undergoing special training here.
Sheng Ren floated in mid-air, looking down at Leo who was fighting the monsters.
Leo weaved through the ruins, his silver-red body standing out starkly against the dark gray rubble. His opponents were projections of the Gua Legion, created by Sheng Ren using the dark energy of this place; each member possessed abilities no less powerful than the Magma Legion.
"The seventeenth," Leo roared, delivering a flying kick that struck the afterimage squarely. The afterimage flew backward and landed heavily on the ground. Watching his opponent gradually dissipate, Leo's chest heaved violently.
"Time's up," Sheng Ren said as he slowly descended, the remaining thirteen afterimages vanishing instantly. "Not bad. From barely managing to handle one three days ago to now being able to take down seventeen in one go, you've made great progress."
Leo, panting heavily, straightened up: "Master, what's next in the training?"
"Next," Sheng Ren shook his head, his tone tinged with relief, "the rest of the training is just about getting some rest."
Seeing Leo's puzzled look, Sheng Ren explained, "Rest is also a form of cultivation. To cultivate well, to study well, to practice well, and to do the right thing at the right time—that is my cultivation."
Master Roshi's attitude towards training in Dragon Ball perfectly encapsulates the essence of cultivation: only through a balance of tension and relaxation can one attain true mastery.
Sheng Ren gestured for Leo to sit down, then found a hillside to lie down on, pondering the gains of the past few days.
It can be said that we gained nothing!
He took down several Gua Legion strongholds based on the intelligence agency's information, but they weren't just going to stand there and let him fight. When they realized they couldn't win, they simply hid. Now, even the Space Intelligence Agency can't find any clues about them.
The master and apprentice worked hard for several days but still came up empty-handed. So Shengren simply found this place to train Leo.
"Master, what are you thinking about?" Leo asked, looking at Sheng Ren who was deep in thought.
Looking at the ruins before him, Sheng Ren sighed helplessly, "I'm wondering where the Gua Legion went. We've been out for so long, and apart from the first few days, we haven't seen a trace of them."
"Perhaps they have already left this star system," Leo guessed. "If that's the case, we can only wait for news from the intelligence agency."
Leo was right what Sheng Ren was thinking, and once this group of people escaped to a more distant place, the intelligence agency would be helpless.
The technology of the Land of Light is immeasurably superior to that of Earth, with a detection range reaching billions of light-years. However, such a powerful detection range is still just a drop in the ocean compared to the vastness of the universe.
The universe is too vast. Unless it's a powerful being like King Oo... wait, Sheng Ren suddenly turned to look at Leo:
"Leo, does your family know the King of Ultra?"
Leo was taken aback by Sheng Ren's sudden question. He pondered for a moment and slowly nodded: "Yes, Master. The King of Ultra does indeed have a connection with our L77 Nebula. My father once met the King of Ultra, but the connection was very weak."
Is it very weak? Sheng Ren was a little disappointed, but thinking about it, it makes sense. How could a strong person of King Ao's level be seen so easily? This is only when the old man is very approachable. Otherwise, look at how aloof the other three who are on par with him are.
"Master, do you intend to ask the King of Ultra about the whereabouts of the Gua Legion?" Seeing that Sheng Ren did not deny it, Leo understood his meaning, but could only apologize.
"Never mind," he said, not disappointed. "Since we can't find them for the time being, I'll take you somewhere first, and we can meet someone there."
Sheng Ren stroked his chin, thinking about who Leo was going to meet next, and couldn't help but smile.
"Where are we going? Who are we seeing?" Leo asked curiously.
"Go to Earth, you'll find out who you'll meet when the time comes."
At the Earth Defense Force headquarters, the battle between Seven and King Joe has entered a fierce stage.
King Joe, the ultimate combat weapon created by the Pedan aliens, displayed overwhelming power. Its body was made of a special cosmic alloy, making it incredibly strong and powerful; Seven was pinned to the ground and unable to move.
"Damn it!" Seven struggled desperately, but still couldn't break free of his restraints. Although Seven was experienced in combat, he still seemed to be at a disadvantage against King Joe.
His Emerium Beam was easily blocked by King Joe, and his Ice Axe attack could only leave a few scratches on King Joe. Seven was already at his wit's end against this war machine.
"Ultraman Seven... is he going to lose?" Annu asked, trembling.
"No way!" the captain said firmly, "Ultraman Seven will definitely win!"
But the worry in his eyes betrayed his true feelings.
Just then, a red light flashed across the sky, and Leo, like a meteor, hurtled towards King Joe, sending him flying with a powerful kick and rescuing Seven.
Leo's sudden appearance surprised everyone.
Seven struggled to his feet, looked at the unfamiliar Leo, and asked in confusion, "Who are you?"
"I am Leo, from Nebula L77," Leo extended his hand to Seven, "Master Shengren sent me to support you."
"Brother Shengren," Seven shook hands with Leo, only realizing who he was when he heard this name.
At that moment, a deafening mechanical sound rang out, and the mighty King Joe lay on the ground, unable to get up, a scene that was both bizarre and comical.
Leo and Seven exchanged a glance, sensing that this was a rare opportunity.
Leo leaped high into the air, gathering all his strength in his legs. Seven clasped his hands above his head and threw a dart. The two forces struck King Joe simultaneously, and the powerful energy instantly obliterated the towering mountain. Dust billowed up, and the previously noisy mechanical sounds vanished in an instant.
"Great! Ultraman won!" A bright smile appeared on Annu's crescent-shaped face.
"What terrifying power," Captain Kiriyama exclaimed, looking at the earth-shattering force.
But before they could celebrate for long, King Joe's annoying, ringing mechanical noise started up again. As the dust settled, King Joe lay in the deep pit, the powerful attack having only left a slight crack in his outer shell.
Before anyone could react, King Joe, unable to get up, disintegrated and flew away with his shattered body!
The Ultra Guard stood frozen in place, while Leo and Seven exchanged glances, choosing not to attack rashly and instead flying away silently.
"Damn it, why did that Ultraman suddenly appear?" The Pedan alien inside the spaceship was furious.
"I brought him to visit relatives, is that not allowed?" The voice from behind made his heart tighten, and he quickly turned around but found no one behind him.
"I'm here," Sheng Ren said, sitting in the main seat in the middle, looking at the bewildered Pedan aliens.
It was at this moment that Pedan Starman finally saw Sheng Ren's face clearly, and a sense of fear immediately spread through him, his body trembling uncontrollably: "It's you!"
"It seems there's an unexpected bonus," Sheng Ren suddenly found it interesting.
The Ultra race is renowned throughout the universe, with figures like Father of Ultra, Zoffy, and the original Ultraman being household names. But Sheng Ren is different; he's like a bald demon king—not exactly famous, but practically unknown.
It wasn't that he wasn't willing to work; it's just that almost everyone who had seen him had turned to ashes, so how could he possibly spread his fame? But now, this Pedan alien clearly knows him, so how many monsters have seen him and are still alive?
It was like finding a needle in a haystack, only to have it come to you effortlessly. Sheng Ren looked at the trembling Pedan alien:
"Tell me, where are the Hipporito aliens?"
