Dragon Raja: Reboot

Chapter 8 The Little Devil Appears

Liu Miaomiao, who had been sitting quietly to the side with her knees pressed together, suddenly spoke up:

"Senior Chu Zihang also went to a joint program with the University of Chicago back then. Lu Mingfei, have you ever met Senior Chu?"

Lu Mingfei looked up, swallowed the pizza in his mouth, and carefully examined Liu Miaomiao.

Seeing Liu Miaomiao's evasive gaze, Lu Mingfei felt indignant.

Senior brother, how many romantic debts did you incur back then?

"The world is so big, and the University of Chicago has more than one affiliated university, right? How could it be such a coincidence?"

Someone quickly stepped in and smoothed things over with a laugh.

"I've met him," Lu Mingfei suddenly said. "Senior Brother Chu is from the same school as me, Kassel College. He's in the Mechanical Engineering department, and I'm in the History department. He takes good care of me and speaks very kindly. We all like him very much."

Who wouldn't like Chu Zihang?

This humble monk is a noble young master, powerful and handsome, yet warm-hearted on the inside. He has repeatedly extended a helping hand to him when he was weak and helpless, pulling him out of his predicament time and time again.

He also said he would leave the glory and future to himself, along with all his junior sisters, showing unparalleled loyalty.

No one ever promised him protection, but he felt from a young age that he had to take care of many people.

Despite his loneliness, he always warmed the hearts of others, as if he could draw strength from their happiness.

Liu Miaomiao's eyes suddenly lit up for a moment.

Zhao Menghua, who was sitting next to him, suddenly became a little uneasy.

Damn it, ever since this guy who turned his life around came along, everything seems to have changed. Even his girlfriend's attention has been focused on him.

He had certainly heard of Chu Zihang; in fact, he knew him by heart!

His father's friend's son was a few years older than him. He had been learning karate since elementary school and, according to his own boast, was the youngest black belt in China. However, he was easily defeated by Chu Zihang, who had been learning kendo for three years.

That person seems to be an all-rounder, able to excel at anything they learn.

For the three graduating classes of Shilan Middle School, Chu Zihang has always been a distant figure.

You've heard his name and seen him, but you don't remember what he looks like.

Because you rarely have the opportunity to get close to him.

At the graduation ceremony, he was the student representative speaking on behalf of the entire school, wearing a navy blue school uniform, looking down at his speech, his bangs obscuring his face; on the basketball court, he was a dominant center, driving to the basket for a one-handed dunk, waiting to land, while Chu Zihang had already turned back to the vicinity of the center line; at the Spring Festival Gala, Chu Zihang performed a cello solo, on an empty stage, he carried his cello case onto the stage, sat alone in the center and finished playing "Schindler's List", until he put the cello away, the teachers and students who were immersed in the mournful music realized that his performance was over, the whole audience stood up and applauded, someone shouted for an encore, Chu Zihang bowed and left the stage, leaving behind a tall and slender figure.

He is electricity, light, the only myth, and Lu Mingfei, the top of the "List of Those Who Deserve to Be Killed," is the only existence that cannot be surpassed!

Myths are myths because they have become gods.

"I need to use the restroom."

Looking at the private room that had lost its original atmosphere, Zhao Menghua breathed heavily, suddenly stood up, and walked out with a grim expression.

Liu Miaomiao's expression tightened, and she got up and followed him out.

The atmosphere suddenly became somewhat oppressive and somber.

Everyone fell silent without prior arrangement, looking at each other in bewilderment.

Lu Mingfei seemed oblivious, and simply stood up and pulled the lobster pizza that the waiter had just brought over in front of him.

The aroma of melted cheese wafted in, lifting Lu Mingfei's spirits—definitely not because Zhao Menghua nearly slammed the table and stormed off.

He's here to cause trouble and, incidentally, to support Chen Wenwen.

Although the two eventually got together, and although this silly girl still loved Zhao Menghua in the end, today, this girl will have her last mask torn off and experience just how humble one can be when loving someone.

His presence would prevent her from being all alone and lonely; at least he would be there to draw fire for her.

This is the limit of what he can do.

There's no way around it. Once a girl has her eye on a guy, you can't pull her back even if you lead eight horses. She'll go to the ends of the earth for him, and she can forgive all your mistakes in just one night, even if you've hurt her deeply. She'll still greet you with a smile. Like that girl named Rika Akana, she left with a smile, but the next moment she was sobbing uncontrollably. Yet, when they met again, she would still show the same sweet smile, wishing the newlyweds a long and happy life together…

Even if you're watching anxiously from the sidelines, feeling sorry for her, and questioning why she puts herself in such a lowly position.

But she won't answer you; she'll only look at the boy she likes with anticipation until she falls into the abyss, at which point she'll drag her wounded body away.

Love is such a damn, fucking thing.

Both men and women can become as humble as dust.

The already oppressive and somber atmosphere in the private room eased slightly after Chen Wenwen got up and left, and everyone began to talk quietly to each other.

But in an instant, that oppressive feeling returned.

Everyone looked at Lu Mingfei, who suddenly lowered his head, with fear on their faces.

A strange sense of oppression arose, and a sadness seemed to emanate from him. This emotion directly affected them, and tears streamed down their cheeks, even though they didn't know what they were sad about.

Lu Mingfei remained silent.

Whether it was Chen Wenwen back then or Chen Wenwen now, she always has someone by her side; she is not alone.

Even if Zhao Menghua cruelly announces his engagement to Liu Miaomiao in front of her, at least she will still stand behind her and support her.

What about Riri?

The sorrow welling up from the bottom of his heart suddenly turned into rage, and this inexplicable anger was not directed at others, but at himself.

He raised his head, and a flash of crimson gold appeared in his pupils. Everyone's heart stopped for a moment, wondering if they were hallucinating, but the fear that came from their bloodline enveloped everyone.

"I need to use the restroom too."

After briefly suppressing his anger, Lu Mingfei wearily got up and walked out of the private room with heavy steps.

After he left the private room, the crowd began to whisper among themselves.

After the legendary figure went out and saw the dazzling world, he still remained loyal to the artistic girl Chen Wenwen.

What a moving and inspiring love story!

Lu Mingfei walked towards the restroom with his hands in his pockets and his head down.

He knew that his emotions were very unstable and that he could lose control at any moment.

To conceal the supreme heart within this body that is still within the realm of ordinary people, he must constantly maintain self-suppression.

But whenever he thought of that girl, sadness overwhelmed his defenses like a tidal wave.

He suddenly turned his head to look out the window. In the distance were tall buildings, a blue sky, and birds soaring among the white clouds.

Maybe……

I should go to Tokyo.

I just watched from afar, observing whether that girl was doing well.

"Brother, why are you suddenly so sad and angry? I can sense that this emotion isn't because of Chen Wenwen. So what exactly are you sad and angry about? Is it your pitiful and blank love history?"

The sudden sound pulled Lu Mingfei into another world.

The straight corridor beneath my feet suddenly curved like a twisted rope, or seemed to be folded in an instant.

The impeccably dressed little devil stood at the other end of the corridor, waving to him.
