Dragon Raja: Reboot

Chapter 185 God Did Not Say That

Chapter 182 God Did Not Say That

Is this what dragons are like?!

Despite being used as a blood sacrifice for over a decade, it revived less than an hour after being freed.

What an incredible life form!

However, not every dragon possesses such incredible self-healing abilities...

Judging from this, this guy must be a Dragon King-level creature.

There is a special course at the main campus. The time and place of the class are unpredictable and depend entirely on the mood of the lecturer. Naturally, only the president and vice president of the entire school can be so high-profile.

The instructor for this course is the vice principal.

One day, when he was drunk, he would put his arm around a female student in a swimsuit and give a passionate lecture by the pool. Chu Zihang was fortunate enough to pass by and listen in once.

During that lecture, the vice principal said that the four monarchs possessed different powers. For example, the king of earth and mountains was considered to have the "strongest power," while the king of bronze and fire was known as the "alchemy throne." The king of the ocean and water was the "incarnation of immortality," and the king of the sky and wind was the most mysterious.

In response to this, he specifically asked Xia Mi, who then revealed to him the four characteristics of the four monarchs.

The sky and wind are seen as the embodiment of divine power, high above; the earth and mountains are the manifestation of royal power; bronze and fire symbolize war; and finally, the ocean and water correspond to the immortality of the dragon race.

Such a powerful and vigorous life force... Could this be the egg of the king of the ocean and water?

Chu Zihang frowned. He had to find something to seal the egg as soon as possible, otherwise the tragedy of the Lenin would be repeated!

The best way would be to seal it in liquid nitrogen at -200 degrees Celsius, as the low temperature would inhibit its activity, but current conditions do not allow for this.

Chu Zihang drew his holy sword and tentatively thrust it into the core.

If the person behind the scenes can kill the embryo inside the egg and make it a blood sacrifice, then he can do the same.

He doesn't need to kill the egg completely; he only needs to force it back into slumber the moment it awakens, until a suitable container is found to store it.

The long, alchemical sword that the woman had mentioned, used for chopping wood, slowly pierced the core. A violent throbbing came from beneath the blade, seemingly a final struggle to stop the sword from penetrating.

It gradually fell silent.

Chu Zihang slowly exhaled; his guess was correct.

He looked again at the distant horizon, the sea breeze blowing against his face, the sound of the waves never ceasing; they had to get ashore as soon as possible.

Previously, Genji had mentioned that the Snake Clan's reinforcements would arrive soon, and they could not go to the nearest port; they would have to take a detour.

Chu Zihang turned around and rummaged through the cabin, finding a simple map. After roughly confirming the sea area they were in, he began searching for nearby ports.

Chu Zihang pondered. If he remembered correctly, the headquarters had a safe harbor in Chizuru Town, which was also a secret transit station.

The headquarters has established hundreds of safe havens around the world. Sometimes they are used to transship certain illicit goods, but more often they are idle. If an agent encounters danger while operating abroad, he can go to the safe haven for refuge.

The safe harbor will buy the commissioner valuable time, during which Norma will allocate resources to organize a rescue.

Before coming to Japan, Norma prepared a special edition of the "Action Manual" for them, reminding them of various things to pay attention to in Japan, including this safe haven.

They can go there to contact headquarters, but it's unclear whether they are still safe.

Putting down the map, Chu Zihang changed course. He glanced back at the sleeping Caesar and couldn't help but frown.

Seeing the future in dreams?

……

……

Early morning, Kassel College main campus, hilltop campus.

The century-old maple tree was shrouded in a hazy, smoky green, and new, tender buds sprouted from its bare branches.

Spring has arrived in Illinois; the cold springs on the mountaintops are melting, and the rushing sound of waterfalls cascading down can be faintly heard.

"This is the best season," the vice principal always said affectionately about spring. "Spring drowsiness, autumn fatigue, summer naps, and the three coldest days of winter when you can't wake up."

In short, he believed that spring was a beautiful season, suitable for rest and recuperation, and therefore strongly suggested at the school affairs meeting that class time be postponed by half an hour in the beautiful spring.

Unexpectedly, the proposal was unanimously approved by the department head and all committees. The reason given was that the proposal had no vested interest in the vice-chancellor, since this old fellow never taught or instructed anyone. This showed that it was purely the vice-chancellor's heartfelt concern for the faculty, and they could not waste the vice-chancellor's rare goodwill.

Therefore, the Kassel campus is most tranquil in spring, with a fairytale-like atmosphere.

The morning mist, like a thin white veil, permeated every corner of the campus. Taking a deep breath in the warm air, the fragrance of grass and trees invigorated the spirit and was very helpful in relieving hangovers.

He was a dedicated principal, and he was the first faculty member to cross the campus to go to work every morning.

For over a century, patrolling this campus every morning has given me a sense of accomplishment, much like an old lion surveying its territory.

His Maserati sports car was parked in front of the small building, and the lawn was neatly trimmed, which made Angers very satisfied.

This morning was as quiet as any morning in the past hundred years.

He took out a bronze key from his bag and inserted it into the lock... then suddenly froze.

The building entrance was unlocked.

This small building serves as the principal's office and private library. Only Angers and the Night Watchmen possess the key. The alchemically crafted lock looks ordinary, but it is guarded by living spirits inside. There aren't many thieves in this world who can open it; they would need at least an "A+" rank bloodline.

It couldn't be the vice principal either; the old guy was the one who drank brandy with Angers all night.

Angers paused for a second, then pulled a folding knife from his bag.

He slowly pushed open the door, casually placed his bag on the cabinet to his left, took off his coat, opened the cabinet, hung it on the hanger, and calmly walked upstairs.

Faint laughter and conversation could be heard coming from upstairs, and the atmosphere even seemed quite harmonious.

Damn, are thieves this bold and brazen these days?

It's the season without falling leaves. The skylight is wide open, letting in sunlight and morning mist, bathing the stairwell in a pale gold glow. Two or three squirrels are perched at the window, peering down.

Angers raised an eyebrow. These little creatures lived in the hollow of the big pine tree on the west side of the building. They were unusually alert. Usually, they would climb up and down the bookshelves of the building with abandon, but if a stranger approached, they would disappear in a flash.

There were at least two intruders upstairs, but the squirrels weren't afraid of them. Why? Were they acquaintances?

On the table under the skylight on the top floor, wisps of steam rose, carrying the aroma of black tea—Angers' favorite box of "Lapsang Souchong".

Inside, two people were sitting. An uninvited guest, dressed in a white suit, was comfortably leaning back in his chair, drinking tea with his legs crossed and wearing exquisite handmade crocodile leather shoes.

Another... priest?

Angers was taken aback.

The two burglars seemed completely oblivious to the homeowner's arrival, as they were enthusiastically feeding the squirrels and exchanging pleasantries with each other.

Angers coughed softly.

"Hey! Angers! How long has it been?" The handsome thief turned around and greeted him, his face full of the joy of "reuniting with an old friend".

Angers remained silent, repeatedly scrutinizing the thief's face.

This was an exceptionally handsome man, with long golden hair, sea-blue eyes, a high-bridged nose, and a very masculine mustache. He wore frameless glasses, had a strong and perfectly sculpted physique, and his skin was a healthy tan from years of training in the sun and sea breeze. His wide-open collar revealed his perfectly shaped pectoral muscles...

It must be admitted that Caesar was remarkably similar to his father in this respect.

Pompeii Gattuso, a man whose views on relationships were so terrible that even the vice principal would be ashamed of himself.

Even so, many women still chase after him all over the world, just to see him running on the beach with a surfboard between his legs.

"And who is this?" Angers looked at the priest sitting next to Pompeii.

"This is Bishop Mei!" The man put his arm around the priest's shoulder, looking at him with an expression that said, "We're very familiar with each other."

The priest, with a relaxed smile, gently pried the claws off his shoulder one by one, then looked behind Angers: "Nice to meet you, Principal Angers. Is my little Leonardo still asleep?"

Ange's pupils contracted instantly.

"Oh!" Pompeii exclaimed in surprise, "Sir Bishop, do you still recognize our dear Vice-Principal?"

"It was a beautiful encounter by the lake," the priest said with a smile.

Angers' gaze was fixed on the middle-aged man in front of him; his real age was dozens of times greater than he appeared!

Pompeii, that fool, didn't know his identity, but Angers astutely deduced it from his clothing and the way he addressed the Night's Watch.

The "last Semitic" mentioned by the vice principal claims to have faced the unknown existence of God!

"Please wait a moment, I'll have someone urge that lazy fellow on your behalf." Angers put away his folding knife, sat down opposite the two men, and dialed the phone with a smile.

"Hello, is this Professor Manstein? Could you please go to the attic and find the vice-principal? Tell him that a guest he's been waiting for for many years has finally arrived and is in the principal's office."

Angers hung up the phone, picked up the teacup in front of him, took a small sip, and found the temperature and texture to be just right.

Pompeii thoughtfully poured him a full cup of rich black tea in advance, even though it was his own tea leaves that he was being served.

"Are you here to visit Leonardo?" Angers asked tentatively with a smile.

"I've come to take him to a ceremony." The priest's smile remained unchanged, but his tone carried a hint of regret. "I don't know many people in this world anymore. It's rare to find someone I'm related to, so I thought I'd take him to broaden his horizons. History always needs witnesses."

Angers solemnly asked, "May I ask what kind of festival it is? Would you mind having one more guest?"

"Principal Angers is also interested?" the priest said with a smile. "But I imagine that even without my invitation, you would still be a part of this festival."

Angers' gaze sharpened slightly as he asked, "The festival... could it be in Japan?"

"Truly perceptive," the priest exclaimed. "No wonder your school produces such outstanding students."

"Angers, he's talking about my son!" The man, eager to join the conversation, interjected, beaming. "The bishop speaks so highly of my son! I envy me for having such a wonderful son!"

"Oh? You've met Caesar?" Angers asked.

"I've seen it twice, and the first time is still fresh in my memory," the priest said with emotion. "In all my years of missionary work, this is the first time I've encountered someone who dared to set fire to my church."

Angers looked blankly toward Caesar's father standing to the side.

"Well, you know, every boy has an unforgettable rebellious phase." Pompeii shrugged, glossing over it casually.

"That was at his mother's funeral. Overall, he was actually a kind but stubborn child, fighting against the world around him in solitude. The fault wasn't his; it was his parents'." The priest thought for a moment and then added, "Otherwise, I would have sent him to apologize to God."

Angers secretly wiped away his sweat. "I wonder which church the bishop lives in. I'd like to visit him sometime. I was a devout believer when I was young."

"I changed jobs a few years ago," the priest said seriously. "The world is so big, I want to see it too. Speaking of which, I've recently become very interested in Buddhism. Principal Angers, would you be interested in studying it together?"

"I'm also very interested in Buddhism!" Pompeii jumped up excitedly. "I recently went to XZ to participate in a Tibetan Buddhist spiritual journey, but unfortunately my silly younger brother interrupted it."

Seeing the man's indignant expression, Angers bluntly exposed him: "A spiritual journey? You mean that symposium discussing dual cultivation and blissful meditation?"

"Angers, how did you know? Are you a member too?" Pompeii asked with delight, as if he had found a kindred spirit.

Take a deep breath.

"You bastard, what are you doing here instead of rolling around in bed with some supermodel?" Angers said coldly.

"Do you even need to ask? Of course it's because my son has gone missing," Pompeii sighed. "To be honest, I've never attended his parent-teacher conferences before, and this is the first time I've come for something like this. It's really heartbreaking."

"But I thought it would be Frost Gattuso, not Pompeii Gattuso." Angers looked directly into Pompeii's eyes, a slightly provocative expression on his face. "Are you and Caesar really that close?"

Pompeii Gattuso.

Cesare Gattuso's father, and the current head of the Gattuso family.

Frost's seat on the Board of Trustees was actually his, but because he wandered the world so much, it was difficult to get meeting notices to him.

And Frost was indeed a strongman, except that he had some trouble getting along with people in Angers...

He spent ten years sidelining Pompeii, seizing control of the family business, and making it thrive.

It's hard to imagine what the Gattuso family would be like without Frost.

As it stands, the next head of the family, Caesar Gattuso, is of the same lineage as the current head, Pompeii Gattuso, and has even surpassed him.

"There's absolutely no problem with our father-son relationship. I gave him a Bugatti Veyron signed by a designer for his birthday," Pompeii said confidently. "He's just going through a rebellious phase, and eventually he'll realize I'm a good dad."

"Hehe, a good father wouldn't skip his wife's funeral to chase after an international supermodel," the priest said with a chuckle.

Angers was taken aback and asked, "Are you acquainted with the Gattuso family?"

"We weren't close; I just happened to be invited to officiate at the funeral of Kaiser Gulweg's mother."

"Oh, that's a sad thing to say," Pompeii said sadly. "I thought we were already best friends who could talk about anything. Besides, my son's name is Caesar Gattuso."

"Sorry, I'm allergic to scumbags," the priest said tactfully.

"Don't say that. God said that nine out of ten men are scumbags, and the remaining one is the worst of the worst. It's just that they don't have my outstanding qualities."

Pompeii tried hard to prove that he was no different from the masses.

The only thing that distinguishes him from the masses is the stinking amount of money in his household.

The priest declared righteously, "Although he was my ex, I still want to speak up for him. God never said that!"
