Dragon Raja: Reboot

Chapter 166 Dream Person

Chapter 163 Dream Person

"Hi! Mimasaku!"

"Are you... calling me?"

Caesar smiled and took Genjiro's hand.

That sincere smile and firm handshake made it impossible for Genjiro to refuse, but the way he addressed him was unacceptable to him.

Chu Zihang extended his hand expressionlessly: "Hello, I'm Hua Ze Lei."

Amidst the lingering wind, Genji looked somewhat disheveled. "You guys... are you playing a game?"

He could only force himself to understand it that way. The intimidating scene he had imagined did not appear. The temporary commissioner showed familiarity with him as soon as he got off the plane, as if to say, "Mimasaka, it's me, Daodao. I missed you so much."

"No, no, no, this is our name in Japan." After spending a minute persuading Chu Zihang to accept his new identity, Caesar proudly showed his passport to Genji.

The above is a fake passport made by the academy. The name next to Caesar's headshot is "Daoming Si", and Chu Zihang is "Hanazawa Rui".

"Where's Simon?" Genji couldn't help but ask.

"Souji is still on his way and is expected to arrive in Japan the day after tomorrow." Domyouji patted him on the shoulder, exuding the smugness and composure of an older brother. "The four of us brothers will eventually be reunited, Mimasaka, don't worry!"

I'm not worried about you at all!

Genji's anger flared. He wondered what kind of person the temporary commissioner from headquarters would be. What could you expect from a spoiled brat from the board of directors? But he never expected that this guy was not only a spoiled brat, but also a crazy person who sang and danced!

"Oh, is it Sakura?" Caesar let him go, turned around and went to the girl, handing her the prepared gift.

Genji was startled. How did this guy know about Sakura?

Information obtained from headquarters? Headquarters would casually give students information about current executive staff? Or is it a privilege reserved for the heirs of the board of directors' families?

He frowned, said nothing, but mentally marked Caesar with a big checkmark after labeling him a "spoiled brat."

After giving Sakura the small gift, Caesar seemed to remember something and turned back.

He snatched the cigarette from Genji's hand and tossed it into the sea breeze, then slapped a cigar in an aluminum tube into his palm: "Stop smoking that 'goddess' cigarette, try this."

He definitely has the persona of an older brother.

He pulled his suitcase onto the car, leaned out the window, and shouted, "Go go go! I have a feeling this trip will be even more exciting than an American blockbuster!"

Genjiro and Sakura exchanged a glance, got into the car, and Genjiro, sitting in the driver's seat, said coldly: "I am Genjiro, a graduate of the 2003 class of the Kassel College advanced training program. Welcome to Japan."

"I know, I know." Caesar waved his hand, sitting in the car looking around restlessly like a naughty child, as if waiting for something.

"What are you looking at?" Chu Zihang asked.

"Of course we're waiting for the police."

"police?"

"Aren't we here on a mission to save Japan? That's how it's always portrayed in blockbuster movies, where the local police always mistake us for evil criminals and launch into a thrilling chase."

Caesar responded absentmindedly.

He was waiting for the police cars that had appeared in his dream to surround and arrest him.

Genjiro frowned and said coldly, "I'm sorry, this is Japan, our territory, so we won't..."

"Attention, occupants of the black Hummer! We are Kanagawa Prefectural Police. You are suspected of violent crime. Stop immediately for inspection! Drop your weapons!"

The amplified sound swept across the salt flats like a whirlwind.

On the highway not far away, large swathes of police lights lit up, their lights forming a dense, continuous network, while sirens roared deafeningly.

Apart from Caesar, the other three stared blankly as fully armed police officers used the car doors as shields, aiming their guns and surrounding them from all sides.

"Reality is always more absurd than movies." Caesar sat calmly in the back row, a smile on his face, exuding the composed and authoritative aura of an elder brother.

……

……

"Tonight is going to be exciting." Caesar walked into the presidential suite.

They had just gone through a police chase with Genjiro, which was even more thrilling than a movie.

Upon entering the house, Caesar scrutinized it with the discerning eye of a wealthy young man.

"Is this Asahina Mikuru?" Caesar went to the third bedroom and came back with a large body pillow as tall as a person tucked under his arm. The breasts of the beautiful girl dressed as a maid on the pillow were almost spilling out.

"...Where did it come from?" Chu Zihang asked.

"The last bedroom, if I'm not mistaken, should be prepared for Lu Mingfei." Caesar stood in the doorway and tossed the cushion back.

He explored the entire suite and confirmed that the three bedrooms were exactly the same as those in his dream.

He himself lived in a European-style room, Chu Zihang's room was furnished with solid wood furniture, and the last room, which belonged to the third member of the team, Lu Mingfei, had an anime girl body pillow and a large-screen computer. Whenever the TV was turned on, there were new anime series with Chinese subtitles.

Caesar stood under the crystal chandelier, stroking his chin in deep thought.

From what we've seen so far, almost everything that has happened and been encountered is exactly the same as in the dream.

Of course, there is no difference.

Logically, Lu Mingfei should also be present, and he would be the team's professional critic, but in reality, he's currently on vacation in China...

What concerned Caesar most were the two people who appeared in this dream: Genjiro and Sakura.

He had never met Genjiro and Sakura, but their faces in his dream were exactly the same as in reality, which could not be explained by "coincidence".

So it seems that this is indeed a dream that foretells the future, but what is the underlying principle?

If he were an ordinary person, he would naturally think this was a divine revelation. The Gattuso family donates a lot of money to the church every year. If it weren't for their inherited dragon blood and understanding of the true nature of the world, those ancestors who danced ballet and wielded submachine guns would have long since converted to God.

But the problem is that he is of mixed race.

The world of dragons has never been scientific.

Caesar could only think of the power of words, but what kind of words could predict the future...?

【prophet】!

Chu Zihang clearly saw Caesar's eyes light up, like a big light bulb. Of course, in reality, he just raised his head, and his ocean-like eyes reflected the light from the crystal chandelier above him.

He thought the guy seemed a bit strange today.

Based on his understanding of Caesar, he should now be pouring champagne, raising a glass, and giving a passionate mobilization speech to wish the mission a successful conclusion.

But Caesar was now standing under the chandelier, lost in thought.

Is it because you're all alone here right now?

"If only my junior brother were here," Chu Zihang thought, "after all, my junior brother is a master at warming up the atmosphere."

"I'm tired, I'm going to sleep now. We can talk about it tomorrow!"

Chu Zihang watched as Caesar rushed excitedly into the bedroom and closed the door tightly.

He sat down on the sofa in the living room, rested his chin on his hands, and pondered Caesar's unusual behavior earlier that day.

He still felt that there was something strange about this guy that he couldn't quite put his finger on.

The phone suddenly rang.

Chu Zihang took out his phone and glanced at it. The caller ID showed Lu Mingfei. A thought struck him. This guy had disappeared since the end of the speech, and now he was finally going to show up?

"Oh my! Senior Brother Hua, did you miss me?"

A carefree voice came from the other end of the phone, with the heavy sound of ocean waves in the background.

Chu Zihang really wanted to ask this guy where he got the information from, since he immediately called him "Senior Brother Hua," but he knew he couldn't let a lunatic lead him astray; he already had enough experience.

The senior brother Yuan, who seemed to be a decisive and efficient person, was successfully led astray by Caesar and dragged into an area he was not good at, and was eventually easily defeated.

"Where are you? Why is there such a loud sound of waves?"

"I had no choice. The academy said I had to be smuggled into Japan, so I had to swim across from China."

At first, his junior brother looked aggrieved, but then suddenly became excited. Even through the phone, Chu Zihang could imagine his junior brother's beaming face.

"I plan to swim from Pingtan to Taiwan, and then from Taiwan to Japan. Don't worry, you'll definitely see my face by your bedside the day after tomorrow morning!"

Chu Zihang remained silent for a moment.

Pingtan is the closest city on the mainland to Taiwan, only 68 nautical miles away, or more than 100 kilometers away.

But who in their right mind would think of swimming from Pingtan to Taiwan?

In this guy's journey, Taiwan is just a transit point; his destination is Japan, and the distance from Taiwan to Japan is ten times that from Pingtan to Taiwan.

Traveling over a thousand kilometers?

Besides, he didn't want to see this guy by his bedside.

"You can't come to Japan with your real identity, but that doesn't say you can't go to Taiwan. Why don't you take a plane or boat to Taiwan first, and then swim from Taiwan to Japan?"

He attempted to deeply immerse himself in the role of Lu Mingfei, then analyzed it and put forward relevant feasible suggestions.

There was silence on the other end of the phone, as if they were amazed by their senior's intelligence.

"...It seems so," the junior brother replied weakly.

"We plan to go to sea the day after tomorrow, taking a deep-sea submersible down to the Arctic Ocean, which is eight kilometers deep. What are your thoughts on that?" Chu Zihang took the opportunity of this phone call to bring up this question.

"Senior brother, you're going to go into business?!" Lu Mingfei exclaimed in shock. "Won't junior sister be heartbroken if she hears this?"

Chu Zihang picked at his ear expressionlessly.

Some people are always tirelessly trying to drag others into a world equal to their own, which can be described as relentless in ruining people.

"Just kidding. I haven't seen you in so long and I missed you, so I couldn't help but joke with you," Lu Mingfei chuckled. "Going into the sea is nothing to be afraid of. I'll find a few people to go with you. Don't worry, I'll make sure everything is arranged perfectly. My junior sister won't be left alone!"

"...What do you mean?" Chu Zihang asked in a deep voice, "You're not coming with us?"

"Of course not," Lu Mingfei said innocently. "I'm going to find my wife. Actually, I have thalassophobia, and besides, the seabed is too dangerous. If we encounter danger, there's no way to run away. Senior brother, you can't drag me along to my death, can you? If I die, my wife will be angry, and if she's angry, half of Tokyo will be gone."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Chu Zihang finally couldn't hold back, his noodles twitching.

"Enough talk, get ready to go into the water! By the way, Senior Brother, have you seen Mei Zuo?" Lu Mingfei suddenly asked.

"...How do you even know about Mimasaka?"

"Isn't Mei Zuo the only one missing from this F4? If you see him tomorrow, please say hello to him for me, and then apologize to him for me."

"Apologize?"

"Hmm... Remember to be sincere. I really meant it when I apologized to him." Lu Mingfei said in a serious tone.

Chu Zihang was silent for a moment: "What happened in your previous life? Did you owe him something?"

"Ahem, it has nothing to do with the previous life, it's purely a personal grudge in this life." Lu Mingfei coughed. "I'm not going to say anything more, let's get ready to go into the sea. You and the boss can go into the sea without worry, just treat it as an underwater sightseeing trip."

"Is Xia Mi's brother still with you?" Chu Zihang suddenly asked.

"Shouldn't you call him brother-in-law?" Lu Mingfei retorted.

"..." Chu Zihang was completely embarrassed, and this time he was really speechless.

"He can't come to Japan for the time being, and neither can Xia Mi," Lu Mingfei said in a low voice. "The big fish hasn't been caught yet. We have to wait until the fish is in the net before we start pulling it in slowly. Only then will our helpers come from all directions. Until then, we need to fight alone, using ourselves as bait."

"Then who is the fish? The Wind King we met on the train, or Loki? Or perhaps... the White King?" Chu Zihang asked.

"I don't know." The junior brother's answer was as concise and forceful as ever. He said fiercely, "I don't care what kind of fish it is. This time, every single one that dares to get into the net will be caught! I'm going to wipe them all out!"

……

……

Deep in the mountains, torrential rain pounded on the roof of the shrine, and the raindrops falling from the eaves drew beautiful arcs.

The cherry blossoms in the garden fell like rain, resembling a poignant and beautiful snowfall.

Men dressed in black, with short swords tucked in white sheaths at their waists, passed under the charred torii gate. Their steps were perfectly synchronized as they walked up the cherry blossom-strewn stone steps, stopped at the vermilion stone wall in front of the main hall, bowed deeply three times, and then opened up to form two separate passageways.

Next to enter the shrine were seven people carrying paper umbrellas. They were dressed in formal kimonos, with solemn and dignified expressions. The men wore black montsuke haori, and the women wore black tomesode. They wore white socks and wooden clogs, and their eyes were fixed straight ahead, their steps extremely steady.

As they passed through the charred torii gate, the men who had led the way bowed deeply, saying nothing, as solemnly as if it were a funeral.

The seven people also bowed deeply in front of the vermilion stone wall. The silver-haired old man at the head lit three incense sticks and placed them in front of the stone wall, the smoke dissipating in the rain.

After the seven people entered the main hall, the rest of the group began to pour into the shrine one after another. They silently took their seats in an orderly fashion, bowing deeply before the stone wall and then placing their umbrellas in front of the main hall. The black umbrellas piled up densely, resembling a large flock of crows.

This is the family's meeting.

"Master, all attendees have arrived. A total of four hundred and forty people are here." The secretary in black presented the roster to the silver-haired old man. "Please take a look, Mr. Masamune."

"Where's Chisei? What's the point of the meeting without him?" Mr. Masamune said calmly, looking at the only empty seat in the room. "Where are Yasha, Crow, and Chisei?"

The crow, kneeling in the back row, stepped forward: "The young master has been here for quite some time, constantly patrolling the area to ensure the safety of all the family heads. He may not yet have received news that everyone has arrived. Yaksha and I will go and inform him now!"

Having said that, the crow slowly and deliberately withdrew from the main hall.

Being rushed in this situation will only leave the elders with the impression that the young master is unreliable. If the people serving the young master are so unreliable, it will undoubtedly tarnish the young master's reputation.

After leaving the main hall, he quickened his pace and hurried towards the boss. The whole "surveying the surroundings" thing was nonsense; it was purely his own intelligence and quick thinking.

Large raindrops shattered against the glass, and from the mountaintop, Tokyo appeared hazy, like a scene shrouded in mist.

The main hall behind the main hall was dark. Genji sat by the window, drinking a bottle of 18-year-old Yamazaki whisky and staring blankly at the rain outside.

"Boss, boss, everyone's here, just waiting for you to get in!" Crow whispered as he approached him.

"Hmm." Genjiro's gaze was still fixed on the window as he gave a casual reply.

He suddenly turned around and asked the crow, "Crow, what is your real name?"

"My real name? Ryuji Saeki, I guess." Crow scratched his head. He was used to being part of the family, and everyone called him Crow. Apart from his father, no one called him by his real name. He had almost forgotten it himself.

"I'm so sorry I've never asked your name after knowing you for so long." Genji remained silent for a long time. "Ryuji-kun, if you had the chance, would you be willing to leave this city and go to a city where you can live out your days in seclusion?"

"Huh?" the crow exclaimed, wide-eyed. "Young Master, you're not planning to kick me out, are you?"

"No, I just want to know what you think."

"Of course not," Raven replied without hesitation. "Where could I go if I leave Tokyo? Back to my hometown, right? I don't want to see my father. Besides, young master, you're all here. What would it look like if I left alone?"

"I see..." Genji said softly, "I understand. Go ahead, I'll be right there."

"Okay!" Although he felt that his boss was acting strangely, the crow still stumbled and ran outside.

At these family gatherings, everyone present is of higher status than him and Yaksha. If he and Yaksha were to leave, they would disappear without a trace, and they might be punished.

After the door was closed, the crow peeked through the crack again. Genji was still sitting alone by the window, his back exuding a sense of loneliness, not towards any particular person, but towards the whole world.

The crow sighed softly.

Inside the room, Genji slowly gripped the hilt of the knife, pouring the remaining wine from the bottle onto the blade, which gleamed with a cold, azure light.

The inscription on the knife reads, "The fierce spiders lurk in the mountains at night."

He suddenly wanted to kill someone from his dream.

"Boom!"

The thunder in the deep mountains was particularly loud. Outside the French windows, a violent storm raged, and lightning snaked through the dark clouds. A fleeting flash of lightning cast two shadows on the floor inside the house.

Personally, I think the highlight of these chapters lies in Caesar's information gap regarding the future, which also helps to develop Caesar's character. I quite like Caesar. Of course, I'm not sure if you consider this filler, but some parts still need to be included, such as the meeting between Caesar, Chu Zihang, and Genjiro. I definitely skipped the part where they were surrounded by the police, but the characters' interactions or certain specific plot points still need to be included, even after the major alterations.

All I can say is that, under these circumstances, I'll update as much as I can to speed up the transitional storyline.

So there will be one more chapter tonight.
