Xiu Gou's Taming Record

Chapter 105 A Woman's Intuition

The game continued, and the wheel spun several more times.

Shen Yueling leaned against the sofa armrest, her eyes on the turntable, but her mind wasn't on it.

Bai Xinran had returned from the bathroom, her wisps of hair on her nose and forehead were a little damp, as if she had just splashed cold water on her face.

She sat back down in her original spot and covered her legs with the blanket again.

Shen Yueling had a strange feeling in her heart. From the moment they met today, her gaze was on Yu Heng, and she felt that there was something wrong between him and Bai Xinran.

They were upstairs just now, they definitely weren't talking about the live stream.

Moreover, just as Bai Xinran got up to go to the bathroom, almost as soon as she closed the door, she saw Yu Heng pick up his phone to reply to a message.

Ning Yutong's laughter rang out, and Shen Yueling looked over.

She was hugging her knees, her eyes crinkling into crescents.

When she smiled, she would always glance at Yu Heng without realizing it.

Every time it was Yu Heng's turn to speak, she would listen very attentively.

Qin Lu sat diagonally opposite Yu Heng, holding a glass of water in her hand and sipping it slowly.

She maintained a polite, faint smile on her face and would occasionally speak up to maintain order.

Once, Yu Heng told a dirty joke. She was drinking water with her head down and choked. Qin Ya went over and patted her mother's back.

Her eyes darted between Yu Heng and Qin Lu, as if she were enjoying watching the drama unfold.

These people all had something on their minds.

Only the newly joined members are truly focused on playing the game.

Shen Yueling suddenly stood up, and Zhou Mengqi and Wang Luyu next to her both looked up at her.

"I'm going to the restroom," she said calmly, offering what she considered an explanation.

"There are both upstairs and downstairs." Yu Heng looked up at her.

Shen Yueling hummed in agreement, but instead of going upstairs, she walked towards the place where Bai Xinran had just gone in.

Why do we have to use this?

She couldn't explain it; it was just a gut feeling.

Or rather, it's a feeling of needing to verify something.

Turn the doorknob, go inside, and close the door behind you.

The bathroom was very clean, but there were still some wet stains on the sink.

Shen Yueling walked to the sink, turned on the faucet, and let the water flow.

Her gaze swept across the bathroom, but nothing seemed amiss.

She turned off the tap, took a paper towel to dry her hands, and her gaze fell on the small white cabinet door under the sink. As if possessed, she squatted down and opened the cabinet door.

There was a crumpled tissue in the corner. Shen Yueling reached out and carefully picked it out with two fingers.

The tissue was tightly wadled and quite heavy, so she peeled it apart layer by layer.

Ah, of course she knows what it is.

So, Bai Xinran didn't come to make a phone call at all.

She came in to take this out.

What about Yu Heng?

Does Yu Heng know?

This question seems somewhat redundant.

He definitely knew, and it's very likely that he was the one who made it happen.

Shen Yueling turned on the tap, washed her hands again, then opened the door and went out.

-

We played the game a few more times.

Qin Lu stood up twice during this time: once to go to the kitchen to boil water, and once to go to the balcony to answer a phone call.

When she returned from the second phone call, she looked unwell, her brows were slightly furrowed, and she remained silent for a long time after sitting back down.

Yu Heng glanced at her but didn't ask anything.

Qin Ya whispered something in her mother's ear, and Qin Lu shook her head and touched her daughter's hair.

At 10:30 p.m., the lively atmosphere in the living room subsided a little.

Some people started yawning, while others took out their phones to scroll through.

"Want to play again?" Hao Junran asked.

"That's about enough," Yu Heng glanced at the time, "Let's call it a day!"

Yu Heng stood up and stretched: "Those who want to sleep can go upstairs and find their own rooms. If you want to do anything else, don't stay out too late."

People began to get up one after another.

The girls went upstairs together to look at the rooms, while some of the boys stayed behind to play games, and others followed them up.

Qin Lu helped tidy up the coffee table, and Qin Ya followed beside her to help.

When Bai Xinran stood up, her legs seemed a little weak. She held onto the sofa armrest to steady herself. Yu Heng walked over and reached out to support her arm.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"It's nothing..." Bai Xinran shook her head, "I just sat for too long."

Shen Yueling watched from the side. She stood up and walked to Yu Heng's side.

"Yu Heng," she called out to him.

Yu Heng turned to look at her: "What's wrong?"

"Come here for a second," Shen Yueling said. "I have something to tell you."

Her tone was flat, revealing no emotion.

Yu Heng raised an eyebrow and followed Shen Yueling toward the balcony.

The balcony and living room are separated by a floor-to-ceiling glass door. When the door is closed, the sounds from the living room become muffled.

Shen Yueling leaned against the railing, looking at Yu Heng.

Yu Heng stood opposite her, his hands in his hoodie pockets, waiting for her to speak.

"What happened to Bai Xinran?" Shen Yueling asked directly.

Yu Heng's expression remained unchanged: "What? What happened?"

"Don't pretend," Shen Yueling rolled her eyes at him, "I just went to the bathroom."

Yu Heng remained silent for two seconds.

"And then?" he asked.

"I saw it," Shen Yueling said. "It's what she hid in the closet."

Yu Heng didn't say anything.

The balcony light wasn't very bright, so half of his face was in the light and half in the shadow, making it impossible to see his expression.

After a long while, he finally spoke.

"So?" he said.

"So?" she repeated, "So I came to ask, since you told me last time not to let other people affect my emotions, I came to ask this time while I'm calm."

Shen Yueling's tone was indeed very calm, without resentment or questioning, completely different from last time.

Yu Heng looked at her, pulled his hand out of his hoodie pocket, touched his nose, and thought about how to say it.

"It's just..." Yu Heng paused, "...that movie we watched together before, remember?"

Shen Yueling certainly remembered that the woman in the film was tied up.

"That kind of relationship?" Shen Yueling asked.

"Um."

"Have you done it?"

Yu Heng was taken aback. He thought Shen Yueling would ask him if he liked her, or when they started dating.

But she asked if I had ever done it before.

This point of focus...

Something seems off.

"Not yet," Yu Heng replied honestly.

"How long have you two known each other?" Shen Yueling finally spoke. "A month? A month and a half?"

"almost."

"Developing so fast?"

Yu Heng could tell that her tone wasn't accusatory, but curious.

He wasn't quite sure.

"It's alright," he said. "She's always had that tendency."

"You have one too?" Shen Yueling squinted.

"Yes, otherwise why would I have those kinds of videos on my computer?" Yu Heng said with a smile.

"I just realized..." Shen Yueling murmured, "Then why are you always so indifferent to Yutong?"

Upon hearing this, Yu Heng's expression became more serious.

This question is harder to answer than the previous one.

"Because I didn't know how to respond to her," Yu Heng said. "To be honest, I want her."

He spoke directly and without any pretense, and Shen Yueling blinked.

"Her figure is the best I've ever seen." Yu Heng even smiled. "36E, I've never seen a bigger one, I want to experience it."

These words are crude, but true; he felt there was nothing to hide about his relationship with Shen Yueling.

"But her feelings for me are purely platonic," Yu Heng said. "She's looking for a romantic relationship, which I can't provide."
