Chapter 35 The Meeting Begins and the Heavy Truth

Lin Dao sat down in the main guest seat, which was comfortable, but he kept his back ramrod straight.

The meeting room was so quiet that the only sounds were the faint hum of the air conditioning system and the occasional rustling of papers or a soft cough from the other side of the screen.

All eyes, whether on-site or through screens, were like invisible probes, focused on him.

At that moment, on the main screen, there was a picture of Zhao Lan, the director of the National Pokémon Phenomenon Response Bureau (whose name had obviously just been changed), who broke the silence first.

She didn't exchange pleasantries, but instead pulled up an audio file.

"Mr. Lin, we first need your help to confirm some information."

Zhao Lan's voice came through the speaker, calm and capable.

"This audio clip is one of the core messages played by an 'information carrier' that appeared simultaneously with the 'unidentified organism,' which is actually a Pokémon, in front of the highest decision-makers in our country and a few other major countries."

"We employed top linguists, cryptographers, and AI models to decipher several key syllables that appeared repeatedly over several months, but progress was slow, and we could only confirm that it belonged to a highly complex and completely unknown language system."

She clicked play.

A strange, rhythmic male voice rang out in the conference room. He spoke a sentence with a fluctuating tone and clear, elastic syllables, completely unlike any language on Earth.

After the playback ended, Zhao Lan pulled up the expert-annotated translation next to it, and then her sharp gaze went straight to Lin Dao through the screen.

"Mr. Lin, do you understand? If so, please tell us the exact meaning of this sentence?"

Almost as soon as the first syllable of the audio played, a slight, resonant warmth emanated from the gene wedge between Lin Dao's neck.

Immediately afterwards, the Arceus phone in my mind popped up an instant notification:

[Standard Pokémon world universal language audio detected. Language database comparison complete. Proceed with semantic parsing and simultaneous instruction?]

Lin Dao's heart stirred slightly, and he tacitly approved the system's operation.

The slight dizziness was fleeting.

With Lin Dao's current physical condition and mental strength, receiving this kind of information did not cause him much discomfort.

It made him know every syllable and every intonation of that speech by heart, as if it were his mother tongue.

To the others in the conference room, it appeared that Lin Dao had only paused for a few seconds to think after the audio played.

He looked up, his gaze sweeping over Zhao Lan on the screen and the representatives present, and said clearly, "I understand. This is the universal language of the Pokémon world."

He paused, accurately repeated the pronunciation of the sentence, and then translated it.

"This means: 'Pokémon are about to descend upon your world; prepare to welcome a new era.'"

A very faint gasp filled the conference room.

The problem that had troubled a top team of experts for months and required countless efforts was as simple as reciting one's mother tongue in front of this young man.

Lin Dao didn't pause; he continued his analysis, combining the information he already knew.

"Judging from the wording and tone of this sentence, it should be a pre-recorded announcement that spans the world."

"The commenter seems to assume the recipient can understand their language. It appears that the Pokémon world that collided with yours did indeed attempt to communicate before the fusion began, but..."

A knowing, wry smile played on his lips. "They clearly misjudged the vast differences between the two world's language systems. This attempt at communication, because it's completely incomprehensible, may actually exacerbate the initial confusion and fear."

"A collision?" Zhao Lan on the screen keenly grasped the key point in Lin Dao's wording, and she leaned forward slightly.

"Mr. Lin, you just mentioned 'the Pokémon world that collided with your world.' According to your previous statement, you come from 'another world where humans and Pokémon coexist.' Could it be that you don't come from this Pokémon world?"

The question went straight to the heart of the matter, and the atmosphere in the meeting room instantly became even more tense.

Everyone understood the subtext in Zhao Lan's words: If Lin Dao didn't come from "the other side," then where did he come from? Did his knowledge and purpose have another origin?

Lin Dao knew it was time to reveal some of his true trump cards.

He paused for a moment, organizing his thoughts, then slowly began to speak, his voice exceptionally clear in the quiet conference room:

"I think that everyone here is familiar with the concepts of 'multiverse' and 'parallel worlds,' or at least has some theoretical understanding of them."

Several representatives from the scientific community nodded slightly.

"Then, please allow me to explain based on this framework."

Lin Dao's gaze deepened, as if penetrating the wall to see a grander picture.

"I do not come from the Pokémon world that collided with yours. I come from another independent world where humans and Pokémon have coexisted for hundreds of years."

"And your world has come into contact with and collided with another 'Pokémon world' where Pokémon are the main creatures, on a macroscopic dimension that we have not yet fully understood."

"This collision is not in the astrophysical sense, but more like a mutual approach and integration of world laws and the foundations of existence."

"Without intervention, the structures of both worlds could be damaged, potentially leading to devastating consequences."

He looked at the solemn-looking crowd on the screen: "So, a... or rather, a higher-level being, maintaining some kind of balance in the multiverse, intervened."

"What it does is not to forcibly separate the two worlds, but to guide them to begin to 'merge,' in a relatively controllable and gradual way, so that the two worlds gradually become one, forming a more stable and richer 'new world.'"

An elderly academician with gray hair couldn't help but push up his glasses, his voice trembling slightly: "A higher level of existence? Maintaining balance? Mr. Lin, are you saying... that beyond our world, there really exist metaphysical entities like 'creators' or 'managers'?"

Lin Dao carefully considered the words.

"Based on the information and understanding I currently have, your 'primitive human world' has not left any clear, tangible traces of direct intervention by a 'creator god' in its long development process."

"At least there aren't as many clear legends and evidence as there are in the other world. But..."

He emphasized, "The 'Pokémon World' that is about to merge with you is clearly the embodiment of the 'Creator God.' That being has a clear image, name, and deeds in the legends and history of the Pokémon World."
