The following morning, a low-profile but high-performance SUV drove away from Paris and sped southwest toward the Landes Forest.

"Have you tried communicating with Pokémon?" Lin asked.

The operations room was silent for a few seconds.

Lin Dao nodded.

"I understand. I will enter the forest today and try to resolve the issue. But before that, I need your assurance that no personnel at the base will enter the forest, fire, or take any action that could escalate the situation until I give a clear signal."

General Louis stared at Lin Dao for a long time, and finally, he slowly raised his hand and gave a military salute.
