Ultraman Tiga: Infinite Evolution Starting with Golza
Chapter 29 Monster Weapon Project
The Ebloon cell was originally a research project conducted by the Space Development Agency to implement its planetary exploration program.
Using the cosmic cell Ebloon, astronauts can become stronger and smarter, enabling them to cope with various situations.
In the original storyline, TPC halted the research due to the incident involving Ryosuke Sanada.
Almost all of the experimental samples were also destroyed.
However, due to the threat posed by Golza, disagreements have arisen among the top management of TPC headquarters.
Some people have proposed different approaches.
"I don't think there's anything wrong with Ebron cells. They can dramatically improve the abilities of the transplanted organism," said one of the hawkish members.
But someone immediately retorted: "Then why don't you say that without a supply of electricity, organisms transplanted with Ebron cells cannot survive!"
"But what if we proactively provide the electricity supply?" Yoshioka said slowly.
"That would turn it into an out-of-control monster!" Megumi Iruma, representing the GUTS team, said seriously.
Yoshioka glanced at Megumi and smiled dismissively. "Out of control?"
He gestured to the side, and a researcher sitting next to him stood up and said, "Hello everyone, I'm from the Biological Research Center, in charge of biochip research. We've made groundbreaking progress in our research on special chips for controlling biological behavior!"
Once these words were spoken, everyone knew what Yoshioka meant.
Individuals are controlled using biochips, and then Ebron cells are transplanted and artificially fed with electrical energy.
"That way we can get controllable monster weapons!" Yoshioka concluded.
"I disagree!" Megumi Kijima stood up abruptly.
Yoshioka's smile gradually faded. "You disagree?"
"If a situation similar to Golza happens again, can your GUTS team guarantee they can defeat the monster?!"
"I..." Megumi wanted to say yes, but the cruel reality made it impossible for her to utter the word.
"The truth is, without Tiga, you simply can't handle most of the monsters!" Yoshioka said, banging on the table. "But Tiga isn't human; can you really rely on him?"
"I can rely on him!" This time, Megumi Kijima said without any hesitation, "I believe Ultraman Tiga is always reliable!"
For some reason, Megumi felt that she truly believed in Ultraman Tiga from the bottom of her heart.
"I also believe in Ultraman Tiga."
Sawai placed his hands together on the table and spoke slowly.
Megumi smiled, but then Sawai changed the subject and said, "But if the situation like last time happens again, with multiple monsters appearing at the same time, even Tiga would be overwhelmed."
"So what you mean is?" The smile on Megumi's face gradually disappeared.
"The Ebloon biological weapons research program is approved," Sawai confirmed, but then added, "However, only animals are permitted for testing; human transplantation experiments are strictly prohibited!"
Finally, Sawai looked at Yoshioka with a stern gaze.
When Megumi saw the hint of regret flash across Yoshioka's face, she was startled.
She then realized that what Yoshioka had initially said was not just about using animals to transplant Ebloon cells for culture, but about using humans!
Only Sawai understood Yoshioka's thoughts from the very beginning.
After finalizing the Ebloon biological weapon project, Sawai added, "There's one more thing."
"I have decided to reopen the Zelda Center."
Many people looked puzzled.
"Zelda Center? Where is that?"
Nanbara, a TPC staff officer and a close confidant of Sawai, spoke up: "Zelda Center, this is a military secret of the former Defense Forces."
"Twenty years ago, Masachika Nezu, who was the director of the Hokkaido Research Institute, accidentally created a terrible substance called Zelda gas."
"This gas is extremely terrifying and dangerous, possessing immense destructive power."
"Due to some accidents, all of the Zildar gas was confiscated and sealed in this Zildar center when the defense forces were disbanded."
After Nanbara finished his introduction, Sawai continued, "I plan to restart the Zildar Center and bring back Masachika Nezu to continue the research on Zildar gas!"
Megumi asked, puzzled, "Since Zelda gas is so dangerous, why continue researching it?"
"Isn't the Max propulsion system developed by Dr. Yaoo quite good? We can resume the live-action testing phase soon."
Sawai said helplessly, "It's dangerous, but its power is also exceptionally strong. We humans need this power right now."
If he could, he would rather not do this research.
If all the Zildar gas sealed in the Zildar Center were released, it would be enough to destroy one-tenth of the country's territory and wipe out all living things living there!
If it weren't for the immense pressure from Golza, Sawai would never have wanted to bring out such a dangerous item.
However, what he didn't know was that a strange bird named Sila had been watching the Zerda gas.
"The initial purpose of the Magus power system was, after all, power energy, and its combat power may not be sufficient."
"I'm also worried that if the Magus Power System generates and replenishes energy in large quantities again, will it attract Golza back to the base?" Sawai expressed his concerns.
"Therefore, I have also decided to separate the research on the Magus propulsion system and conduct experiments and research there first at the nearby space development center!"
When Megumi Kijima walked out of the conference room, she was still dizzy. She never expected that this meeting would bring about so many changes.
Is it really a good thing?
Why do I always feel like I'm playing with fire...?
Both the so-called "Ebloon Biological Weapon Project" and Zilda Gas gave Megumi a bad feeling.
But the decision had already been made, and there was nothing she could do about it.
"We can only take more precautions."
Intermediary Hui muttered helplessly to herself.
……
Before we knew it, another ten days or so had passed.
Horii has finally created a monitoring radar capable of sensing fluctuations in nearby extradimensional energy.
With the radar installed at the base, everyone felt a little more at ease.
But only a little bit.
After all, the lack of sufficiently powerful weapons is a major weakness.
As a result, the development of weapons began to proceed at an even more intensive pace.
Dr. Yao and his Magus Propulsion System were also moved from the base to a nearby space development center for further experimentation.
If these experiments go smoothly, then the next step is to mass-produce Magus power sources in preparation for human trials.
Whether Golza will appear then will be the key point!
……
Thousands of meters underground.
Just as TPC was undergoing a major transformation and, due to the influence of a certain Golza, was anxiously and intensively developing new weapons.
Golzalinye, the mastermind behind it all, opened his eyes underground...
