Being at Hogwarts, something's not right with this system.

30. None of the Gryffindor children are innocent and easy to get into trouble.

Filch was just a minor incident, yet Lin Yu dared to argue with Snape in front of everyone, even making outrageous statements about what he would do if he became the headmaster of Hogwarts or even the Minister of Magic.

Now everyone knows that he is not someone to be trifled with.

In the teachers' section, Professor McGonagall couldn't help but lean close to Dumbledore and complain, "Are you really going to send that kid to Gryffindor? He's a troublemaker; I'm afraid he'll turn Gryffindor upside down. He's a problem child."

Dumbledore was also from Gryffindor, but Professor McGonagall is now the Head of Gryffindor.

She wanted to curse. Dumbledore wasn't in charge and didn't understand why Professor McGonagall hadn't won the House Cup in a long time and why they kept losing to Slytherin in Quidditch.

This made her hesitant to face Snape alone for a long time, feeling very guilty.

Dumbledore, however, smiled and reassured his old friend, "Don't worry, none of the Gryffindor children are innocent."

Professor McGonagall was speechless. What kind of consolation is this?

It would be better not to offer any comfort.

That's why she felt increasingly troubled.

School hasn't even started yet, and Lin Yu has already caused quite a bit of trouble.

"But," Dumbledore suddenly added, "I believe he is a good boy, like the Weasley twins, who just like to play pranks, but nothing serious."

After all, the Weasleys have always been Gryffindors and loyal followers of Dumbledore.

Even though the Weasleys were not the original members of the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore knew that they had never had a good attitude towards Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

What else could Professor McGonagall say?

The other professors also seemed to get along well, chatting casually or raising their glasses to each other.

Snape was talking to Quirrell when his unfriendly gaze swept over the Gryffindor seats, first glaring at Lin Yu who had his back to him, and then settling on Harry.

Harry suddenly felt a sharp, needle-like pain on the scar on his forehead.

This made Harry snort and look up at Snape.

Harry sensed a hostility in Snape's gaze, an inexplicable disgust.

Because before this, Harry didn't know Snape, and he had never even spoken to him.

Harry was puzzled. It was Lin Yu who had caused a scene at the Sorting Ceremony and even argued with Snape in public. So why would Snape hate him?

Before Harry could think any further, the ghosts joined in.

Perhaps they grew bored watching from the sidelines, and they went their separate ways.

"Welcome, freshmen of this year. I am Sir Nicholas of Minsey," the ghost floated above the dining table, but when he looked at the delicious desserts on the table, he showed a sad expression.

Because he can no longer taste the delicacies of the human world.

“I’ve heard of you,” Ron said, looking up at Nicholas. “You’re Nick the Nearly Headless.”

Nicholas suddenly seemed a little flustered. He said, "I prefer you to call me Sir Nicholas."

"Almost headless? How could you almost be headless?" Hermione asked curiously, because she saw that the ghost was still intact, with its head still on its head.

Nicholas seemed to be annoyed, so he grabbed his hair and yanked it hard in a fit of rage.

His head suddenly fell off, but not completely; it was only held together by a thin layer of skin on his neck.

It seems that he was beheaded before his death, but not completely, which is why he was nicknamed "Nick the Nearly Headless".

The freshmen stared at him in disbelief, as if they had been terrified.

But Nicholas became happy, saying, "You insisted on asking, now you're not asking anymore?"

He gently pressed his head back onto his neck, satisfied, and said, "Now you know why. Also, welcome back again. I hope you freshmen will work hard to win the House Cup for Gryffindor this year. Slytherin has already won the House Cup six times in a row, and I don't want to see Bloody Barrow swaggering in front of me again. Here he is."

The new students followed Nicholas's gaze and saw a ghost with a gaunt appearance and vacant eyes, his robes stained with silver blood, sitting right in front of Draco on Slytherin's desk.

This made Draco's already pale face look even worse, and he didn't even want to eat the delicious dessert in front of him.

Harry, Ron, Lin Yu, and Hermione laughed.

After all, they had a falling out on the train, so they were quite happy to see each other get the short end of the stick.

It is said that the Blood Man Barrow is indeed terrifying; even other ghosts do not want to get close to him.

Lin Yu looked thoughtfully towards the other side, near the Ravenclaw table.

An elegant female ghost is lingering nearby.

She was known as Lady Grey, but Lin Yu had already guessed that she was actually Helena Ravenclaw, the daughter of Ravenclaw, one of the four founders of Hogwarts.

She was killed by the blood man, Barrow.

At the same time, Ravenclaw's crown was not only lost because of her, but it was also because of her that Voldemort found the crown and made it into a Horcrux.

At that moment, a sound caught Lin Yu's attention.

It was Neville speaking, telling his story: "I grew up with my grandmother, who was also a witch. But my family always thought I was a Squib. It wasn't until my uncle accidentally threw me off a building one day, and I bounced up and flew across the street, that they happily thought I could go to Hogwarts. My uncle even bought me a toad as a gift, which is Rafer. Although I always accidentally lose it."

Lin Yu found it both funny and saddening, feeling sorry for the timid, chubby little boy.

Neville Longbottom's parents were among the first members of the Order of the Phoenix, and they suffered greatly because they refused to submit to Voldemort.

This also dealt a blow to Neville, who would often forget things unintentionally.

But few people know that there were actually two boys in the prophecy about Voldemort's defeat from the very beginning.

One is Harry Potter, and the other is Neville Longbottom; they both have birthdays in July.

Voldemort was more concerned about Harry, and everyone was also paying more attention to Harry.

In reality, Neville did play a crucial role in the final battle; one could say he was the one who truly destroyed Voldemort's last Horcrux.

Perhaps this is just fate playing tricks on us?

Lin Yu thought to himself, that's why he wanted to stand out from the crowd. He didn't want to remain unknown and then die unexpectedly and quietly one day.

This is a real magical world, filled with both childlike wonder and the most cruel threats and darkness.

Even right under the nose of the greatest white wizard, the Dark Lord was already preparing to strike.
