Chapter 24 portrays him like a warrior.

Lu Ping led everyone out of the classroom, around the corridor, and toward the faculty lounge.

Just then, Mischief appeared. He ran up to Lupin's head and started singing loudly: "Lupin, you madman, you big idiot~"

Before Lupin could say anything, Bai Lin, who was walking at the back, was disturbed from reading by the awful singing. Without looking up, he waved his wand, and a soap bubble suddenly appeared in the air, trapping Peeves inside. Peeves was instantly reduced to the size of a fist, his entire face pressed tightly against the inner wall of the soap bubble. The soap bubble carried the now completely mute Peeves out the window.

"He can handle it, thank you, Mr. Casey," Lupin shrugged.

The three children looked at each other, and Harry shrugged at Hermione, implying that Whitescale had many strange spells he didn't know about.

When Lu Ping reached the door of the faculty lounge, he looked down and saw that Pippi had stuffed chewing gum into the keyhole. He then taught everyone a useful little spell to flick the gum away.

Everyone walked happily to the faculty lounge, only to run into the poker-faced Snape. Snape wanted to make sarcastic remarks to the Gryffindor students, but seeing Bai Lin walking at the back of the line, reading notes as he went, he swallowed his words. He already knew Bai Lin's way of handling things and knew he was not someone to be trifled with. What's more, Bai Lin's uncle was Fudge, the current Minister of Magic. Although Fudge was weak, if he stood up for his nephew, it would still create many obstacles for Snape's plans. In the end, Snape snorted and walked away.

Lupin watched Snape leave and led everyone to a row of wardrobes at the back of the common room. Suddenly, one of the wardrobes started shaking and slammed against the wall with a thud, startling everyone.

Lupin quickly reassured everyone, telling them that there was a Boggart inside. This was their first lesson: facing their fears.

"First question, what is a Boggart?" Lupin asked.

Hermione and Harry raised their hands at the same time. After special training, Harry studied these strange and wonderful creatures diligently.

Lupin chose Hermione, who said, "It's a shapeshifting thing that can transform into whatever you're most afraid of." Hermione was pleased to have answered the question correctly in front of Bai Lin, but when she turned her head, Bai Lin seemed not to have noticed and was just looking down at his book.

Lupin was satisfied and nodded, saying, "I can't explain it any more clearly myself. When I release him, he'll become the first person he sees who is most afraid of him. But we have a huge advantage now, Harry, do you know what it is?"

Harry quickly said, "Because there are so many of us, he can't tell what it will turn into!"

Lupin clapped his hands and said, "Absolutely right! He can't possibly transform into two different things at the same time, like having the upper body of a water monster and the lower body of a fire dragon, can he?"

Then, Lupin humorously taught everyone the special spell to deal with Boggarts, "Funny Funny," which, through sheer willpower, forces a Boggart to become what they consider the most ridiculous thing. After teaching the spell, he had everyone step back and form a semi-circle at a distance, and each time he would choose one student to come forward and practice.

Lupin knew that Neville was in a very low mood that morning because of Snape's mockery and bullying, so he chose him as the first student to try it out and encouraged him repeatedly. Neville did not disappoint everyone in the end, turning Boggart into Professor Snape wearing a green dress and carrying a red handbag, which brought a burst of laughter.

Boggart transformed into each student's most feared creature, one moment a giant spider, the next a vampire. Just as he was about to turn his attention to Harry, Lupin stepped in front of Harry to stop Boggart.

But Harry insisted on giving it a try. After the special training and the battle with the Dementors on the train, Harry felt fearless. Lupin thought for a moment, then stepped aside, and Harry stepped forward to stand in front of the Boggart.

Boggart began to transform, gradually becoming a tall figure dressed in a black robe and hood. Although their faces were obscured, everyone knew that this was the Dark Lord, Voldemort, whom everyone feared. Not only Harry, but almost everyone, including Lupin himself, felt a chill run down their spines and broke out in a cold sweat.

Harry felt a sharp pain in his forehead and hallucinations flashed before his eyes: a woman holding a baby, pleading with a tall, dark figure not to kill her son, but to kill herself instead.

Tears streamed down Harry's face as Boggart, transformed into Voldemort, approached him step by step, but Harry remained motionless.

Lupin swallowed hard, about to step forward, when someone grabbed his sleeve. Turning around, he saw Bai Lin, who had already put down his notebook and picked up his wand.

"Harry can handle it, give him some confidence!" Bai Lin raised his head and whispered.

As Lupin looked on anxiously, Harry suddenly opened his eyes. To everyone's astonishment, instead of using the Jester's Spell, he aimed at Voldemort's wand and said, "Expelliarmus!"

Boggart was, after all, just a low-level dark creature and did not possess Voldemort's magic power. His wand was instantly knocked away. Then, Harry's wand flew, and a series of dry and difficult-to-read spells came out of his mouth one after another: the Petrify Spell, the Legs-Retreating Spell, the Stunning Spell, the Ice Spell... The speed was so fast that Lupin, who was standing by in astonishment, did not even have time to react.

Finally, Bai Lin pointed his wand at Harry and said, "Spell Stop!" Harry was stunned. The spell he was about to cast was stopped by Bai Lin, and the spell failed.

Bai Lin said, "Wake up! He's not really Voldemort. If you attack again, you'll kill Boggart!"

Only then did everyone realize that Bogut had been beaten black and blue and had retreated back into the closet, never daring to come out again.

The Gryffindor students looked at each other, none of them expecting this outcome. But everyone knew in their hearts that Harry was very strong, stronger than any of them, and perhaps in the future they really would have to rely on him to deal with Voldemort.

Lupin suppressed his shock and kept reassuring everyone: "Fantastic! Five points for Gryffindor, because everyone subdued the Boggart. Five points also for Neville, Hermione, and Harry. You all did a great job in class..."

He paused, then said in a relaxed tone, "Everyone did a great job. As expected of Gryffindor students, courage is with you all! As for the homework... just read the Boggart chapter, and write a simple summary and reflection. Hmm, it's due Monday~"

After seeing all the students off, Lupin sat wearily in a chair. Bai Lin said, "What's wrong, Professor? You don't seem too happy with Harry."

Lupin rubbed his temples and said, "Not about Harry, I just want to ask you, what did you do to Harry? He's just a teenager, yet he acted like a warrior..."

Bai Lin looked at the blue sky outside the window and said, "I just gave Harry a choice: to have a wonderful childhood or to face his fate and become a powerful wizard."

"You misled Harry!" Lupin protested fiercely.

"Isn't helping students become the people they want to be what we teachers should be doing? Professor, Harry is destined for greatness, and we can't protect him forever. Perhaps one day, we'll need him to protect us!" Bai Lin said.

Lupin sighed and said, "I hope you're right, but I also hope you're wrong..."
