Hogwarts Summoning Guide.

"Um, am I that famous?" Bai Lin was a little puzzled. Why did people recognize him so often lately? Suddenly, a possibility came to mind: perhaps the Encyclopedia System was slowly adjusting the level of fame of his identity in order to prevent an unknown person like him from suddenly becoming a powerful wizard and causing an information shock to the magical world.

Sure enough, Ron pulled a handful of wizard cards from his pocket, took one out and handed it to Bai Lin, saying, "Mr. Kelling, could I have an autograph?"

Bai Lin took a look and, to his surprise, saw his own photo on the wizard card, along with an introduction on the back: "The most renowned magical creature master after Newt, passionate about the research and protection of magical creatures. He even created his own summoning spells and many Chinese incantations to accompany magical creatures. Some say he is the strongest among the young wizards and currently works for the Ministry of Magic."

"Wow! That's quite a high evaluation!" Bai Lin thought to himself. This way, when he summons werewolves or mandrakes in front of many wizards and recites the Chinese incantation, it won't be so shocking. This is probably an adjustment made by the system to make the encyclopedia more reasonable.

Bai Lin took out a quill pen—it is said that Catherine added many convenient features to this formal suit, and wrote the two characters "Bai Lin" on the card.

"You're from the East?... This is Bai-lin..." Hermione leaned closer, looking at Bai-lin's signature. Clearly, the energetic Hermione had also learned some Chinese.

Harry, seeing Hermione's three bulging satchels, asked, "What are these things?"

Hermione casually replied, "I just took a few extra courses... Hey? Harry, you're already previewing the new semester's courses?" Without any hesitation, Hermione pulled out the "Intermediate Spells, Level 3" book from Harry's bag, which Harry had already crumpled up. She opened it and saw that it contained many notes.

Hermione suddenly felt a little nervous, and couldn't help but ask herself if she had been too foolish to spend the whole summer sunbathing in France. Even Harry, who was usually quite casual about his studies, knew to preview the lessons, and it seemed that he had almost memorized all the spells for his third year.

"After leaving my aunt's house, Mr. Kaelin gave me some training..." Harry took the textbook back from Hermione and stuffed it back into his bag.

Hermione secretly resolved to work even harder. Ron asked, "Is there anything else you want to buy?"

Hermione glanced at her wallet and said, "I still have 10 Galleons. My birthday is in September, and my parents gave me some money so I can buy myself a birthday present in advance."

"How about buying a good book?" Ron said, feigning kindness.

"No, I don't want to buy books," Hermione said calmly. "I really want an owl... Does Mr. Kaelin have any suggestions?" Hermione looked at Bai Lin shyly.

While eating his ice cream, Bai Lin was surprised when Hermione asked him about it. But following the plot was his winning strategy, so he quickly pointed to the Fantastic Beasts store across the street and said, "Why don't we go check out the Fantastic Beasts store across the street? I think your mouse seems unwell, so we can go take a look." Bai Lin pointed to the mouse's head sticking out of Ron's pocket.

Bai Lin knew, of course, that Scabbers was Peter Pettigrew. Although Peter seemed to be of average strength in the original story, Bai Lin knew that Peter was actually a very powerful wizard. This could be seen from several sources. First, he was a Death Eater who constantly used the Avada Kedavra curse. Voldemort would not take in weaklings as his underlings. Second, he had blown up half a street in front of Sirius Brian and escaped unscathed, framing Black. This proved that he was at least no weaker than Black, who was a very powerful wizard.

After careful consideration, Bai Lin was not confident that he could defeat Peter, so he followed the plot and returned to Hogwarts. Bai Lin did not believe that Peter could escape his grasp.

The four of them excitedly entered the Magical Creatures Shop. The place was small, with cages densely packed on the walls. The air was foul and noisy, filled with the squeaking and screaming of the creatures inside. Behind the counter, a witch was trying to sell a large purple toad to a wizard.

The magical creature shop had a wide variety of animals, which made Bai Lin quite envious. Although most of them were low-level creatures of level 1 or 2, sealing them all would at least provide Bai Lin with 3 to 5 points of magic power. However, they were not cheap. A level 2 gem turtle would cost 40 Galleons.

Ron took the lead and handed the witch the spotted mouse, saying, "My mouse, ever since I brought it back from Egypt, its color has been a little off."

The witch had Ron put Scabbers on the counter and started asking him all sorts of questions, pretending to be concerned, but eventually she came back to trying to sell him other animals.

Hermione spotted a large ginger cat in the shop at a glance. It was a purebred orange cat, much like the Flerken from Captain Marvel. At that moment, the cat was looking at Bai Lin from the highest cage. Bai Lin had owned a British Shorthair cat before coming to the magical world and was very good with cats. With the magical creature affinity +3 given by the Pokédex, the cat jumped down from the cage and landed in Bai Lin's hands with a slight beckoning.

Bai Lin stroked its chest fur, and it closed its eyes comfortably. This big cat had a fierce face, but in Bai Lin's hands, it looked like Hello Kitty. Bai Lin suddenly thought that perhaps Hermione was attracted to its fierceness. Instead of stroking its fur, she cleverly let it see Ron's spots.

As if activated, the big cat leaped out of Bai Lin's arms and pounced on Scabbers. Scabbers slipped away like a bar of soap from the witch's hand, who was about to apply rat enhancer to it, and fled the Magical Animals Shop like the wind. Ron quickly grabbed Harry and chased after it.

Hermione immediately took a liking to the big cat named Crookshanks, and Ron and Harry finally found Scabbers under a cardboard box at the entrance of the Quidditch boutique.

Ron and Hermione bickered as they walked, and the four of them happily returned to the Leaky Cauldron. From afar, they saw Mr. Weasley reading the Daily Prophet at the bar. He saw Bai Lin, was clearly startled, and got up to greet him.

"You are... Mr. Kelling?" Mr. Weasley extended his right hand.

Bai Lin shook hands with Mr. Weasley very politely. They both worked at the Ministry of Magic, and Mr. Weasley was the head of the Office of Muggle Misuse. However, Mr. Weasley seemed to respect Bai Lin very much.

"Dad, Mr. Kelling is our assistant professor for the new semester!" Ron said excitedly.

"Yes, Mr. Weasley, Mr. Kaelin's summoning magic is really amazing, and of course his Chinese spells are amazing too!" Harry said excitedly.

After exchanging a few polite words with Mr. Weasley, Bai Lin finally brought up Sirius Black. Mr. Weasley pulled Bai Lin aside, allowing Mrs. Weasley, Ron's siblings, and Harry to join them as they came downstairs.

"Mr. Kelling, Brian is still on the run and may go to Hogwarts. If it's convenient, please take good care of the children," Mr. Weasley said.

Bai Lin nodded and said, "This new semester will be quite turbulent. Black isn't a big deal, but I've heard that many bounty hunters have flooded into Hogsmeade. The Ministry of Magic's bounties are quite attractive. What I'm worried about isn't him, but the Dementors of Azkaban. They might affect Hogwarts' teaching."

Mr. Weasley turned pale, clearly startled: "What? Dementors are going to Hogwarts? The children will be terrified!"

Bai Lin looked into Weasley's eyes and said, "I will protect the children in front of the Dementors, but I'm very interested in knowing how to kill them completely. Dementors are far more dangerous and evil creatures than Black."

Mr. Weasley swallowed hard and said, "Whatever you do, Mr. Kaelin, don't provoke them. If you're touched by a Dementor's Kiss, you'll lose your soul and become a living corpse!"
