Revelation of the Way of Heaven

Chapter 51 Little Loli

"Phew." He suddenly sat up in bed, trying to pretend he was having a nightmare. After hesitating for a long time, he finally decided it would be better to talk to Han Kexin clearly.

He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, then reached out and turned on the light. But the moment he turned it on, he was startled.

Standing before him was not the cold and aloof Han Kexin, but a petite and adorable little girl of seven or eight years old.

That little girl was so cute. She was wearing a long white dress, with thick, black hair cascading down her back. Underneath her neat bangs were a pair of bright, expressive eyes. Her two clean, delicate little faces were chubby but not fat, making her look adorable and charming. She was so cute it was almost melting my heart.

His sudden awakening probably startled the little girl. Her right hand was still hanging in the air, and she forgot to bring it back. But her fright only lasted for a short while. A moment later, she tilted her head and looked at him curiously. Just looking at her two big, bright black eyes melted Qin Xiaochuan's heart.

Qin Xiaochuan felt like he was dreaming. Otherwise, how could such an adorable little girl suddenly appear here and even come to his room in the middle of the night? It was really too strange.

Although the matter seemed a bit eerie, he wasn't afraid. After all, there was no reason to be afraid of such a cute little girl standing in front of him.

"Little sister, who are you? What are you doing here?" he asked her in the gentlest tone possible.

The little girl didn't answer him immediately, but gave him a sweet smile (his heart melted instantly), then she tucked her two little hands under her delicate chin before gently calling out to him, "Uncle."

Uncle? When he heard that title, his jaw almost dropped. Uncle? He was already an uncle! "Am I that old? I'm only eighteen! This seven or eight-year-old little girl is calling me uncle!" He simply couldn't believe his ears.

He felt deeply hurt, so he immediately corrected her: "You should call me 'big brother,' you see, big brother isn't that much older than you."

"Uncle." The little girl ignored what he said and sweetly called him "Uncle" again.

"No, it's my older brother."

"uncle."

"Big brother."

"uncle."

He looked helplessly at the cute little girl in front of him. He hadn't expected the girl to be so stubborn. It seemed that he was about to enter the ranks of middle-aged men. All of this had happened too fast. He was only eighteen years old.

"Uncle it is then," he said helplessly to the little girl. "Then tell Uncle, what's your name, and why did you come to my room?"

"My aunt won't let me tell anyone, and she won't let me see my uncle either," the little girl replied, seemingly unrelated to the question.

"Auntie? Who's your auntie?" he asked, confused.

"Auntie is auntie," the little girl said earnestly.

He said he was speechless. Just as he was about to ask her something else, he heard her say, "Uncle, you should go to sleep. If you sleep too late, you won't be able to get up tomorrow, and your aunt will spank you."

Pfft! He felt like he was about to spit out a mouthful of blood. Sure enough, children say the darndest things. But is this really okay? For some reason, Qin Xiaochuan kept having images of being spanked popping into his mind.

"Is your aunt someone who lives in this house?" he had no choice but to ask her.

"Go to sleep, Uncle." The little girl didn't answer him at all, but instead pressed him onto the bed. He didn't want to go against the little girl's wishes, so he lay down. Then she turned off the light and ran out of the room.

"Feed." He tried to call out to her, but only heard the door close.

What exactly is going on? He shook his head helplessly. It seems he'll have to ask Han Kexin tomorrow.

After the little girl's antics, he finally felt sleepy. He was already feeling tired, and once sleepiness came over him, he soon drifted off to sleep.

When he woke up, it was almost eleven o'clock. Although he still felt very sleepy, he got dressed and went to the living room. Han Kexin and Guo Shiyi were still sleeping upstairs. He shook his head helplessly. These girls really do sleep very capriciously.

Zhou Bin was in the lobby studying the materials they had gathered yesterday when he saw him get up. He immediately called the two girls upstairs to wake them up, while he went to the kitchen to make lunch.

Qin Xiaochuan felt a bit bored, so he turned on the TV. While changing channels, he saw a news report, which was about the Grand Canyon from last night.

In the television footage, the base in the canyon had been reduced to ruins, the mountain walls were blackened by the fire, and even the houses on both sides of the lake were affected. A group of rescuers were searching for survivors in the ruins.

The scene shifts to a beautiful reporter sitting in a helicopter. Her hair is blowing in the wind, and the microphone is filled with the whooshing sound of the wind. She says, "Judging from the current situation, it seems that a huge explosion has occurred here, which has caused a huge fire. Fortunately, it rained heavily last night, which prevented the fire from spreading. Otherwise, this remote mountain forest would have been destroyed. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation."

Watching the people in yellow firefighters' suits digging away on TV, he suddenly thought of the mutated hounds and vampires. He wondered if the explosion had killed them all; it would be troublesome if they escaped and hurt people.

He was watching when Guo Shiyi, who had finished washing up, came downstairs. The little girl was clearly not full yet, and immediately curled up on the sofa in the living room to continue her nap.

After a while, Zhou Bin finished preparing lunch, and Han Kexin came downstairs. She was still wearing her pajamas and looked like she hadn't woken up yet.

The four of them walked into the restaurant and sat down. Qin Xiaochuan thought of the little girl he had seen last night, so he asked Han Kexin, "I saw a little girl who looked about seven or eight years old last night. Who was she?"

Upon hearing this, Han Kexin immediately snapped out of her drowsy state. She looked up at him, frowning, and asked, "You saw her?"

"Yes." He nodded.

"That little devil." He heard Han Kexin mutter to herself, and just as he was wondering what she meant, she turned to Zhou Bin and said, "Go and call Xiaoying to come eat with us."

Zhou Bin nodded, said nothing more, and left his seat to go upstairs.

After Zhou Bin had walked away, Guo Shiyi pointed at his retreating figure and asked Han Kexin, "Sister Kexin, who is this?"

"Butler, Zhou Bin," Han Kexin said calmly.

Guo Shiyi nodded and said, "I've noticed that none of Kexin's family members are very talkative, except for Qin Xiaochuan."

"Hey, I'm not part of her family," Qin Xiaochuan immediately retorted.

"Really?" Guo Shiyi looked at him with a grin, clearly not believing him.

"If you don't believe me, ask her." He pointed at Han Kexin, but the latter seemed not to hear them and just stared blankly at the lunch on the table, as if she was thinking about something.

Seeing this, Qin Xiaochuan and Guo Shiyi didn't say anything more. After a while, they heard a series of rapid footsteps coming from the stairs. Qin Xiaochuan couldn't help but look towards the stairwell out of curiosity. In just a moment, he saw a little girl running out of the stairwell. She was pink and cute. Who else could it be but the little girl he had seen last night?

"Uncle!" The little girl called out happily as soon as she saw him, and then rushed to his side.
