Chapter 265 Being a Good Sister
Chapter 265 Being a Good Sister (Part 1)
After Qingming Festival, life moves on gently in the spring sunshine.
Hua Qing's life in the capital continued as usual. She rehearsed, attended classes, occasionally had a meal with Fan Chenxi, and sent Ding Heng her weekly private vlog on time.
Lin Man began preparing for graduation. Thesis proposal, defense materials, internship report—a whole host of things piled up on her, forcing her to put aside her thoughts and obediently immerse herself in her study, typing away at the keyboard.
Zhao Yanxi, on the other hand, continued her carefree and irresponsible lifestyle. She would attend class on time, copy homework, and take exams half-heartedly. Ding Heng had spoken to her about it several times, and while she verbally agreed, she would immediately go back to doing whatever she wanted.
Wenjing devoted herself to helping Wenshu prepare for the college entrance examination. The little rabbit was even more concerned about the exam than she was taking it herself, running to the villa every few days to watch her sister do her homework, cook soup and bring her meals, treating her even better than her own mother.
So recently, the person Ding Heng has been in the most contact with is actually his "younger sister" Baima.
Whether it was because Wen Shu enlightened her or for some other reason, Bai Ma seemed much more normal.
She no longer deliberately avoided Ding Heng, nor did she blush or feel her heart race and suffer internally at the slightest provocation.
The only thing that's not right is that I've started spending large sums of money again.
"Brother, my allowance is running low!"
"Brother, do you think this dress is pretty?"
"Brother, this keyboard is brand new, the RGB lighting effects are so cool!"
"Brother, I want to get a new monitor, a 27-inch high refresh rate one—"
Shopping links kept popping up on Ding Heng's phone, accompanied by various sweet and coquettish voice messages.
Baima tries her best to play the role of the "little sister" she imagines herself to be: obedient, clingy, and occasionally throwing a little tantrum, striking the perfect balance.
Ding Heng accepted all comers, buying whatever was offered and paying whatever was required.
Bai Ma accepted the gift with a clear conscience, increasingly convinced that Wen Shu was right—there was a reward for being a good younger sister, so she would be a good younger sister.
In short—it's pretty good.
On Saturday night, Liu Chiwang's birthday dinner was held at a roadside food stall in the south of the city.
Although it's called a street food stall, the store is actually quite large and always bustling with people.
When Ding Heng arrived, the private room was already full.
The round table wasn't big, but it was crammed together with a dozen or so people.
Liu Chiwang sat in the main seat, surrounded by several student council members who were pouring him drinks. His face was flushed, and his voice was louder than usual.
"Come on, Old Ding! Sit here!"
Liu Chiwang grabbed Ding Heng's arm and pulled him to his side, then grabbed a bottle of beer, pried it open with a "bang," and shoved it in front of him.
"You should drink more today, you didn't hang out with us much last semester."
Ding Heng took the bottle without refusing and took a big gulp.
The cold beer dispelled the early summer heat, and Ding Heng returned to his student identity, eating, drinking, and chatting freely with everyone.
He recognized most of the people at the table: several familiar student council officers and leaders of several clubs.
Liu Chiwang is indeed skilled at interpersonal relationships. He has built a wide network of connections since his freshman year of college.
The group chatted about school, internships, and employment, discussing who had recently received which job offer. Some boasted, while others complained—and after a few rounds of drinks, the atmosphere became increasingly lively.
Ding Heng drank quite a bit with him, switching between beer and liquor. If it weren't for the good kidneys the system gave him, he might not have been able to keep up.
Seeing that it was almost time, he took out his phone and sent a message to Lin Man.
[Ding Heng]: He came to pick me up, but he drank too much.
After sending the message, he took two more sips of wine, leaned back in his chair, and closed his eyes to rest.
After some time, a hand landed on his shoulder.
"Old Ding."
Liu Chiwang's voice came from beside my ear, his breath reeking of alcohol.
Ding Heng opened his eyes and turned his head to look at him.
Liu Chiwang's face was flushed, and he was in a drunken stupor.
"I have something to tell you."
"Um."
"I'll be a junior next year—I want to give it a shot."
Ding Heng raised an eyebrow: "What are we arguing about?"
Liu Chiwang didn't answer directly, but picked up his wine glass and took a sip.
"You know, our major—to put it nicely, it's called journalism and communication; to put it bluntly—tsk."
He shook his head, a self-deprecating smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"My family doesn't have any connections, unlike you, who has the ability to make things happen on your own. I'm thinking I have to find a way out for myself."
Ding Heng didn't respond, waiting for him to continue.
"I've been working in the student council for over a year, and I've pretty much figured it out. Next year is the election, and I'd like to try and see if I can move up a rank."
He paused, then added in an even lower voice.
"Some teachers in the Youth League Committee think highly of me."
"Okay."
Ding Heng picked up his wine glass and clinked it against his.
"If you need any help later, just let me know."
"That's for sure."
Liu Chiwang grinned and downed the wine in his glass in one gulp.
"I won't stand on ceremony with you."
After a few more drinks, Liu Chiwang opened up completely, talking about everything from student council plans to post-graduation plans, and even further into the future.
His words conveyed the same message—he wanted to climb higher and stand at a higher level.
Ding Heng listened quietly, occasionally offering a few words of response.
He could sense that the usually carefree and straightforward Northeastern man was actually quite meticulous.
He knows what he wants and he knows how to do it.
It was almost 1 a.m. when the dinner party ended.
The drunkards were shoved into taxis, staggering about, while those who weren't sober stood by the roadside trying to hail a ride. A headcount was taken.
Liu Chiwang was carried out by two people, his steps unsteady, and he kept muttering "Let's get together again next time".
As he passed by Ding Heng, he broke free from the hands of the people next to him and grabbed Ding Heng's shoulder.
"Old Ding."
"Um."
"Thank you."
"Let's go back and get some rest."
Ding Heng put Liu Chiwang into a taxi, the door closed, and the taillights gradually disappeared into the night.
As the street quieted down, Ding Heng took out his phone to ask Lin Man where she was when a silver-gray Porsche turned into the alley and came to a smooth stop in front of him.
The car window rolled down.
Baima poked half her head out from the driver's seat, tilted her head, and smiled at him.
"Brother, get in the car!"
"Why is it you? Where's Lin Man?"
"Sister Man is flying to Hong Kong unexpectedly."
Baima shrugged: "All the other women are asleep, so it's just me left."
Ding Heng subconsciously reached out to touch her head, teasing her as he did so.
"Are you the only one staying up all night playing games?"
"You brat, I came to pick you up out of kindness, and you still scold me."
Bai Ma turned her head away from his hand, her tone dissatisfied.
Ding Heng wasn't annoyed. He walked around to the passenger side, opened the door, and got in.
"Is saying something considered scolding?"
"The way you're talking sounds just like my mom."
Bai Ma pouted and turned on her turn signal to cross the intersection.
"Try to stay up less late."
"Okay, okay."
Bai Ma gave a perfunctory reply, and spoke again a few seconds later.
"By the way, bro, I'm thinking of getting a new graphics card and monitor. My current one is struggling with AAA games; it drops frames when I turn the graphics settings up high."
Unlike usual, Ding Heng didn't readily agree. Instead, he asked, "How much money have you spent this month?"
"Can you blame me? Games these days are getting more and more outrageous, with increasingly higher system requirements. My setup is already struggling."
Baima pleaded in a high-pitched, coquettish voice, "Brother~ Isn't it only right for a brother to spend money on his sister?"
"Flowers are flowers."
Ding Heng smiled wryly: "Shouldn't I also charge some interest?"
Bai Ma's grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly.
"What kind of interest will you charge?"
"We'll talk about it when we get back."
Ding Heng closed his eyes again.
Bai Ma glanced at him furtively, pursed her lips, and felt her heart inexplicably skip a few beats.
The car turned into the underground garage of the villa area and turned off the engine.
The two went upstairs, and the motion-sensor light in the entryway turned on.
"Brother, you've had quite a bit to drink. Would you like to take a bath first?"
Baima bent down, took out slippers from the shoe cabinet, and neatly placed them next to Ding Heng's feet.
Ding Heng changed his shoes and glanced at her: "Are you going to help me wash them?"
Baima looked flustered: "Ah, brother, what are you saying? You've had too much to drink!"
"It's dangerous when you've drunk too much. What if you slip and fall in the bathroom?"
"Ah—I—you—"
As Bai Ma hesitated, Ding Heng placed his large hand on her head and gently massaged it.
"Alright, just kidding! Go to sleep early."
Footsteps sounded on the stairs, followed by the soft click of a door closing.
Baima stood there dumbfounded, her heart still pounding.
Stinky brother————
She bit her lip, changed her shoes, and went upstairs to her room.
The sound of running water filled the bathroom, and the steam fogged up the mirror.
Baima stood under the showerhead, letting the hot water wash over her body, Ding Heng's words still echoing in her ears.
"Would you like to help me wash?"
Baima couldn't help but start imagining the scene of the two of them taking a bath together—
After taking a shower, Baima wrapped herself in a towel and went back to her room. She had just picked up the hairdryer when she heard a knock on the door.
"Thump, thump, thump."
Baima turned off the hairdryer and turned to look at the door.
"Come in."
The door was pushed open.
Ding Heng walked slowly into the room, wearing a loose brown T-shirt and casual pants.
He walked to the bedside and lay down on it.
"what?"
Baima blinked.
"My back and waist ache after drinking alcohol."
Ding Heng buried his face in the pillow: "Come over here and give your brother a massage."
Pema said with difficulty, "I...I don't know how!"
"Don't you want to upgrade your graphics card and monitor?"
Ding Heng turned his head to the side, revealing only one eye as he looked at her.
Baima choked—
"Oh, I'll go put on some clothes first."
She put down the hairdryer, went into the walk-in closet, and closed the door.
Standing in front of the mirror, Baima took a deep breath.
What should I replace it with?
She opened the wardrobe and ran her fingers along the rows of clothes hangers.
The first outfit is a pink and white schoolgirl uniform paired with white over-the-knee stockings.
Cute and innocent.
She changed into it and went outside.
Ding Heng looked up at her.
"I'm tired of seeing your sister-in-law wearing JK uniforms every day, she should go change."
Bai Ma pouted and turned to walk back to the dressing room.
The second outfit is a floral print slip dress paired with sheer black stockings.
She walked out and twirled in front of Ding Heng.
"What about this one?"
"Too easy."
Baima gritted her teeth and went back to change.
The third outfit is a gymnastics leotard paired with white stockings.
She came out, her hands unconsciously covering the outside of her thighs.
"this----"
Too plain.
Baima turned around and went back to the dressing room.
She hesitated for a long time this time, her fingers moving back and forth between several pieces of clothing, before finally pulling out a set that she had never dared to wear.
Lolita nurse outfit.
A pure white short dress with a shallow V-neck and an excessively short skirt. A wide white belt is tied at the waist and formed into a bow at the back.
Pair it with 5D nude stockings, so thin you can barely feel the thickness.
After changing her clothes, Baima pushed open the door and walked out again.
Ding Heng was still lying on the bed, his face buried in the pillow.
Hearing footsteps, he turned his head, his gaze slowly moving down from Baima's face and finally landing on her legs.
Bai Ma felt uncomfortable under his gaze, and her fingers instinctively grabbed the hem of her skirt and pulled it down.
"Okay, okay then————"
"Come up."
Ding Heng looked away and buried his face back in the pillow.
Bai Ma pursed her lips, slid over to climb onto the bed, hesitated for a long time, and finally straddled Xiang Dingheng's back.
She was so light that Ding Heng could barely feel her weight.
"Start with the shoulders."
Ding Heng's voice was muffled by the pillow.
Bai Ma said "Oh," and placed her hands on Ding Heng's shoulders, beginning to massage.
She didn't massage him at all; her pressure was so light it felt like a tickle on Ding Heng's muscles.
"Put some effort into it."
"oh----"
Bai Ma increased the pressure, haphazardly kneading Ding Heng's shoulder blades with her fingers.
Her posture was off; she was leaning forward, almost lying on Xiang Dingheng's back.
The sheer stockings covering her calves clung tightly to Ding Heng's waist; the stockings felt slightly cool to the touch, yet through the thin fabric, one could feel the warmth of the man's skin.
Baima's heart started racing again.
"A little lower."
Ding Heng gave the order again.
Bai Ma's hands moved from Ding Heng's shoulders and back, pressing haphazardly on both sides of his spine.
"True edge?"
"left."
She moved a little to the left.
"Further to the left."
Move it a little more.
"It slipped."
"oh----"
Baima hurriedly adjusted the position, pressing her fingers back and forth on Ding Heng's back.
She didn't know what techniques to use, nor did she understand acupoints or meridians; she was just pinching based on her sense of touch.
As the price was being quoted, Baima's breathing became unsteady.
She found herself straddling Ding Heng in an extremely ambiguous position—
"Tired?"
Ding Heng's voice suddenly rang out.
"N-No, nothing—"
Baima returned to the celestial realm, her hands never stopping.
After another bounce, her hand started to ache.
"Brother—is that about enough?"
"Think about your graphics card and monitor!"
"oh!"
Baima gritted her teeth and continued reminiscing.
"Go further down."
Further down ————
She glanced down and her finger stopped at Ding Heng's belt.
"Next is—"
"according to."
Ding Heng's orders were not to be questioned.
Bai Ma pursed her lips, her fingers sliding down from the edge of Ding Heng's waist to press on the lower part of his lower back.
The next second, Ding Heng suddenly rolled over.
Caught off guard, Bai Ma fell forward and was eventually caught in Ding Heng's arms.
"Brother————"
Baima lay on Ding Heng's chest and called out softly.
Ding Heng didn't say anything, but reached out and turned off the bedside lamp.
The room was plunged into darkness.
Baima's heart was pounding like a drum, and her breathing was rapid and disordered.
Ding Heng's arms were wrapped around her waist, and through the thin nurse's skirt, her palms were warm.
"Go to sleep."
Bai Ma paused for two seconds.
Is that really true?
She thought something was going to happen.
She had even made preparations, but Ding Heng simply held her while she slept.
Bai Ma didn't know whether she should breathe a sigh of relief or feel disappointed, so she simply buried her face in Ding Heng's chest.
"Brother."
"Um."
"you----"
She wanted to ask, "What are you planning to do?", but couldn't bring herself to ask.
In the end, she said nothing, but buried her face even deeper.
In the darkness, Ding Heng gently patted her back.
One, two, three —
Baima closed her eyes.
Forget it.
In short—it's pretty good.
