Hot flashes

Zhou Heng stood on the edge of the bed, watching Xiao Jue lying on his side with the blanket pulled up to his shoulder, revealing part of the back of his head and half of his ear.

He stood by the bed for a moment, then lifted the covers and lay down, pressing himself against Xiao Jue from behind. His arms encircled Xiao Jue's waist, his palms resting on his lower abdomen, his chin nestled in the crook of his shoulder. He gently rocked him, his voice seeping through the small patch of skin illuminated by the light: "Okay, let's go back tomorrow. Is that alright?"

Xiao Jue's body shifted slightly in his arms.

He rolled over, pulling the blanket up and then back down. His fingers gripped the hem of Zhou Heng's pajamas and lifted it up.

He buried his face in it, and after a while, his chin brushed against Zhou Heng's skin, and then brushed against it again.

Zhou Heng's gaze fell on the small patch of hair on Xiao Jue's head illuminated by the desk lamp. He raised his fingers and placed them on the back of Xiao Jue's head, his fingertips touching the roots of his hair.

The next morning, Zhou Heng's suitcase was already closed and leaning against the corner of the wall.

Xiao Jue's suitcase was a size bigger than his. When the zipper was halfway closed, he squatted down, took out a jacket that had been stuffed inside, folded it, and put it back in before the zipper was finally closed completely.

The two of them carried their luggage downstairs. Qin Wan was already standing at the top of the stairs, holding a steaming cup of tea in her hand. She held the cup to her chest, her gaze sweeping from Zhou Heng's face to the handle of his suitcase, pausing for a moment before looking away.

Qin Wan glanced at the clock on the wall; the hands had just reached 10:40. "Why the rush? Have lunch before you leave. I just bought some spare ribs and a sea bass this morning. We'll steam them; you said steamed fish was delicious last time."

Zhou Heng had originally planned to do so, but then he turned his head and glanced at Xiao Jue.

Xiao Jue paused on the suitcase handle, then said, "No, I'm leaving. Going back early means I can still pack."

Zhou Heng's mouth opened slightly. He nodded slightly to Qin Wan, his voice softening, "Then... Auntie, we'll eat again next time. You can make it again when I come next time."

"Why are you leaving so soon?" Qin Wan's voice was tinged with disappointment. "You've only been here a few days. Is school urgent? If not, stay a couple more days."

Xiao Jue chimed in from the side, "Urgent, extremely urgent."

Qin Wan glared at him fiercely.

Zhou Heng glanced at Xiao Jue, then said helplessly, "There's a bit of an emergency at school, I need to go back and take care of it." He added, "I'll come see Auntie again when I have time."

Before Qin Wan could say anything more, Xiao Jue had already put his hand on the handle of the suitcase, and the wheel made a soft sound as it turned on the floor.

He turned his head to look at his mother: "Alright, alright, it's time to go. It'll be dark if we stay any longer."

Qin Wan's lips moved slightly, and she gritted her teeth: "You brat."

She turned her head to face Zhou Heng, her voice quickly softening: "Next time, let me know in advance so Auntie can prepare."

Xiao Jue had already taken two steps outside with his suitcase when he heard the instruction behind him. He turned his head and urged, "Okay, okay, let's go."

Zhou Heng nodded to Qin Wan again, then turned around and followed Xiao Jue out the door.

Upon arriving at the rented room, Zhou Heng had just laid down his suitcase and hadn't even unzipped it when a pair of hands grabbed his waist.

He was lifted off the floor by that force, his feet off the ground, his knees bent involuntarily, and Xiao Jue's arm lifted his legs up, so that his legs were hanging on his waist.

His back was slammed against the wall next to the entrance, and his shoulder blades hit the wall with a dull thud.

He turned his head, and Xiao Jue's face was pressed against his neck, the tip of his nose brushing against his skin: "You've been too quiet these past few days, it's making my ears itch." He finished the sentence with his lips still pressed against Zhou Heng's neck, his breath sweeping over that skin, "Speak louder later."

Zhou Heng gripped Xiao Jue's shoulder, looking down at the back of Xiao Jue's head buried against his neck, his voice strained through clenched teeth: "Do you have anything else to do every day?"

Xiao Jue's shoulder twitched slightly. He raised his head, his gaze falling on Zhou Heng's face, the two of them less than a palm's width apart.

He thought for a moment, the smile on his lips reaching Zhou Heng's gaze before his voice: "Yes."

He paused, then pressed his lips close to Zhou Heng's earlobe, his voice lowering slightly: "Besides fucking you, I also want to fuck you."

Zhou Heng's ears turned bright red in that instant. He lifted his fingers from Xiao Jue's shoulder, his palm pressed against Xiao Jue's cheek: "Shameless."

Xiao Jue carried him towards the bedroom. Zhou Heng's legs were still draped around his waist. Xiao Jue's hand slid from his back to the back of his head, cupped his head, pressed down slightly, and then his lips met Zhou Heng's.

The distance between the two was repeatedly shrank and expanded in those continuous kisses, which were slightly bumpy from their footsteps.

Zhou Heng's back was pressed into the mattress. His hand subconsciously rose up and pressed against Xiao Jue's chest, his palm able to feel the rhythm of the heartbeat beneath.

His eyes opened slightly. Suddenly, his pupils contracted sharply, and he pushed Xiao Jue's chest hard with his palm.

Xiao Jue's body was pushed backward, his knees slipped off the edge of the mattress, and his feet landed firmly on the floor. He took half a step back before regaining his balance.
