League: Educating LPL is my duty.

At 9:34 AM, after fans had endured immense psychological torment, EDG's official Weibo account finally released another pre-prepared announcement:

[EDG League of Legends Division Roster Changes Announcement]

After thorough and friendly communication with the player, we are pleased to announce that, effective immediately, player Li Chen (ID: god丶C) @EDG-god丶C has officially joined the EDG League of Legends division as the starting mid laner!

As the 2017 League of Legends LPL Spring Split... World Championship Finals MVP, the greatest top laner of all time, the highest mountain in the league, and an idol-like and talented streamer and player, god_C once raised the ceiling of the top lane position and became a true legend.

But the end of one story is always the beginning of another... We look forward to EDG-god丶C continuing his legend in the new year!

The announcement immediately notified fans who hadn't yet severed ties with EDG, and upon seeing the message, question marks immediately appeared above their heads.

【? ? ? ? ? ? 】

Holy crap, they're doing this again. Aren't they afraid of getting ripped off?

[This timing, this execution—a tribute to the legendary 4396!]

[An EDG fan of ten years reporting in!]

Unfollow? I was just joking! (・᷄ᵌ・᷅)

[Emm... We're allowing EDG's management to turn back!]

[Everyone stand up! That's (crossed out) incredibly awesome!]

[A new all-Chinese lineup?]

In the comment sections of EDG's previous Weibo posts, there was no need for PR to delete comments; EDG's "new" fans had already started actively defending them.

The previous discordant remarks were quickly deleted as if they had never existed, replaced by a joyous atmosphere.

After receiving the message, the fans who had just unfollowed the EDG team began to return to the EDG family.

However, while the fans are happy, the other teams are unhappy.

In particular, a certain all-Chinese team that claimed to be aiming for next year is already feeling the cracks.

At the RNG base, Bai Xing smashed the third cup, shouting angrily, "Damn it, why does EDG have to field an all-Chinese team? Did they even apply to us? This is targeting us, blatantly targeting us, shameless!"

And that guy, C, we at RNG nurtured him for two and a half years, and now he's won all the honors, why doesn't he come back to repay the team? I paid him such a high salary, and he's clearly ungrateful!

Don't bring up salary again!

Feng thought to himself, then said with a constipated expression, "EDG must have signed a contract with Li Chen a long time ago, but they just didn't announce it until now, after signing the other players."

"And Li Ning too, Li Ning is an idiot, he actually let his own top laner escape. If they hadn't let him go, where would EDG have found a top-tier local top laner to replace him and carry the team? They're just stupid." Bai Xing even started to resent Li Ning as well.

Since its formation, RNG has never had any notable achievements, relying entirely on its legacy as a runner-up and an all-Chinese roster to attract attention.

Now that EDG has suddenly entered the all-Chinese roster arena, the impact on them is enormous.

Especially for Li Chen, they could originally use the excuse that a team couldn't gather five ID cards to suppress him, but now they don't even have that excuse anymore.

Feng Ge remained silent for a while before speaking, "Boss, we don't really need to worry too much. This track can only accommodate one team. As long as we can beat them in the competition, the viewership will still be ours."

Upon hearing this, Bai Xing took a deep breath to suppress his anger and said, "You're right. As long as we can win, the traffic will still be ours. I don't believe that he can produce such a powerful but useless player. Our lineup isn't bad either."

Besides RNG, other teams are also evaluating the fighting power of EDG's new lineup.

After all, Li Chen's reputation is not just for show. Throughout the entire S7 season, he dominated no matter which position he played, and there was no one who could stand against him.

Although his skill level has declined and he has moved to the mid lane, compared to Scout before, he shouldn't be weaker, at least he should be on par.

As for Smlz in the bot lane compared to Zet, there's no need to elaborate; he's definitely a strong addition to the team.

With both Factory Manager and Meiko remaining unchanged, only the top lane has truly been nerfed.

But this is unavoidable, after all, even Li Chen himself can't reach the heights he once did, let alone others.

After some deliberation, many teams felt that EDG's roster this year was still very strong and qualified to compete in the World Championship, but they would definitely not be able to sweep everything like they did in S7.

At the EDG team base late at night, while the others were playing a scrim with SKT, only Li Chen was glued to his phone, constantly typing away.

Having finally gotten rid of his number one hater, Li Chen immediately opened Weibo and began editing his short post:

Dear fans, brothers, sisters, friends, passersby, and haters, yes, I, god_C, have kept my promise, I have not retired, and I have not given up.

I am back!

As you may have noticed, EDG's new roster in version 2.0 is an all-Chinese team.

That's right, next year we're going to use a completely new all-Chinese roster to try and win EDG's second Grand Slam of the year.

Although my personal hand recovery is not ideal at the moment, I can still compete and fight against the world's top teams without regrets!

In short, we are ready to aim for S8. As for more details, please come to my live stream tomorrow to discuss them!

(The bear shrugs)

#@RNG Esports Club# I feel like something's missing if I don't tag you guys!

Li Chen's Weibo followers have long exceeded 30 million. Now, any Weibo post he makes can cause a huge reaction, and the comment section below is always bustling with activity.

Still not ideal, but I'll fight until I have no regrets!

[Sword pointed, it must be pointed!]

[c: Sincerely invites RNG's mid-laner to a match!]

[Even if I end up like that, I'll still become the kind of person I hate.]

[To be honest, C, are you faking it?]

[C doesn't need to be drunk, the performance will make you cry.]

After briefly arguing with fans and haters in the comments section, Li Chen refocused his attention on the training match.

Like EDG, SKT has also made changes to its roster.

Faker, Bang, Wolf, and Blank are still with the team, but Peanut has gone to KZ. As for Huni, his current situation is unknown. SKT has neither announced his contract termination nor his contract renewal.

In this training match, SKT fielded a completely new lineup: top laner Thal, jungler Blank, mid laner Perean, AD carry Bang, and support Wolf.

Perhaps due to insufficient practice and coordination, the two sides were evenly matched, which, in Li Chen's view, was basically a battle of noobs.
