Primordial Era: A God-Level Choice, Possessing Zhao Gongming at the Start.

Chapter 250 Jin Ning Proves His Dao and Divides the Nine Provinces!

Shun quickly organized a rescue effort, but the flood was too fierce.

No matter how many people Emperor Shun sent out, he could only slow down the spread of the flood.

Every moment, countless humans continue to perish in the floods.

Emperor Shun had no other choice, so he went to consult his teacher, Jin Ning.

Jin Ning thought for a moment and said, "Do you still remember Gun Yao, who was in charge of flood control during the reign of Emperor Yao thirty years ago? He was appointed by Emperor Yao as the Grand Supervisor of the Rivers and Flood Control of the empire. He has a unique approach to flood control. Let's go and invite him to come out of seclusion and give it a try."

Gun

Emperor Shun bid farewell to Jin Ning and immediately sent people to Yushan to invite Gun.

However, Gun suffered a hidden injury while controlling the floods during the reign of Emperor Yao and died ten years ago.

The messenger hurriedly returned to Pingyang to report to Emperor Shun, who nearly fainted upon hearing the news.

A great flood broke out, and the governor in charge of flood control that year died.

Is it really impossible for humanity to survive this calamity?

Emperor Shun knew that if the human race were to withstand this disaster, it would be disastrous.

Then, once you've achieved perfect merit, forget about returning to the ancestral land of humanity.

The inability to return to the ancestral land of the human race was not that important to Emperor Shun.

But the fact that countless humans died was something he could never accept.

Seeing Emperor Shun's worried expression, the messenger hesitated to speak.

Emperor Shun sighed, "If you have anything to say, just say it."

Upon hearing this, the envoy quickly replied, "Your Majesty, although Gun has perished on Mount Yu, his son Yu has grown up. I have heard from the people on Mount Yu that Yu has inherited his father's flood control strategies. I believe that this time, we can send Yu to try his hand at controlling the flood."

"Oh? Yu the Great, the son of Gun?"

Emperor Shun's eyes lit up instantly. "Go and summon Yu the Great to Pingyang. I want to see if he is truly a student who has surpassed his teacher."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

The envoy nodded quickly.

Half a month later, Yu the Great was brought to Pingyang. After Emperor Shun examined him, he found that Yu the Great indeed had great talent.

Therefore, he personally bestowed upon Yu the title of Grand Supervisor of the Rivers and immediately rushed to the flood control site.

Upon hearing this, Yu the Great immediately began leading people to control the flood. In flood control, Yu the Great implemented his father's strategies, but also introduced new ones.

Gun mostly used blocking methods to control floods, and only a very small number of times did he build ditches to dredge them.

In addition to implementing Gun's methods for controlling floods, Yu the Great also adopted two other methods: "high and low" and "filling the water with water to ensure abundant harvests".

The term "high and low" refers to the silt dredged from the river channel, which was used to pile up on the riverbank to create a barrier for people.

The term "abundant water" refers to the phenomenon where small streams, which are difficult to flow into large rivers, are allowed to accumulate and form lakes, ponds, or marshes, where people can raise fish, shrimp, chickens, or ducks.

In addition to these, Yu the Great also adopted the four-character mantra of "dredging is worse than blocking".

Wherever the floods ravaged the land, channels were dug to divert the floodwaters into the four seas.

Ten years have passed in the blink of an eye, and Yu the Great has achieved great success in controlling the floods.

Emperor Shun was overjoyed and bestowed the Tu Shan clan's daughter, Jiao, upon Yu the Great as his wife.

After marrying Nüjiao, Yu the Great did not become obsessed with her. Instead, he devoted himself even more to flood control, passing by his home three times without entering.

Eight years passed quickly, and Yu the Great finally managed to completely control the floods.

At the same time, Emperor Shun's human destiny rapidly transformed into the destiny of the human emperor, and his cultivation level instantly soared to the peak of the Great Luo Golden Immortal.

At the same time, Jin Ning gained a large amount of merit for his meritorious service in assisting Emperor Shun, and his cultivation level was successfully promoted to Quasi-Saint, with his Daoist essence vast and sweeping across the nine heavens and ten earths.

In the sacred land of Kunlun, even the venerable Burning Lamp, gritting his teeth, and the saint's mount, can receive the task of teaching the Human Emperor.

As for him, one of the three thousand guests of Zixiao Palace and the vice leader of the Chan Sect, he ended up with nothing.

In the capital city of Pingyang, Emperor Shun saw Yu the Great's determination and patience in controlling the floods and directly abdicated the title of the common ruler of the human race to Yu the Great.

When Yu the Great ascended to the throne, the human spirit and fortune surged and were bestowed upon him.

At the same moment, in the west, beside Mount Sumeru and the Eight Treasures Merit Pool, Zhunti and Jieyin shone brightly in their eyes.

Overwhelmed with emotion, even Zhunti's eyes welled up with tiny tears.

It's not easy, it's really not easy for the West!

He had finally managed to assist the Human Emperor, but in the end, Chi You was defeated. Not only did he gain nothing, but he also lost a huge amount of his fortune in the west.

He must seize this opportunity in the West.

Where is the pharmacist?

Zhunti's voice echoed throughout Mount Sumeru. Soon after, the Medicine Master, dressed in blue, hurriedly arrived, saying, "Disciple is here."

"The Human Emperor has been born. Go down to the mortal realm and assist him."

The pharmacist could not hide his excitement and nodded earnestly, "This disciple will certainly live up to the expectations of Master and Uncle."

"Go."

The Medicine Master descended to the mortal realm and arrived in Pingyang. After revealing his identity, he successfully took Yu the Great as his disciple and began to teach him.

Yu the Great spent eighteen years taming the floods, passing through countless places. In addition, Yu the Great loved learning, and through constant exposure, he acquired an astonishing amount of knowledge.

Even with the pharmacist's knowledge, he was momentarily at a loss as to what to teach Yu the Great.

After Yu the Great succeeded to the throne, he felt that the tribal system was no longer suitable for the current situation of the human race, so he abolished the tribal system, renamed it Da Xia, and still made Pingyang the capital.

As for Yu the Great himself, he was the first ruler of the Xia Dynasty.

When Yu the Great established the Xia Dynasty, humanity took another giant step forward. Heaven bestowed merit upon him, and Yu the Great attained the perfect Taiyi Golden Immortal status.

After establishing the country, Yu the Great developed commerce, reclaimed land, and planted the five grains. At the same time, he began to strengthen centralized power, train troops, and severely punish those rebellious tribes while rewarding those who had made contributions.

The pharmacist, who was also the emperor's tutor, was extremely anxious upon seeing Yu the Great's great talent and ambition.

The disciple is too amazing, even the master is troubled. If this continues, we'll have to wait until Yu the Great attains enlightenment and returns to his position.

Whether he can attain the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm by leveraging the fortune of the Human Emperor is still another matter.

After ten years of establishing his kingdom, Yu the Great felt that the territory was too large to govern, so he decided to divide it into nine provinces!

The nine provinces are: Ji, Yan, Qing, Xu, Yang, Jing, Yu, Liang, and Yong.

When Yu the Great divided the land into nine provinces, in an instant, the fortune of humanity in the endless river of humankind began to tremble violently, showing a tendency to divide and disintegrate!

In the ancestral land of humanity, a group of high-ranking human leaders were shocked. Emperor Shun frowned and said, "Yu the Great is a calm, determined, and persevering man. How could he do something that would divide the fate of humanity?"

As Emperor Shun spoke, he prepared to leave his ancestral homeland and go to Pingyang to clean up the mess left by Yu the Great.

"Wait a minute." Fuxi quickly stepped forward to stop him. Eight trigrams flashed on his hands as he calculated, "The human race has gone through the Three Sovereigns and Four Emperors. Its fortune is vast and its territory is expanding day by day. Its fortune is so strong that it has reached a point where it cannot be separated. This is not the fault of Yu the Great."

"Senior Fuxi, the upheaval of humanity's fortunes could bring disaster."

Emperor Shun frowned, his face showing worry.

"No problem, I have a method to suppress the fortune of the Nine Provinces."

Fuxi smiled faintly.
