Upon hearing this, Su Wuli blinked her wet eyes at him, as if trying to determine whether his words were true or false.

She hesitated for a moment, then relaxed, but her eyes remained fixed on him.

Yu Chen took the handkerchief and placed it over her face, gently wiping it.

The person in my arms had their eyes closed and seemed to be enjoying themselves, like a cat being stroked, their eyelashes trembling gently.

After wiping his face, Yu Chen placed the wet towel aside.

Su Wuli kept her eyes closed, "It still needs wiping."

Yu Chen paused, meeting her somewhat "spoiled" expression.

A hint of a smile appeared in his eyes, but he didn't laugh out loud.

He picked up the handkerchief again.

Su Wuli innocently pointed to her collarbone.

Yu Chen was taken aback, realizing that she was truly completely drunk.

He sighed softly, then took a deep breath and raised his hand.

The handkerchief wiped across her fair collarbone, where several red marks remained.

Like plum blossoms blooming in the snow.

Su Wuli pointed to her shoulder again in a serious tone.

Yu Chen gently wiped it again.

"There's more," Su Wuli said.

"Where else?" Yu Chen asked.

After she finished speaking, Su Wuli did not answer immediately, but looked thoughtful, her eyes darting around.

Finally, seemingly unable to think of anything, she buried her face in his chest and mumbled, "Cold."

Yu Chen pulled his outer robe up a little, and she also shrank into the robe, only her eyes showing.

Seeing that she was indeed a bit cold, Yu Chen said, "Change your clothes."

Su Wuli shook her head, "No change."

Seeing this, Yu Chen pulled her out of his outer robe, but she refused to leave his arms the entire time.

He tugged at her sleeve and she shrank back; he tugged at her collar and she shrank back.

Finally, Yu Chen coaxed and tricked her into putting on the inner garment. Su Wuli looked down at the crooked neckline tie and muttered something.

"It's tied crookedly."

He looked down and saw that it was indeed crooked, so he tied it again.

Su Wuli finally lay down, still holding onto his fingers tightly.

"Don't try to run away while I'm asleep," she warned vaguely.

"Mmm." Yu Chen lay down next to her and hugged her.

She thought for a moment and then added, "If they run away, I'll..."

"What?"

Su Wuli thought for a while but couldn't figure it out, so she snuggled into his arms.

"Anyway, you can't run away."

The mist seeped in through the window cracks, as thin as a layer of gauze.

Su Wuli shifted in his arms, nuzzling her face against his neck and mumbling incoherently.

He didn't hear him clearly, so he looked down and asked, "What?"

There was no response.

outside the house.

Chuhe stood at the door with a bowl of hangover soup, her head down, not daring to look inside.

Steam rose from the rim of the bowl, carrying a sweet and sour aroma.

She knocked gently on the door. "Your Highness, the hangover soup is ready."

Yu Chen looked at the person in his arms, then carefully withdrew his arm and got off the bed.

I opened the door and took the hangover soup.

After closing the door, Yu Chen carried the hangover soup to the bedside.

Su Wuli curled up in the blanket, only her face showing.

Her face was flushed, and her lips were red too.

He reached out and pulled the blanket down, revealing her chin.

She frowned when she noticed the movement, but did not wake up.

Yu Chen sat on the edge of the bed and gently rubbed her face with the back of his hand.

Su Wuli grumbled in dissatisfaction, turned her head away, and buried her face in the pillow.

Helpless, Yu Chen had no choice but to pull her out of the pillow and let her lean against his chest.

Her head rested limply on his shoulder, as if it had no bones.

Yu Chen picked up the bowl and brought it to her lips.

The aroma of hangover soup wafted over, and Su Wuli's nose twitched. After smelling the aroma, she frowned.

She kept her lips pursed and refused to open them.

"Open your mouth," Yu Chen coaxed softly.

Su Wuli shook her head, her face full of resistance.

Yu Chen then used a spoon to scoop up a spoonful and brought it to her lips. She sipped it and finally opened her mouth to drink a mouthful.

After swallowing, his brows furrowed even more.

"It doesn't taste good."

Her voice was filled with grievance.

She turned her head away and buried her face in his neck, refusing to drink any more.

Yu Chen placed the bowl on the bedside table, took a candied fruit from the plate, and put it in his mouth.

The candied fruit is pickled with osmanthus flowers; it's sweet with a hint of sourness.

He lowered his head and pressed his lips to hers.

Su Wuli tasted the sweetness, opened her mouth and slowly sipped the candied fruit between his lips.

The candied fruit melted on her tongue, the fragrance of osmanthus filled her mouth, and her brows slowly relaxed.

She casually spat the candied fruit pits into his palm.

Upon seeing this, Yu Chen picked up the bowl again.

Su Wuli glanced at him, then closed her eyes in protest, buried her face in his neck, and mumbled, "I won't drink."

He looked like a child throwing a tantrum.

Seeing this, Yu Chen had no choice but to put down the bowl and put a candied fruit into his mouth.

Bow your head and cross over.

Su Wuli ate the pear but didn't spit out the pit; she held it on the tip of her tongue with her cheeks puffed out.

She was saying something indistinctly.

"What?" Yu Chen didn't hear clearly.

She spat the pit into his palm and repeated it, with a hint of tattling, "It's bitter."

"The candied fruit is sweet."

Su Wuli shook her head and pointed to the hangover soup in the bowl, "That one is bitter."

As he spoke, the corners of his mouth turned down, as if he had suffered a great injustice.

Yu Chen looked at the corner of her mouth that she was pressing down, picked up the bowl, and took a sip himself.

It's sweet and sour, with a hint of ginger spiciness.

It's not bitter.

His gaze fell on her face.

She was staring at the bowl in his hand, her eyes wary.

He held the bowl to her lips.

Su Wuli immediately turned her head away from him and reached out from under the covers to push his hand away.

If you can't push him, grab his wrist to prevent him from bringing the bowl closer.

"Take another sip," Yu Chen coaxed gently.

Su Wuli shook her head, but stopped after shaking it twice.

Maybe they got dizzy from being shaken.

She paused for a moment and then shook it again, this time slowly, as if she were counting the beats.

Yu Chen placed the bowl on the bedside table and looked down at her.

Su Wuli had her eyes closed, and there was still candied fruit residue on her lips.

He smiled slightly, then picked up the bowl and drank the hangover soup in one gulp.

Almost the next second, Su Wuli seemed to hear the sound of the bowl being placed on the table, and suddenly opened one eye.

I took a peek.

When she found the bowl was empty, she breathed a sigh of relief and slumped into his arms.

She gently rubbed her fingers on the back of his hand.

She closed her eyes peacefully, a slight smile playing on her lips.

She leaned limply against him.

She thought that the hangover soup had already gone into Yu Chen's stomach and was no longer her concern.

Yu Chen looked down at her like this, then reached out and pinched her chin, lifting her face up.

Before Su Wuli could react, his lips were already pressed against hers.

The warm liquid flowed from his mouth to hers, and the hangover soup poured into her mouth.

She paused for a moment and tried to turn her head away, but a large hand gripped her chin, preventing her from moving.

Su Wuli had no choice but to swallow it down; the hangover soup slid down her throat and into her stomach.

It's all due to the spiciness of ginger.

Once Yu Chen loosened his grip, she stared blankly at him as his eyes slowly widened.

Tears welled up in those still-drunk eyes.

"You...liar!"
