You should know that the eighteen levels of hell deep in the underworld contain countless vengeful ghosts, all of whom are inferior beings who are unable to enter the cycle of reincarnation.

It is an important link in the cycle of heaven and earth, specifically used to punish countless evil beings, and is also an important part of the merit and karma system. It is not just a simple world.

In other words, as long as there are people in the world who do evil, they will go to hell after death.

The evil spirits in hell are endless and inexhaustible; there is no possibility that they will ever be completely eradicated.

Trying to convert all the evil spirits in hell is as difficult as ascending to heaven; even a saint would probably shake their head, as it is simply impossible.

Making a grand, almost impossible vow will inevitably lead to suffering the consequences of karma.

While the method of making a grand vow is miraculous and allows one to borrow a great deal of merit in advance—as the two Western Saints did—few people dare to take such a shortcut.

If you fail to fulfill your vow, your karma will gradually become bound to the content of your grand aspiration, and you will never be able to break free, until you eventually perish along with it!

Of course, although we don't know what Ksitigarbha was thinking, since he dared to do this, the benefits he gained from the Great Vow must have been considerable.

As he accumulates experience and continuously converts countless evil spirits, his cultivation and Taoist practice will gradually improve. Through trials and tribulations, he will gain the true essence of the Great Dao and become a top-tier expert.

It can be said that in later Western Buddhism, the highest rank is Buddha, and the next rank is Bodhisattva.

However, Ksitigarbha is the only one who, with the attainment of Bodhisattva status, is comparable to a Buddha, or even a top-level Buddha, and is given the title of "King," meaning the King of all Bodhisattvas!

Of course, Yuan Hong knew that the reason this guy could do this and continue to convert people in hell was obviously because he was a thorn in the side of Buddhism, and he must have the support of the two Western Saints behind him.

That hell is an important part of the underworld, and in theory it should belong to the territory of the Earth God Houtu!

If Houtu existed normally, even if Ksitigarbha had the greatest courage, he wouldn't dare to go to hell to demonstrate the power of Buddhism. Even if he dared, he couldn't do it at all.

Clearly, without Yuan Hong, Houtu would have gradually perished, Meng Po and Ping Xin would have also disappeared, and the future underworld would have been divided up by various forces in the world.

But in this life, Yuan Hong would naturally not allow this situation to happen.
