Jessica muttered, her eyes scanning the room. "Where's the boss? Where did that tireless monster go?"

"He got up early. He said there's a new project to work on at the farm today."

Sarah threw back the covers and got out of bed. "Get up and take a shower, you smell like sulfur. I'll go downstairs and get you something to eat."

Half an hour later. First floor restaurant.

Jessica, wearing a loose hooded sweatshirt and slippers, floated downstairs like a lost soul.

Aya was already sitting at the table, devouring a large plate of crispy bacon and four fried eggs. Judging from how ravenously she was eating, she had clearly exerted herself greatly the night before.

"Good morning." Chen An walked in from outside, holding several express delivery slips in his hand.

He was dressed in light outdoor work clothes today, looking energetic, and you couldn't tell at all what kind of "one against three" battle he had gone through last night.

"Good morning..." Jessica replied weakly and sat down next to Aya.

Sarah brought out several plates of freshly baked waffles, with a small jar of maple syrup from the supermarket next to them.

Chen An sat down, cut a waffle, dipped it in maple syrup, and put it in his mouth.

His brow furrowed slightly.

"This syrup doesn't taste right. It's too cloying, it only tastes like the saccharin sweetness of industrial sugar, and it has no aroma." Chen An put down his fork and looked at the plastic bottle with some disdain.

"This is already the most expensive organic maple syrup you can buy in the town's supermarket," Sarah said with a hint of helplessness.

"Since everyone got used to eating food grown on our farm, you've spoiled their palates."

"How about... I have Ava send some high-quality honey from San Francisco?"

"You don't need to buy from others."

Chen An wiped his mouth, a hint of the fervor of a farm owner flashing in his eyes.

"Since we have the best strawberries and the best beef in the country, how can we tolerate this kind of industrial assembly line garbage on our tables?"

"That's why I'm going to keep bees," Chen An announced.

"Beekeeping?!" Jessica nearly spat out the mouthful of milk she had just taken a sip. "You're going to raise those stinging little monsters on a farm?"

"They are nature's porters."

Chen An stood up and pointed out the window to the pastures and hillsides where tender buds had begun to sprout and some early spring wildflowers had already bloomed.

"We have wildflowers covering the mountains and plains, pure snowmelt, and plants that grow by drinking divine water."

"If bees are allowed to collect nectar in this environment... what they produce is true 'liquid gold'."

New Zealand's Manuka honey can fetch exorbitant prices because of its unique plant resources and pristine environment.

Titan Estate's environment is a hundred times better than that of New Zealand.

"Iron Head!" Chen An shouted towards the door.

"Boss's here!" Iron Head pushed the door open and came in. "The batch of 'little devils' you asked me to order just arrived from Kalispel Airport. They're over at the barn!"

……

Twenty minutes later. Beside the birch forest on the edge of the farm.

This sheltered, sunny spot, next to the clear sunset stream, is an ideal location for placing beehives.

More than a dozen brand-new multi-layered wooden beehives have been moved here by Tie Tou and his team.

"I had someone airlift these top-quality purebred Caucasian honeybees from the Caucasus region."

Chen An put on a wide-brimmed bee-proof hat and held a smoke gun that emitted blue smoke in his hand.

"This type of bee is relatively docile, but has an extremely strong ability to collect nectar, especially from flowers with deep tubes."

Aya stood not far from the beehives, her eyes filled with curiosity.

As a Native American, she had a natural affinity for the creatures of nature.

They didn't even wear bee protection clothing; they just quietly watched the tiny golden insects flying in mid-air.

And Jessica...

"Oh my god! Get away from me! It's stopped on my mask!"

Jessica's current look is absolutely hilarious.

She not only wore a full white bee protection suit, but also wrapped her cuffs and trouser legs tightly with tape.

She looked like a giant cotton candy walking in the snow.

She was holding a twig, futilely trying to shoo away a few curious bees that flew by.

"Can you please be quiet?"

Chen An walked over with the smoke gun and gently blew a puff of smoke into Jessica's mask.

As the white smoke dissipated, the bees were immediately soothed by the smoke and flew away leisurely.

"This smoke is used to simulate a forest fire. When bees smell the smoke, they will think that a big fire is coming, so they will frantically suck up honey in preparation for escaping. Once they are full of honey, they will not be able to bend down to sting people."

Looking through the bee-proof netting at the pale, frightened little face inside, Chen An couldn't help but find it amusing.

"Take off your bee suit; I'm afraid you'll suffocate like that. As long as you don't attack them, they won't sting you."

"I won't take it off! I'd rather die than take it off!" Jessica clutched her neckline tightly, as if a pack of man-eating monsters were outside.

"Whatever you like, Miss Cotton Candy."

Chen An turned around and walked towards the beehive.

Without wearing gloves, he opened the lid of one of the beehives with his bare hands.

"Buzz—"

Countless bees crawled on the honeycomb.

Chen An's movements were extremely gentle and slow, without the slightest hint of panic.

He pulled out one of the combs and examined it in the sunlight.

There were already tiny specks of golden, translucent new honey on it.

This is the worker bees' original reserves and what they collected in the short few hours after they were released.

Aya curiously came closer.

She watched as Chen An's steady, large hands moved through the swarm of bees, and not a single bee attacked him.

"They seem to like you a lot," Aya said softly.

"Animals are more sensible than humans. If you don't intend to kill it, it won't leave its venomous stinger for you."

Chen An gently scraped the edge of the honeycomb with his finger, picking up a tiny bit of extremely fresh raw honey.

He turned his head, looked at Aya who was so close to him, and brought the honey-smeared finger to her lips.

"Try it."

Without hesitation, Aya opened her mouth and took Chen An's finger into her mouth.

The warm tip of my tongue swept away that little bit of golden liquid.

The next second, Aya's eyes lit up.

"It's so sweet... and there's a... indescribable floral scent. This is even better than the mint tea we drank in the desert."

"Because it smells like Titan Manor."

Chen An withdrew his finger, scraped off a little more, and tasted it himself.

It was truly stunning.

Although it's only the first flush and the concentration isn't high, the refreshing fragrance of a hundred flowers, mixed with a hint of sweetness that seems to cleanse the soul, melts instantly on the tip of the tongue.

If you wait until the height of summer, when the mountains are covered in blooming flowers, the capped, matured honey produced will be an absolutely divine ingredient.

"The boss is biased! I want to try it too!"

Seeing this, Jessica, who was standing not far away and was called "Giant Cotton Candy," overcame her fear and clumsily moved over.

She tried to remove her mask, but the gloves were too thick and she couldn't open them.

"Turn around."

Chen An gave the order helplessly.

Jessica obediently turned around.

Chen An helped her unzip her bee suit, lifted the mask halfway, revealing a pretty face that was flushed and covered in fine sweat.

Chen An scraped off a little more honey and stuffed it into her chattering little mouth.

"Hmm!"

Jessica fell silent instantly, closing her eyes to savor the sweetness. "It's so delicious! If I had this with waffles, I could eat ten!"

"From now on, this will be your exclusive beauty secret. Just make a cup of honey water every morning; it'll be much more effective than those skincare products you buy in Los Angeles that cost thousands of dollars."

Chen An carefully placed the honeycomb back into the hive and closed the lid.
