Everyone's a Hunter? I'm a Hunter x Hunter!

"I'll go back and learn some riding skills from Lü Bu," Lü Xiu thought to himself.

Horsemanship is a hunter's skill. Lu Bu has already reached the master level, while I haven't even scratched the surface.

In preparation for future mounted archery hunts, Lü Xiu felt it was essential to master this skill.

Come to think of it, Lü Bu doesn't seem to have a mount yet.

Why wasn't Red Hare summoned along with the main character...?

Considering Lu Bu's skills, he definitely needs a mount.

But what mount could match Lü Bu? Lü Xiu immediately thought of the "Crimson Flame Imperial Mane," a king-level individual mythical beast from the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild.

Ordinary horses are just a burden to Lü Bu, and the Crimson Emperor's Mane is currently the same, but if he trains it himself, the Crimson Emperor's Mane might be useful in the future.

Of course, Lü Xiu did not intend to make Crimson Flame Emperor Mane his third magical beast.

Taming equine mythical beasts is easier than taming ordinary mythical beasts. Once truly tamed, their loyalty remains the same regardless of whether a mythical beast contract exists. The only difference is that understanding their inner thoughts makes them slightly more difficult to control and to cultivate a bond with. However, Lu Bu's horsemanship is masterful.

Lu Xiu had great confidence in him.

I'll buy the Crimson Flame Emperor's Mane and keep it in the Immortal Realm of the Book, releasing it only when needed.

You know what, after discovering the fairyland in the book, Lü Xiu felt like he could launch a surprise attack.

Hide a bunch of people in the fairyland in the book, then go to a local city and suddenly unleash an army!

A divine weapon descends from the heavens! Invincible!

I'm thinking too far ahead.

Returning to the Crimson Emperor's Mane itself.

"How much did Liu Yuerou say the Crimson Flame Emperor's Mane cost?" Lu Xiu remembered asking before leaving; it seemed to be several hundred million...

Several hundred million!

Gan!

That's equivalent to several skill books with perfect skills.

Another place to spend money.

Lu Xiu rubbed his temples.

Let's put the Crimson Flame Emperor's Mane aside for now. He simply doesn't have that much funding at the moment.

...

Upon arriving at the city lord's mansion, after stating his name and purpose, the attendants quickly welcomed Lü Xiu inside.

The chief steward of the city lord's mansion had been waiting for Lü Xiu for a long time.

"This is the catalog of perfect-level skill books in the City Lord's Mansion. Tell me which one you want. There's no rush. You can take it back and look at it at your leisure. You can pick it up anytime." The steward handed Lu Xiu a catalog.

Lu Xiu had seen similar catalogs when buying things at the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild. Compared to directly entering the treasure vault to choose, using these catalogs was more convenient. However, the City Lord's Mansion's inventory was not as comprehensive or as extensive as the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild's, and the catalogs were mostly categorized by profession.

Lu Xiu glanced at them briefly, and thought, "Hmm... I want them all."

But none of the skill books truly amazed me.

There are many skills I currently lack.

There are no perfect-level skill books yet for archery, swordsmanship, and the control of undead and wood attributes.

Lü Xiu also knew the principle of not biting off more than you can chew.

The difference between LV1 and LV10 of a skill is enormous. This is especially true for higher-level skills. Learning many more skills is not as effective as mastering one skill to its highest level.

Lü Xiu also planned his future path and skill choices.

He decided to use a knife for close combat and a bow for ranged attacks even before embarking on his path as a professional hunter. Giving up on that was practically impossible.

For elements, Lü Xiu plans to focus on one or two key specializations, which will be sufficient.

Prioritize the undead attribute, since it comes from Lu Bu's undead attribute, starting with "Master level", which is currently the highest level among Lu Xiu's skills!

Imagine the time and effort you would spend improving your archery and trap-making skills to a high level.

With a higher Master-level Undead attribute, Lü Xiu had no reason not to use it. Unfortunately, the skill catalog provided by the City Lord's Mansion didn't include any Undead skills, at least not at the Perfect level.

As for the earth and wood attributes...

Lu Xiu didn't know whether the subsequent upgrades of the "Taiping Yaoshu" would improve his control over elements, so earth and wood attributes were only secondary choices.

However, according to Lü Xiu's thinking, whether it's a priority or a secondary option, since he possesses this power, he can't lack the necessary skills.

Who knows when it came in handy?

However, to do this, Lü Xiu would need to make a lot of money.

I'm suddenly a little envious of hunters who only have one profession and master only one elemental power. They don't have to rack their brains so much when choosing skills!

"Then... I'll take it back and choose slowly." Lu Xiu accepted the catalog, got up and left.

The chief steward of the city lord's mansion escorted Lü Xiu all the way to the door.

After leaving the city lord's mansion, Lü Xiu went directly to the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild.

Find Old Xiao and slap the catalog from the City Lord's Mansion that you just got in front of him.

"Old Xiao, I want to sell a skill book. Can you help me see which one is the most expensive?"

Since we can't decide, then we don't need to choose. Just pick the skill book that's the most expensive!

As long as you have the money, you can still buy perfect-level skill books at the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild.

If you don't know which book is the most expensive, then find someone who does to choose it!

Old Xiao was dumbfounded by Lü Xiu's actions, but he quickly picked up the catalog in front of him and carefully examined and selected items.

Ultimately, he chose a skill book called "Meteor Axe".

This is a book about perfect hunting techniques using throwing axes...

Hmm, you know what, it actually makes perfect sense.

Because of the weapon forging competition, in addition to improving their forging skills, all contestants who want to participate must also have the hunting skill of throwing axes!

Throwing axes are already considered "unconventional weapons," and skill books for hunting are scarce. Let alone a perfect one!

They are extremely rare!

Scarcity drives up value, and the price of a throwing axe is only going to be high, not low.

Normally, a skill book for the throwing axe, being a niche and uncommon skill, would only be worth 20 to 30 million even at its perfect level, and there's no guarantee anyone would buy it. But now, with weapon hunters vying for first place in the weapon forging competition, its price has naturally skyrocketed, potentially increasing five to ten times!

"I suggest you exchange this Meteor Axe for a copy, and then apply to join the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild for an auction in three days. The profits should be higher," Old Xiao suggested.

"Auction..." Lu Xiu suddenly remembered that in the game, before the annual year-end celebration in Nantian Port, the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild would auction off some items related to the celebration.

For example, last year's preliminary round of the food competition involved making ramen, so the Floating Cloud Chamber of Commerce auctioned off high-quality ramen recipes.

This year's weapon forging competition focuses on crafting throwing axes. So, what are the ore materials needed for forging throwing axes, and what hunting skills are required...?

"Okay," Lü Xiu decided immediately. "Could you please register this for me?"

"Oh, and could you also give me a recipe catalog for steamed buns?"

"There's also a catalog of rare beans."

"A catalog of premium and rare plant seeds"

"A catalog of materials for improving soil and water quality," Lü Xiu continued.

"Okay, please wait a moment." Upon hearing Lu Xiu's request, Lao Xiao immediately knew that another big order had come his way, and he would definitely get his commission. This time, he didn't send anyone else; he simply went to collect the information for Lu Xiu himself.
