Everyone's a Hunter? I'm a Hunter x Hunter!

The Golden Gathering has officially begun.

As one of the hosts, Lin Nanwen gradually became busier.

Disputes arise daily, between the Chamber of Commerce and its customers, and between the Chamber of Commerce and the hunting party.

When the two sides cannot reach a proper agreement, then it is necessary for members of the [Golden Gathering], who are titled hunters, to step in.

However, the outside disturbances had nothing to do with Lü Xiu and Ma Qilin, and their days became increasingly peaceful and monotonous.

Every day, I practiced archery and whip techniques.

In the evenings, Lü Xiu would spar with Lin Yufei whenever he had free time, practicing his swordsmanship. Meanwhile, Ma Qilin would go looking for Niu Jiaojiao.

The relationship between the two progressed rapidly. Although Niu Jiaojiao hadn't accepted Ma Qilin's advances yet, it was only a matter of time.

It's almost the end of July.

Ding Qiaoqiao delivered the leather armor set that she had ordered earlier to Lü Xiu.

He allocated all the previously stored free attribute points to levels where all attributes were basically at 100. Since storing single-digit free attribute points is not very meaningful for attributes with three-digit values, he allocated them all as well.

Now, Lü Xiu felt incredibly strong.

However, it's not time for me to come out of seclusion yet.

We still need to hone our skills.

In early August, the cooldown period of the Source Artifact "Greedy Treasure Chest" ended, and it gave Lü Xiu a treasure map.

Unfortunately, Lü Xiu's good luck seemed to have failed him this time.

I only got a basic treasure map.

Beginner Treasure Map (Nantian Port)

Effect: Automatically generates a guide when the treasure is within 1,000 meters.

Description: A map marking the locations of buried treasures. Follow the markings on the treasure map to find the treasures.

"Nantian Port..." This is a place that Lü Xiu must visit.

The career advancement event will be held in Nantian Port.

But there are still about five months before I can begin my career advancement.

Shall we go now?

"It seems like there's no particular destination after the Golden Gathering ends," Lu Xiu pondered.

It would be good to go to Nantian Port in advance.

Every year near the end of the year, Nantian Port holds a grand celebration, so grand that even Lü Xiu had heard about it in Tianqing Town.

It is said that there will be five major competition events, targeting hunters of different professions.

Lü Xiu still remembers some of the competition details.

The "Forging and Smelting" competition is designed for weapon hunters. Participants use metals provided by the official organization to forge weapons and compete to see who can make the best one. The winner will receive a treasure-level masterpiece and a perfect-grade metal material.

The "Beast Taming Frenzy" for Beast Hunters is a race where you ride a Beast in a race. The reward is a rare Beast Skill and an extremely rare Beast Egg.

Gourmet Hunter seems to be a competitive eating contest, but Lu Xiu can't remember the specifics.

The competitions at Nantian Port are different every year, and the three events that Lü Xiu remembers are from last year.

The competition does not restrict the participants' professions, but the hunter profession is the most likely to win, and the rewards are extremely generous.

That will be the busiest time in Nantian Port.

Many novice hunters will come to South Sky Harbor to join in the fun at this time, and then participate in the annual job advancement after the New Year.

The time is just right.

If Lü Xiu goes after the Golden Gathering ends, it will be relatively early, but he can make preparations in advance, and the hunting resources near Nantian Port are also excellent.

Let's leave it at that for now.

However... plans seem to go awry.

On August 15th, when the Golden Gathering ended, Lü Xiu's archery skills reached the advanced level.

Finally, we can fire all three arrows at once, hitting the target every time within a kilometer!

Immediately, Lü Xiu learned the treasure-level hunting skill "Spiral Arrow." He now had a deadly archery move of his own.

The whip technique has also been improved. It's currently at Intermediate 2/1000.

He barely reached the learning threshold for "rope skills".

Because of his constant sparring with Lin Yufei, Lü Xiu's swordsmanship has improved significantly, currently at the intermediate level of 877/1000, just one step away from the advanced level. Unfortunately, with the Golden Gathering ending and Lin Yufei and Nie Fengyun leaving Jinqian Valley, Lü Xiu will lose a good sparring partner.

Lin Nanwen and Ma Qilin are also leaving Jinqian Valley.

"Master, let's go back, don't see me off."

"Lu Xiu, see you at Nantian Port!" Ma Qilin waved to Lu Xiu and Lin Nanwen from the Fuyun Chamber of Commerce's carriage, with Niu Jiaojiao beside him.

Niu Jiaojiao eventually accepted Ma Qilin's advances.

However, Ma Qilin failed to persuade Niu Jiaojiao to stay, and instead ended up getting himself involved. He is now going with Niu Jiaojiao to the headquarters of the Floating Cloud Chamber of Commerce in Nantian Port.

Lin Nanwen watched his disciple walk away, shook his head slightly, and sighed softly.

It seems the main account is ruined; now it's time to try the alt account.

"Lu Xiu, would you be willing to become my disciple?" Lin Nanwen suddenly turned to Lu Xiu and asked.

Lu Xiu was taken aback for a moment, then immediately agreed.

"Of course, it's my honor."

"Call me Master."

"Master"

"Alright, from now on you are my apprentice." Lin Nanwen said, taking a skill book from his spatial backpack and handing it to Lü Xiu. "This is a gift for becoming my apprentice."

relentless pursuit

Grade: Perfect

Learning Requirements: Beast Hunter

Description: Once marked, the hunt will never end, no matter where you go.

"Perfect level?" Lu Xiu was surprised. Apart from the epic-level pet skill "Beast King Transformation" he obtained from the platinum treasure chest, this was the highest-level skill book he had ever seen.

"Take it, Qilin gets one too."

"Thank you, Master." Lu Xiu quickly took the skill book and used it immediately.

[Relentless Pursuit: Beast Skill, LV1. Applies a "Pursuit Mark" to a designated target, visible only to the user and their pet. This mark will not fade on its own. When the user or their pet attacks the target, it deals an additional 25% damage. Cooldown: 1 hour]

"Any plans for the next day? If not, come with me to the hunting area. Your whip skills have reached the intermediate level, so it's time to teach you rope techniques," Lin Nanwen invited.

"No arrangements have been made," Lü Xiu replied without hesitation.

The treasure map in Nantian Port can be dug up later. Anyway, the treasure chest is formed from the treasure map, so it won't be stolen just because you're too late.

As for the celebrations at Nantian Port, it's not too late to go in two or three months.

"Alright, let's set off then," Lin Nanwen said, patting the hurricane falcon on his shoulder.

The hurricane falcon soared into the sky, rapidly expanding from the size of a parrot to the size of an airplane! And faint, streamlined golden markings appeared on its body, instantly elevating its status.

Lin Nanwen skillfully jumped onto the back of the Hurricane Falcon and beckoned Lü Xiu to come up.

"Is becoming an apprentice... really that simple?" Lu Xiu asked in confusion. He had only called him "Master," shouldn't there be a formal apprenticeship process to go through?

"The apprenticeship ceremony is just a formality. If someone truly treats me as their master, they will treat me as their master even without these formalities. If they don't treat me as their master, then having an apprenticeship ceremony is useless." Lin Nanwen doesn't like these formalities.

Since his master had to make the request, Lü Xiu didn't care much. In his previous life, he was just an ordinary person, and his impression of becoming a disciple only came from TV dramas.

He jumped onto the back of the hurricane falcon and quickly sat down, gripping the feathers tightly with both hands.

Get ready to go to heaven!

The hurricane falcon took off immediately.

With a flap of its wings, it sprinted forward and accelerated, transforming into a streak of azure light that streaked towards the sky in the blink of an eye.

Lu Xiu, who had mentally prepared himself to be thrown off, quickly discovered that there seemed to be no fierce wind around him as expected. He soon noticed that there was a faint blue light on the Hurricane Falcon, which enveloped him and his master Lin Nanwen, acting like a protective shield to keep out the surrounding gale.

That's pretty amazing...
