Everyone's a Hunter? I'm a Hunter x Hunter!

Close the book.

Lu Xiu got up and left.

The book "Illustrated Compendium of Elemental Creatures" doesn't record much, but it did confirm to me that the Shadow Demons' food is dark element.

As for what kind of creature his "Shadow King" should fuse with, Lü Xiu had no clue at the moment.

Based on the information provided in the encyclopedia.

Beings that are born with low intelligence, or lack reason and are mentally weak, can be fused together.

That means there are basically no limitations on the goals you can choose.

If there is a good mythical beast, you can make the Shadow King fuse with it after you beat it until it is weak.

I came down from the third floor of the Hunter Association building. By then, all the Hunter Association's staff had already left.

Lu Xiu did not linger, but went to the shop next door.

The shop next to the Hunter's Guild is the largest pet material shop in Sunny Town, both buying and selling materials.

However, the quality is relatively low, with only common and fine-quality materials available.

Before becoming a hunter, Lü Xiu processed most of the materials he obtained from hunting in the wild at this place.

"Sister Xiu," Lu Xiu greeted as she entered.

"Oh, it's Lü Xiu! Good morning!"

Today, the cashier in the shop is Yan Xiuxiu, the shop owner's daughter. She's a gourmet hunter, but since she has no interest in hunting, she runs the shop for her father and occasionally... sneaks a bite.

When Lü Xiu arrived, she was eating shredded squid.

A type of squid caught from the near sea, dried and torn apart to eat, with a slightly salty seawater flavor that gets better with each bite.

"I've come to buy some materials for magical beasts," Lu Xiu said, expertly picking up some dried squid from the counter and stuffing it into his mouth.

Yan Xiuxiu simply took out a bag of dried squid from under the counter and handed it to Lü Xiu. The two of them often shared snacks.

"What would you like to order?"

"I need some dark element materials, preferably pure dark element crystals. Common grade is fine, but high grade is better."

"Dark element materials and dark element crystals? Sold out," Yan Xiuxiu said after thinking carefully.

"Sold out?"

"Well, there's not much demand for dark element materials to begin with, and the shop doesn't keep much stock on weekdays. Three days ago, someone came and bought all the dark and fire element materials. My dad went to the city to buy more today, so we'll probably have to wait four or five days for dark element materials," Yan Xiuxiu explained.

Lu Xiu scratched his head. What an unfortunate coincidence?

Four or five days isn't a long time, but his Shadow King probably couldn't wait. Since being hatched, the Shadow King hadn't eaten. That's why Lü Xiu hadn't released it from the Beast Realm.

I get hungrier when I'm outside.

"Then I'll go ask at other shops." There isn't only one shop in Tianqing Town that sells materials for magical beasts.

"Fire elemental materials are alright; I can probably buy some of those common materials from other hunters in the next couple of days. But dark elemental materials..."

"My dad originally planned to buy some supplies from other shops as an emergency measure, and then go into the city to shop again in a few days, but all the other shops were sold out."

"What kind of thing do you need so many dark element materials for?" Lu Xiu was speechless.

"Use it urgently?" Yan Xiuxiu asked, seeing Lu Xiu's troubled expression.

"Do you have other channels?" Lu Xiu asked.

"I can't say I have a channel, but I know where to find mythical beasts with dark elements. If you want dark element materials, you'll have to hunt them yourself."

"That works too." Lu Xiu really didn't know where there were any magical beasts with dark elements near Tianqing Town.

The mythical beasts on the Sea Breeze Plains are mostly of the water and wind element. In contrast, the mythical beasts in the Breeze Forest are mostly of the wind and wood element.

"Deep in the Breeze Forest, near Mount Egret, there is a crescent-shaped lake. Five hundred meters east of the foot of the mountain, there is an abandoned Dark Crystal Mine. It is full of Dark Claw Moles, Shadow Crystal Rocks, and other creatures. When I first became a hunter, my friends and I went there to complete some quests."

"But that was six months ago."

Lu Xiu nodded. "Okay, I'll go take a look."

"Thanks," Lu Xiu waved and left.

"It's a small matter," Yan Xiuxiu leaned against the counter and continued to enjoy her food.

After leaving the shop, Lü Xiu went to several other shops that sold materials for magical beasts. It wasn't that he didn't trust Yan Xiuxiu; three days had passed since that person bought the dark element materials, and who knew if some hunters had already hunted them down and sold them to other shops.

Lu Xiu took a stroll and did have some gains: two branches of the "Shadow Locust Tree," of ordinary grade, with a quality of less than 30.

Each one costs 200 Alliance Coins, which is ridiculously expensive. Not to mention, the Shadow King swallowed the dark element on it in one gulp, and it was like eating two sunflower seeds; it wasn't filling at all.

Shadow King: Daddy! I'm hungry! Food! ( ˘•ω•˘ )

"I still have to hunt myself..." Lü Xiu sighed helplessly and began to consider the address provided by Yan Xiuxiu.

Deep in the Breeze Forest, near Mount Vulture, was a place I had never ventured into before.

It's good to go and take a look. We can hunt some mythical beasts along the way and level up.

Six months later, he will participate in the professional advancement, which requires him to reach level 40. However, after experiencing "Shadow Mist Assassination," Lü Xiu is not worried about the efficiency of leveling up at all.

Having made up his mind, Lü Xiu got up and headed to the Hunter Association.

Go see if there are any suitable commissions. If it's on your way, you can earn some extra money.

After reviewing several quests at the Hunter's Guild, I finally settled on one.

【Plump bear paws (★★)】

[Commission Objective: Hunt down a "Brutal Bear Paw" with a quality rating of 80 or higher.]

[Commission Reward: 2,000-5,000 Alliance Coins, Wind-attribute Mythical Beast Materials of Equivalent Grade and Quality]

[Service time limit: 7 days, 15 hours, and 15 minutes]

[Task Description: I've been dreaming of eating bear paws! Unfortunately, I'm not strong enough. I'd appreciate it if you experts could help me out. (Note: The higher the quality of the bear paw, the greater the reward. If you submit a treasure-level bear paw, the quest giver an extra recipe for bear paws.)]

The Violent Bear is a bear-like mythical beast that possesses no elemental power but has an extremely strong physique, which makes its meat exceptionally succulent.

Its enormous bear paws, in particular, could be used to create a delicacy even from the finest ingredients, making them incredibly tempting for gourmet hunters.

However, due to the powerful strength of the Viper Bear and its relatively small number in the Breeze Forest, Viper Bear paws have always been a sought-after ingredient.

Lu Xiu once stumbled upon a ferocious bear, but at that time he hadn't yet become a full-fledged hunter and was too weak to make a move.

Now that our strength has increased significantly, we might as well go and take a look.

Even if it has already been hunted, it doesn't matter. The commission is for bear paws, so it's fine whether you accept it or not.

Anyway, the location of that violent bear is deep in the Breeze Forest, so it's just a side trip.

After confirming that there were no other requests that could be completed along the way, Lü Xiu got up and headed towards the Breeze Forest.

I always keep the necessary equipment in my spatial backpack, so I don't need to prepare anything extra. My sister went out for medical treatment, and she didn't even need to say goodbye; she just left whenever she wanted.
