Everyone's a Hunter? I'm a Hunter x Hunter!

The rain keeps falling.

The atmosphere was fairly harmonious.

Lu Xiu stood at the cave entrance, a position that allowed him to advance or retreat as needed.

It's possible that the wild boar has a partner. These days, it's mostly single people who seem to be the majority.

Leaning against the wall at the cave entrance, Lü Xiu examined the two items he had just obtained from the Platinum Treasure Chest.

First is the parchment scroll, which is a skill scroll.

Beast King Transformation (Mythical Beast Skill)

Grade: Epic

Learning Requirements: Beast Hunter

Description: Within a short period of time, it merges with its own mythical beast, possessing all of the beast's abilities and awakening its unique skills.

The very first item you get is an epic-level skill?!

Lu Xiu's breathing became rapid.

Epic-level pet skill!

Just like Wang Xiaoming's culinary skill "calorie modification," only food hunters can learn it.

The Beast King Transformation skill is a skill that only Beast Hunters can learn.

If a mere treasure-level heat modification could bring about such a dramatic change in Wang Xiaoming, then what about the epic-level pet skill "Beast King Transformation," which is two levels above heat modification?

Lü Xiu was incredibly excited!

"Luckily, I awakened the Beast Hunter skill," Lu Xiu said without hesitation, choosing to use it directly. If he had awakened the Knowledge Hunter skill before, this "Beast King Transformation" skill book would probably have been gathering dust in his inventory for a long time.

If you want to offer something in exchange, hehe...

A new skill was immediately added to the skill bar.

[Beast King Transformation: Beast Skill, merges with your own beast, temporarily gaining 100% of the beast's attributes and skills, and awakening its exclusive skill. Duration: 10 minutes, Cooldown: 24 hours]

"It lasts for 10 minutes, but the cooldown is 24 hours. It seems to be a powerful skill," Lu Xiu pondered.

However, he has no way to test the specific effects right now, since he doesn't have his first mythical beast yet.

Let's move on to the second prop.

It was a black stone. Lu Xiu had thought it was ore, but the result was beyond his expectations. It was the egg of a mythical beast.

Shadow King Seed

Grade: Epic

Description: Contains the crystallization of a king among the Shadow Demons. When blood is dripped onto it, a phantom beast contract will automatically form.

"The king of the Shadow Demon race..."

Lü Xiu carefully recalled the knowledge he had learned from his textbooks.

He had no recollection of the Shadow Demon race.

But he was very clear about the phrase "King of Individuals".

No two mythical beasts in the world are exactly alike; even those of the same species have individual differences.

This difference is generally not significant. However, once a difference is broken, it becomes a "special individual".

There are many kinds of special individuals.

"King Individuals" who are born powerful and can command their own kind; "Limit Individuals" whose physical abilities have reached the limits of their race; "Mutant Individuals" who have mutated after consuming rare and precious herbs, etc.

Without exception, these special mythical beasts are highly sought after by all hunters.

Monster hunters yearn to capture them as their pets.

Other hunters want to hunt them because the materials they produce are of higher quality than those from ordinary mythical beasts.

Lu Xiu was once again relieved that he had awakened as a Beast Hunter first. However, after opening two treasure chests containing items he needed, he began to guess that the treasure chests on the treasure map might be designed to contain items corresponding to his class.

Lu Xiu knew very little about the treasure maps produced by the Greedy Chest.

I thought the treasure map was telling me where the treasure was, but I never expected it to just magically materialize into a treasure chest in a certain place.

In this way, I won't have to rush to find the treasure chests marked on the treasure map anymore, and I won't have to worry about others opening the treasure chests marked on the treasure map first.

Following the Shadow King's instructions, Lü Xiu dripped his own blood onto it.

The blood was immediately absorbed by the Shadow King upon landing on it. The next moment, the black stone began to vaporize, and a faint black mist gradually spread out.

Until the Shadow King Seed in Lü Xiu's hand completely turned into a pervasive black mist.

[The Beast Contract has been completed. You have obtained the Beast "Shadow King" buff: Agility +1, Spirit +2, Skill: Shadow Robe (Wearing the Shadow King as clothing, you become invisible in darkness and shadows, concealing your presence and voice, and gaining darkvision)]

At the same time, the panel for Shadow Fiend also appeared in front of Lu Xiu.

Shadow King (King-level individual of the Shadow Demon race)

Rating: 1

Attributes: Strength 5, Agility 12, Constitution 1, Spirit 21

Talent Skill: Shadow Fusion (Permanently fuses with a certain creature. Upon successful fusion, the target's consciousness is erased. If the target's spirit is stronger than one's own, it will be erased instead.)

King's Skill: Great Dark Heaven (LV1, creates a dark world centered on oneself)

Elemental Control: Dark (Beginner)

Skills: Shadow (Passive, grants "absolute invisibility" when in darkness or shadow), Elemental Body (Passive, grants immunity to all physical attacks), Shadow Ray (LV1, delivers a shadow energy shock to the target).

After reading about the attributes of the Shadow King, Lü Xiu roughly understood what it was.

Elemental organisms.

Elemental Body is a passive skill possessed only by all elemental creatures.

Its attributes are not bad, but it is a bit unbalanced. Its physique is only 1, but its spirit is as high as 21, which is higher than its master, Lü Xiu.

It seems to be a magic-based damage dealer.

However... it's not always the case.

Shadow Fiend's innate ability, "Shadow Fusion," allows it to merge with other creatures...

"Go back and check out information about Shadow Demon." Overall, Lü Xiu was quite satisfied with his first phantom beast.

Elemental creatures are considered rare mythical beasts, let alone their own Shadow King, which is "the king of the Shadow Demon race." For most mythical beast hunters, this is the partner they dream of.

"Is its form black mist?" Lu Xiu asked, gazing at the mist that permeated the surroundings.

Something feels off.

It didn't feel like I was raising a mythical beast at all.

As soon as he finished speaking, the black mist that had been spreading around began to recede little by little, condensing and becoming concentrated, eventually turning into a dark cloud that floated in mid-air and then circled around Lü Xiu like a puppy.

It seems that it understood the instructions.

"Try using a shadow ray," Lu Xiu pointed to a tree in the distance and issued the attack command.

The spinning Shadow Demon immediately stopped, and "the sea of clouds churned," with vortexes quickly appearing on its surface.

"puff!"

A beam of black energy, as thick as a thumb, shot out from the vortex and instantly struck the tree that Lü Xiu was pointing to.

Once the black energy beam disappeared, Lü Xiu could clearly see that the tree, which required two people to encircle, had been pierced through the middle by the shadow ray, and dark power remained on it, gradually beginning to corrode the tree.

Soon, the hole, which was originally only the thickness of a thumb, expanded to the size of a fist.

"Not bad!" Lu Xiu patted Shadow King with satisfaction.

Praised, Shadow King happily circled around Lü Xiu again.

Only then did Lü Xiu begin to feel like he was raising a pet.
