Everyone's a Hunter? I'm a Hunter x Hunter!

the next day.

In the morning, Lü Xiu went to inspect the sewers of Nantian Port, and in the afternoon he visited Ye Xuan in his office.

"You need a trap that Du Shixin can't escape and an epic-level material with ice attributes?" Ye Xuan nodded after thinking carefully upon hearing Lü Xiu's request. "I have both the trap and the material, and I can give them to you right now. But I must tell you in advance that any resources you consume now will be deducted from your commission fee."

"Of course, thank you for your trouble." Lu Xiu didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

If the reward for killing Du Shixin belongs entirely to me, then I will naturally have to pay for all the supplies consumed during the operation.

The fact that Ye Xuan and Nie Fengyun were able to take action was due to both his own connections and the support of these two senior members of the [Golden Gathering].

In the future, Lü Xiu may also lend a hand in helping to mentor younger generations.

Furthermore, Ye Xuan was able to provide him with what he needed first, thanks to the assistance of the [Golden Gathering] organization.

"Okay, wait here for me for a moment, I'll be right back." Ye Xuan got up to get the traps and materials.

Watching Ye Xuan's departing figure, Lü Xiu pondered the next step of the plan.

After thinking about it all night and this morning.

Lü Xiu decided to use the second option.

Use a trap to ensnare Du Shixin, and then kill him.

The difficulty of the first plan lies in "locating Du Shixin's whereabouts," a problem that Lü Xiu has been unable to solve.

He possesses two positioning skills. One is Starbeak's "Star Eye," which allows him to set up an invisible clone at a fixed location that can be shared as a vision clone.

When Lü Xiu went to investigate in the morning, he tested it. The barrier against perception constructed by [Nest] could sever the connection between the Star Eye and the Star Beak. Unless Lü Xiu also crossed that barrier, it would be useless. But once he crossed that barrier, it would alert the [Nest] organization.

Furthermore, Lü Xiu did not believe that such a large organization as [Nest] had not seen through the method of invisibility.

Allowing a spy to enter without authorization could easily alert the enemy.

The other one is "Relentless Pursuit". The mark that Relentless Pursuit places on the target is not invisibility, so there is no need to worry about breaking invisibility. It is also not an additional status effect, so the opponent cannot detect it at all.

But Lü Xiu would have to see Du Shixin in person before he could mark him and keep hunting him.

But if Du Shixin dares to come out of the sewers, then it won't be Lu Xiu's turn to preside over the hunt for Du Shixin this time.

As for the second option, Lü Xiu already had a rough plan.

Not long after, Ye Xuan returned and handed a formation plate and an ice crystal box to Lü Xiu.

Hundred Dragon Imprisoning Formation

Grade: Epic

Effect: When activated, it shoots out one hundred array patterns containing various elements to attack the target and immediately weaves them into an indestructible cage.

Number of uses: 1/3

Description: The masterpiece of the genius array master "Compass", a top-level imprisoning array that is said to be able to trap even real dragons.

...

Ice Dragon Horror Cloak

Grade: Epic

Quality: 28

Description: The shed skin of the Frozen Flying Dragon is a highly concentrated form of ice power, capable of resisting the ice of the polar regions. However, without a matching ice element to control it, anyone who touches it will be instantly frozen into a lifeless ice pillar.

"An epic array plate..." Lu Xiu looked at the array plate in front of him and remembered that he once had the idea of learning arrays to assist in traps.

The idea of instantly setting up a trap can indeed be achieved using formations.

"I could learn some formations after this incident..."

As for the epic materials, Lü Xiu had other uses for them.

"How is it?" Ye Xuan asked.

"Okay, thank you, Chairman Ye." Lü Xiu nodded repeatedly. "Let's meet in the conference room again tonight. I'll invite Chairman Nie over, and I'll explain my proposal."

"Okay, then I'll wait for your plan tonight." Ye Xuan wasn't surprised that Lü Xiu needed a sophisticated trap.

Based on the results of their discussion yesterday, Lü Xiu should have chosen the second option.

But why would you need an epic-level ice-attribute material?

Does Lü Xiu want to strengthen himself again before the great battle?

Ye Xuan remembered that Lü Xiu didn't seem to have any ice-attribute magical beasts...

After putting away the array plate and the epic-level materials, Lü Xiu got up and went to the Floating Cloud Merchant Guild.

He wanted to strengthen himself before the battle with Du Shixin, but not by using epic-level ice-attribute materials.

Special arrows need to be replenished, and high-level beans need to be kept in reserve...

After resupplying, Lü Xiu was heavily in debt.

He had run out of money on his credit card because he had spent it on groceries, so now he was using the rich woman's card.

To be precise, it was the credit limit of Ye Qianxue's Golden Cloud Card.

If Du Shixin hadn't been killed, Lü Xiu would have had no choice but to become a live-in son-in-law at Ye Qianxue's house to pay off his debts.

I have to say, it's actually quite exciting to think about.

After purchasing the supplies, it was already close to dusk. Lü Xiu left Nantian Port and went to the eastern mountain, where he found a secluded hillside.

"Click," Lü Xiu snapped his fingers lightly.

A platinum treasure chest materialized before him. He placed the newly acquired epic-level ice-attribute material "Ice Dragon's Robe" and the array plate of "Hundred Paths Imprisoning Dragon Array" into an activation device inside the chest, and then closed it.

The treasure chest trap has been set.

But how can we lure Du Shixin into the trap?

Lü Xiu studied it for a long time.

Think like you're setting up a trap.

To lure creatures into a trap, you must use appropriate bait, just as you need to bait a fish when fishing or scatter grains on the ground when catching birds.

But what is the bait that can lure Du Shixin?

Lu Xiu had studied Du Shixin's resume and found that this beast hunter had almost no hobbies.

It even seems that he was not affected by the original sin of "lust".

You might not believe it, but Du Shixin was actually a pure lover.

His lover, a childhood sweetheart with whom he grew up, died in a sandstorm shortly after Du Shixin became a professional hunter.

After his lover died, Du Shi's personality changed drastically. Soon after, he committed the heinous crime of summoning the Golden King Scorpion to slaughter 15,312 people in the oasis town of the Golden Desert in the desolate state.

This made Lü Xiu doubt whether Du Shixin's lover had really died in a sandstorm.

There seems to be something hidden inside.

However, Lü Xiu could not verify this.

Since his lover's death, Du Shixin has never sought another partner. Wherever he goes, unlike the other members of the [Nest] organization who commit rape and plunder, there is more ruthless killing.

When a monster hunter stops being lecherous.

Lu Xiu found it hard to imagine what weaknesses this person might have.

A treasure chest trap made from a platinum treasure chest.

This is Lü Xiu's last trump card.

Du Shixin may not be lustful, or even have any particular hobbies.

But as long as Du Shixin still wants to become stronger and has a trace of greed in his heart, he will never ignore a platinum treasure chest that can contain epic items!
