Family connections: From special recruitment by the county committee to the pinnacle of power

Xu Hansheng, who was writing furiously at his workstation, glanced at Tang Bing's message after receiving it and casually replied with "Thank you".

Xu Hansheng spent the entire morning studying Tiancheng Holdings' information, especially the chairman and the three vice presidents, including their hometowns and resumes, which he carefully wrote down in a notebook. He also opened his computer and found a lot of relevant photos online.

There are also a few office photos inside.

Through the desks of the group, Xu Hansheng gained a general understanding of their interests and hobbies. After recording them all, Xu Hansheng went through them in his mind several times before going with Xu He to apply for a health permit for the chicken farm.

With Xu Hansheng's rich experience and the help of his eloquence, the health permit was obtained in just one morning.

Xu He was almost incredulous at Xu Hansheng's efficiency. The Health Bureau had repeatedly blocked Xu He, but Xu Hansheng had given him the green light all the way.

Xu Hansheng simply smiled at Xu He and didn't say anything more. After all, he was a newcomer, and it was really inappropriate for him to always teach the old man how to do things.

Back in the office, Xu Hansheng voluntarily gave all the credit to Xu He.

Xu Hansheng didn't care about this small achievement; what he was really waiting for was the Tiancheng Holdings project!

In just one morning, Xu Hansheng's supervisory receipt was delivered to Qi Hongchang's desk.

After finishing his important work, Qi Hongchang glanced at the supervision receipt that he had submitted that morning.

These are minor matters that the inspection office should handle themselves, so why were they handed over to him?

Qi Hongchang frowned, picked up the supervisor's reply slip and glanced at it. After a closer look, Qi Hongchang couldn't help but nod repeatedly.

This report is very insightful, extending from Tiancheng Holdings to wastewater treatment and the necessity of building a wastewater treatment plant in Yutong County. Industrial development inevitably involves attracting similar enterprises, making wastewater treatment plants crucial to ensuring the protection of drinking water and groundwater from pollution. Furthermore, it concludes with the statement, "A contribution to the present and a benefit for future generations."

Qi Hongchang smiled faintly and glanced at the signature.

"Xu Hansheng?"

After a while, he remembered that it was the specially admitted student from the secretariat of the county government office.

"That's interesting!"

After putting down the supervisory receipt, Qi Hongchang pondered for a moment, then called County Head Lin, instructing him to immediately arrange for the County Environmental Protection Bureau to submit a report to the provincial authorities. He then instructed the County Planning Bureau, Land Resources Bureau, and Finance Bureau to hold an immediate meeting to address the sewage treatment plant issue, setting a one-week deadline for submitting a plan.

Normally, similar projects would take about a month just to discuss the plans. However, projects that the Party Secretary personally oversees and pays close attention to are a different story.

After arranging the other tasks, Qi Hongchang called Tan Zhifei into his office.

"Secretary Qi, were you calling me?"

With a broad smile, Tan Zhifei closed the door and walked to Qi Hongchang's desk.

Qi Hongchang nodded slightly and said, "Yes, there is a good chance that Tiancheng Holdings' project will be implemented. Here's what I'll do: call Qian Xueming from the Inspection Office and have him follow up on this project closely! Ask him specifically about Tiancheng Holdings' requirements for sewage treatment and some related indicators. I've already spoken to County Chief Lin. If necessary, have the Secretariat of the County Government Office contact Tiancheng Holdings again. It would be best if we could get the relevant data or reports. Give me a reply as soon as possible."

Tan Zhifei nodded repeatedly and said, "Okay, Secretary Qi."

As for the supervisory receipt, Qi Hongchang didn't give it to him, so how could he dare to take a second look at it?

"Wait, take this one too."

Just as Tan Zhifei turned to leave, Qi Hongchang handed him the supervisor's reply slip.

"Okay, thank you, Secretary Qi."

Tan Zhifei accepted the supervisory receipt with both hands and quickly walked out of Qi Hongchang's office.

Upon arriving at the inspection office, Qian Xueming hurriedly greeted Tan Zhifei at the door and invited him to sit down in his chair.

"Director Tan, I'll make you some tea right away."

Just as Qian Xueming was about to turn around, Tan Zhifei stopped him and said seriously, "No need, I'm here to convey Secretary Qi's instructions."

"Alright, Director Tan, please go ahead."

Qian Xueming stood respectfully to one side, listening attentively.

"Secretary Qi means that we should follow up on Tiancheng Holdings' project. So, Section Chief Qian, please call Tiancheng Holdings first and ask them about their requirements for sewage treatment and some related indicators. I will report back to Secretary Qi as soon as possible."

Qian Xueming nodded repeatedly and said, "Okay, Director Tan, I'll call right away."

After saying that, Qian Xueming took out a copy of Tang Bing's receipt, looked up Tiancheng Holdings' phone number, and dialed it directly.

"Hello, this is Tiancheng Holdings. May I ask where you are from?"

The operator answered the phone directly.

"Hello, this is the Yutong County Party Committee Office..."

Qian Xueming simply repeated Tan Zhifei's requirements.

"Oh, I'm sorry, our company has no intention of building a factory in Yutong County. The data you requested is a company secret and cannot be disclosed to you."

After saying that, the operator hung up the phone.

Qian Xueming put down the phone with an embarrassed expression and said to Tan Zhifei, "Director Tan, they said they have absolutely no intention of investing in a factory in our county. What's going on?"

What?

Tan Zhifei's expression also changed. How was he going to explain this to Qi Hongchang?

The statements are inconsistent.

"What exactly happened? In your report this morning, didn't you say there was a strong interest? So-and-so even wrote a report of over a thousand words. How come there's no interest now? How am I supposed to explain this to Secretary Qi?"

Tan Zhifei instantly flew into a rage, glaring coldly at Qian Xueming and questioning him in a chilling voice.

Qian Xueming was also stumped by the question. Right, how was he going to explain this to Secretary Qi?

We can't just tell Secretary Qi that he never intended to build a factory in Yutong County, and that it was all just wishful thinking on his part.

"Well... this project should be handled by the secretariat of the county government office. Director Tan, why don't you ask Director Jiang? Perhaps Director Jiang can know some details."

Qian Xueming was also a master at shifting blame, and he directly passed the buck to the county government office.

Tan Zhifei thought about it and also felt that Qian Xueming made a lot of sense. He couldn't take the blame for this!

The county government office was responsible for the liaison, and the supervision receipt was also filled out by the county government office. The responsibility must be assigned to the county government office.

"That makes sense. Director Jiang probably knows more about this. Let's go and pay him a visit."

As they were talking, Tan Zhifei and Qian Xueming stood up and walked toward Jiang Qinghua's office.
