Family connections: From special recruitment by the county committee to the pinnacle of power

Xu Hansheng, still smiling, looked at Lin Mingyuan and said, "Comrade Lin Mingyuan, thank you for your concern, but you've really misunderstood."

"I contacted the construction company to provide data support for the report to the county party committee."

"Our county has never done a similar project before. We need to know the budget, the required land area, and how to plan and use the land. We need some successful cases and data."

"Otherwise, if we hand over inaccurate or fabricated data and reports to Secretary Qi, that would be a dereliction of duty on our part, and an irresponsibility to the county party committee, Secretary Qi, and ourselves."

"Does Comrade Lin Mingyuan understand what I'm saying?"

Lin Mingyuan stared intently at Xu Hansheng, who was still smiling at him, his eyes brimming with anger.

What data collection? You're kidding me.

"Snapped!"

Lin Mingyuan pulled several photos from his shirt pocket, slammed them on the table, and said to Xu Hansheng, "You, surnamed Xu, are you collecting data on the dinner table?"

"Also, this woman went in carrying a plastic bag. Everyone should know what was inside, right?"

"She came out empty-handed!"

As he spoke, Lin Mingyuan picked up two of the photos and waved them around in front of everyone in the department.

Upon seeing these two photos, everyone's expression changed.

Lin Mingyuan is incredibly audacious!

He actually followed the section chief and even secretly took photos?

Even if the evidence he has is real, he can't do this; it's breaking the rules!

If it were someone from another department, doing this would be understandable, but doesn't Lin Mingyuan know the rules?

Xu Hansheng looked intently at Lin Mingyuan and said without changing his expression, "Comrade Lin Mingyuan, you have really misunderstood. What she is holding are all reference materials."

Xu Hansheng spoke these words calmly and without the slightest panic.

This composure once again shocked everyone in the department.

"Mr. Xu, whether I've misunderstood or not, you don't need to tell me. Just wait to explain to the disciplinary committee!"

Lin Mingyuan roared angrily at Xu Hansheng.

He was really furious. Even when presented with evidence, Xu Hansheng remained unfazed and continued to spout nonsense in front of everyone.

Instead, it made him look more like a clown.

Couldn't Xu Hansheng be a little nervous and cooperate with him?

Xu Hansheng said calmly, "Oh, Comrade Lin Mingyuan wants to report me? Okay, I welcome that anytime. It'll also be good to have the comrades from the Discipline Inspection Commission help me prove my innocence."

As they spoke, Xu Hansheng gestured for them to proceed, saying, "Comrade Lin Mingyuan, would you like me to take you to the Discipline Inspection Commission?"

"Need not!"

Lin Mingyuan snorted angrily, picked up the photos from the table, and said, "You just wait, you surnamed Xu!"

After saying that, Lin Mingyuan quickly walked out of the office.

Xu Hansheng simply smiled faintly, not even glancing at Lin Mingyuan, and turned to the others, smiling slightly, "Alright, everyone, let's get back to work. Don't let what just happened affect your normal work."

After saying that, he walked back to his office at a leisurely pace.

Before long, Lin Mingyuan knocked on the door of Zhou Kaibin's office, the secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission.

At that moment, Zhou Kaibin was reading the newspaper in his office when he heard the knock on the door. He responded casually, "Come in!"

"Secretary Zhou!"

Lin Mingyuan walked into the office looking unwell and quickly arrived at Zhou Kaibin's desk.

Zhou Kaibin looked up, glanced at Lin Mingyuan with surprise, and said, "It's Mingyuan, is there something you need?"

"I want to report Xu Hansheng, the section chief of the research office of the county party committee, for openly accepting bribes!"

After saying that, Lin Mingyuan placed the photos he was holding on Zhou Kaibin's table.

What?

Zhou Kaibin was taken aback when he heard this. Had the child not slept well?

How could you do such a thing?

Did Lin Weidong know that he was reporting his own boss and even brought secretly taken photos?

Zhou Kaibin glanced at the photos on the table, put down the newspaper, and said to Lin Mingyuan, "Mingyuan, sit down first, and tell me slowly, what exactly happened?"

Lin Mingyuan suppressed his anger and sat down in the chair opposite Zhou Kaibin, his face grim. He said, "Secretary Zhou, this is something I took unintentionally last night..."

"Originally, I wanted to remind Section Chief Xu to come and confess to Secretary Zhou, but instead of admitting his mistake, Section Chief Xu threatened to bring me to the Discipline Inspection Commission!"

"I could no longer tolerate his behavior, which is why I came to report him to Secretary Zhou!"

Zhou Kaibin nodded slightly, picked up the photo on the table, glanced at it a few times, pondered for a moment, and then said to Lin Mingyuan, "Comrade Lin Mingyuan, I have understood the situation you reported."

"How about this, you go back first, and Secretary Jiang and I will discuss it and then make a decision."

Qi Hongchang was handling matters in the provincial capital, and Lin Hanlong had been taken to the Qingshan City Discipline Inspection Commission. Now, the only person in charge of the county committee was Deputy Secretary Jiang Hua.

This matter must be handled through Jiang Hua, or at least we must give him a heads-up.

After all, he was the section chief of the county party committee office, so he had to give them a heads-up.

Lin Mingyuan had no choice but to say goodbye and leave to wait for news.

After he left, Zhou Kaibin sighed softly, picked up the photo, went to the office of Jiang Hua, the deputy secretary of the county party committee, and handed the photo to Jiang Hua, saying, "Secretary Jiang, what do you think of this matter... how should it be handled?"

After taking the photo from Zhou Kaibin, Jiang Hua glanced at it and his expression instantly changed. He looked at Zhou Kaibin and asked, "Secretary Zhou, where did this come from?"

"Could someone be deliberately framing Section Chief Xu?"

"I've heard there's a new computer technology that can edit photos. Could someone be up to no good?"

Ok?

Zhou Kaibin sensed something was off about Jiang Hua's tone and glanced at him with surprise.

Is he defending Xu Hansheng?

impossible!

Jiang Hua and Xu Hansheng had little contact; in fact, they were completely unfamiliar with each other!

It's absolutely impossible to speak up for Xu Hansheng in the face of such a major issue of right and wrong.

The next second, Zhou Kaibin noticed Ge Yingchun in the photo.

He frowned slightly and said, "Secretary Jiang, at first, I thought so too, but these photos were personally given to me by Comrade Lin Mingyuan, and it was a report filed under his real name, so..."

Upon hearing the name Lin Mingyuan, a glint of light flashed in Jiang Hua's usually calm eyes, and he smiled faintly, saying, "Oh? It's little Lin?"

"Well, since it was Comrade Lin Mingyuan who filed the report under his real name, I think Secretary Zhou should really investigate it. After all, Comrade Lin Weidong is a very reliable person."

"Besides, Comrade Lin Weidong is very strict with his family, so Xiao Lin shouldn't do anything to frame others. Secretary Zhou, please rest assured, the County Party Committee Office will fully cooperate with the Discipline Inspection Commission's investigation and evidence collection!"

After saying that, Jiang Hua picked up the phone and called Fu Changqing.

"Director Fu, come to me immediately!"

After saying that, Jiang Hua hung up the phone and then said to Zhou Kaibin, "Secretary Zhou, to avoid any misunderstandings, why don't Director Fu take Section Chief Xu to the Discipline Inspection Commission? This way, Director Fu can also understand the actual situation. What do you think?"
