Qingyouzi lingered in Xuanxian City for several more days.

He inquired about the city's markets, teahouses, and even some secret social circles in different ways and under different identities, but the information about the spiritual materials he needed was extremely vague. He only vaguely learned that there were spiritual fruits in the outer sea, which further strengthened his determination to go to the South China Sea.

As for the situation overseas, the rumors circulating in the city are mostly vague and general, making it difficult to distinguish between truth and falsehood.

Since that's the case, there's no need to stay any longer.

After he finished tidying up, he was still wearing that inconspicuous black robe, with his bamboo hat hanging low, like an ordinary passerby, strolling on the wide streets of Xuanxian City, heading towards the area where the large teleportation array leading to the South China Sea was located.

The streets were busier than usual.

Cultivators hurrying about were everywhere, and various colored streaks of light occasionally flashed across the low sky, their auras varying in strength.

What made Qingyouzi's gaze slightly narrow was that he keenly detected several subtle yet powerful demonic auras, undoubtedly belonging to transformed great demons.

It's impossible for these demons to appear so openly in the core city of the human race unless the ancient demon calamity is imminent and the high-level officials of both sides have reached some kind of emergency agreement.

As he was pondering this, his steps toward the teleportation hall suddenly stopped without warning.

Immediately, he turned around naturally and entered an ordinary inn on the side of the street. He sat down in an inconspicuous corner by the window and ordered a pot of the most common spiritual tea.

His divine sense, however, was like invisible mercury, silently spreading towards the teleportation plaza hundreds of feet ahead.

The scene was clearly reflected in my eyes.

The atmosphere outside the teleportation hall was tense.

Several rogue cultivators, mostly at the Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment stage, were pleading with a group of guards dressed in the standard uniforms of Xuanxian City. The leader, a burly man with a thick beard and late-stage Foundation Establishment cultivation, looked extremely anxious.

"Seniors! Esteemed deacons! I beg you, please make an exception this once! My family is all on the shores of the South China Sea, and with demonic activity rampant and all communication cut off, we are frantic with worry! Just once, please!"

The burly man with a thick beard bowed repeatedly, his voice hoarse.

The guard captain was a cold-faced early-stage Golden Core cultivator dressed in a silver-patterned robe.

His brows furrowed, his eyes filled with impatience, and before the other person could finish speaking, he abruptly flicked his sleeve!

An invisible force surged forth, and although it did not kill, it still shook the few rogue cultivators who were too close, causing them to stagger and fall to the ground.

"So noisy!"

The Golden Core Guardian let out a cold shout.

"They come hundreds of times a day! I'm so tired of hearing it!"

Now that the ancient demons have resurrected and a demonic calamity is imminent, all remote teleportation arrays must prioritize the transport of strategic resources, the rotation of frontline personnel, and communication between all parties! This is an ironclad rule jointly agreed upon by the Supreme Elders and the City Lord's Mansion! No one may use it without a specially approved order!

His gaze, sharp as a knife, swept over the few rogue cultivators on the ground, then over the dozens of low-level cultivators further behind them, who also wore worried expressions but dared not step forward. His voice rose, carrying an undeniable authority and a subtle rebuke:

"Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures! You rogue cultivators, it's one thing to live a carefree life in ordinary times, but now that a great calamity is imminent, all you think about is taking your families and fleeing, hoping to save your lives overseas?"

He took a step forward, releasing a slight pressure from his golden core, causing the lower-level cultivators to gasp for breath.

"Do you know what's happening to the thousands of disciples of Xuanxian City right now? They are reinforcing their defenses day and night, clearing out the demonic puppets, and preparing supplies, ready to fight the demonic tide at any moment! Every bit of spiritual power and every spirit stone must be used wisely! This teleportation array consumes a huge amount of resources each time it is activated; how can it be used for your personal escape?"

His words were forceful and assertive, embodying a sense of righteousness, and he tapped the ground heavily with his finger:

"If you consider yourselves cowardly cowards who only care about their own lives, then my Xuanxian City is not unreasonable. The city gates are wide open, and no one will stop you! You may leave the city now and, with your own abilities, fly across these millions of miles of mountains and rivers to escape to the South Sea, which you believe is safe!"

As he spoke, he raised his arm, pointing directly south, his tone filled with undisguised contempt:

"But if you encounter demonic beasts or other calamities on the road, don't blame Heaven for being ruthless, and don't expect Xuanxian City to spare a single soldier to rescue the deserters!"

His words, righteous and stern, left the rogue cultivators red-faced and speechless. Some lowered their heads in shame, some were unwilling but dared not refute him, and some harbored deep resentment in their eyes.

In a corner of the inn, Qingyouzi tapped her fingers lightly twice on the rough wooden table, making a soft sound.

His eyes were calm and still.

Immediately, his figure vanished from the spot, as if merging into the air, without attracting anyone's attention.

The next instant, a faint blue light, almost imperceptible, shot into the sky from an inconspicuous corner of Xuanxian City, and after a few flashes, it disappeared completely into the clouds in the southern sky.

He didn't head straight for the South China Sea; instead, he took a small detour to avoid potential surveillance.

About half a cup of tea's time after Qingyouzi left the inn.

The air in the window seat where he had been sitting distorted slightly.

A gray, slightly blurry figure, like a drop of light ink in a traditional Chinese ink painting, appeared silently and slowly sat down.

The shopkeepers, waiters, and even the few tea drinkers around seemed to completely ignore this person, each going about their own business.

He stretched out his finger and gently touched the rim of the teacup left by Qingyouzi on the table, where a trace of warmth still lingered.

Then, he turned his head slightly, his gaze seemingly piercing through the walls of the inn and the buildings, looking towards the southern horizon where Qingyouzi's escape light had disappeared.

A moment of silence.

He shook his head almost imperceptibly. His figure then faded again, like smoke dispersed by the wind, disappearing without a trace, as if he had never existed.

Xuanxian City is located in the heart of the Tianque Continent, separated from the vast South China Sea by millions of miles. The area is crisscrossed by mountains and rivers, dotted with numerous territories of various powers, making it far from an easy place to travel.

Having decided to go on his own, Qing Youzi didn't delay any longer. Once outside the territory of Xuanxian City, he immediately increased his escape speed to the maximum.

A condensed stream of azure light, like an arrow tearing through the sky, sped steadily southward at high speed.

Speeding like the wind and working under the stars and moon.

They fled at full speed for more than three months.

The landscape below constantly changed, from hills to plains, from forests to deserts, with massive cities appearing like chess pieces, only to be quickly left behind.

This day marked the end of a two-week period of continuous flight.

Looking into the distance, the endless outline of land at the horizon finally began to change.

A color, different from earthy yellow and emerald green, a broader and deeper one, is faintly emerging.

That's... the edge of the sea.

The vast, boundless azure blue merges with the pale blue of the sky at the edge of the field of vision, forming a single line.

The South China Sea is getting closer.
