Rumor has it that the young master has a hidden illness

Chapter 34 Am I a benefactor or a lover?

Her small hand gently pressed against his forehead, Lin Lulu's eyes overflowing with love for Jing Sichen. She then began to sing: "Being near you makes me feel safe, because of your smiling eyes. You laugh at my cat-like curiosity, my cleverness tinged with silliness. Darling, I want to tell you, I actually love you more than you love me. Your understanding, your romantic words, it all seems destined. Your tenderness warms my heart, like a summer breeze, so cool and peaceful. I nestle gently in your arms, the sky filled with stars of blessing. Your tenderness warms my heart, like a torrential downpour, unwilling to dampen my love for you. I want to sing this for you, to revel in the sweetness you give me!"

The song flowed gently through the car; at that moment, her whole heart was with him.

This was the first time she had looked him up and down like this, seeing every inch of him clearly without worrying about being caught and embarrassed.

This man is truly radiant, so dazzling that you can't take your eyes off him!

She never imagined that she would meet a man like this in her lifetime.

He seems to really enjoy showing up when she's in dire straits!

Although he can be quite awful at times, it seems like there's an endless list of annoying flaws about him.

Unconsciously, her mind replayed every little detail since she met him. Her gaze became increasingly unfocused, and a bittersweet feeling welled up from somewhere.

The car stopped in front of the villa. While Jing Sichen was lying on the bed, Lin Lulu looked around but couldn't find the family doctor.

"Where's the doctor?" She assumed everything had been arranged long ago. "Is he still on his way?"

"It's no use," Jing Liang's voice rang out coldly. "Even if the doctor comes, it won't help; he can't be cured."

"What do you mean?" Lin Lulu asked, puzzled. "How could he...?"

"Jing Liang." Jing Sichen's voice was oppressive, clearly a warning to him not to say anything more.

Jing Liang snorted defiantly and retorted angrily, "Then go ahead and die in agony! I won't shed a single tear for you after you're dead!"

As he spoke, he turned around and stood guard at the door, his face showing a mixture of panic and pain.

Lin Lulu looked at Jing Sichen, then at Jing Liang, and knew that something she didn't know must have happened.

She examined Jing Sichen's body briefly and observed him carefully, but didn't see any external injuries.

What happened?

What caused him so much pain?

"What can I do for you?" she asked softly.

After all, now is not the time to ask why.

"Don't worry about me." His gaze remained gentle as he looked at her. "Go on, I'll be fine after a nap."

But she felt that his constant calls for her to leave were actually a way of preventing him from seeing him in even greater pain.

She could almost feel him about to cry out in pain, unable to bear it any longer.

But he answered her question so casually?

Who told him to show off like that?

As if she had just remembered something, she quickly took out the phone they had just brought and was about to make a call.

"What are you doing?" Jing Sichen's tone was quite dissatisfied.

"Call Yan Moshen," she replied instinctively.

"At a time like this, instead of trying to take care of me, you actually called my rival?" he hissed. "Are you out of your mind?"

Lin Lulu was stunned for a moment.

A love rival?

The call connected, and Yan Moshen's anxious voice came from the other end: "Lulu, what's wrong? Is there something you need?"

Jing Sichen was still yelling, "Hang up the phone! Did you hear me, Lin Lulu!"

Lin Lulu simply went outside and tightened her grip on her phone.

She had saved Yan Moshen's phone number many years ago, but she never thought that she would call him one day.

"Could you come over and take a look at Jing Sichen?" she asked softly. "He's not feeling well."

Yan Moshen remained silent.

The first time Lin Lulu called him was for another man.

"I know this is an unreasonable request, and we don't have much of a relationship, but, consider it another favor I owe you, okay? If you can come and see him, I can talk to him and let you marry Lin Ao'ao. As long as you're willing, you can name any other conditions..."

"I have no feelings for Lin Ao'ao." He interrupted her, his voice carrying a restraint she couldn't understand. "Don't worry, I'm coming right now."

Then, I hung up the phone.

Lin Lulu was stunned for a moment, but didn't have time to think too much, and quickly returned to Jing Sichen's side.

At this moment, Jing Sichen glared at her with fierce eyes, mostly out of spite.

"I just asked him to come and take a look at you," Lin Lulu coaxed gently. "He's very capable."

Jing Sichen: "Who's stronger, him or me?"

Lin Lulu thought about it carefully and then said, "You didn't study medicine."

How to compare them?

"Your answer wasn't me?" His anger clearly escalated even further.

She looked at him helplessly. Was this man too naive?

Only then did his gaze soften completely. He took her hand and whispered, "I'm fine, really."

Upon hearing this, her nose tingled with emotion.

It turns out he did that on purpose so she wouldn't worry.

"Get out." His voice was forced through clenched teeth. "Lulu, be good."

"I……"

"Get out of here!" he practically yelled. "Jingliang, take her away!"

Lin Lulu was startled. Jing Liang walked in at that moment, his face also turning pale with fright. He shouted at Lin Lulu, "Get out of here right now!"

Lin Lulu passively obeyed, took two steps toward the door, then suddenly stopped and looked back.

"puff--"

A mouthful of blood spurted from Jing Sichen's mouth and landed on the ground, black and gruesome to look at.

"Uncle!"

A sharp pain welled up in her heart. Lin Lulu rushed forward and supported Jing Sichen. She saw his pale face turn strange because of the blood on his lips. He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but his vision blurred.

Tears welled up without warning, and she choked up, unable to utter a single word.

What's wrong with him?

Why did he vomit blood?

Filled with doubt and terrified, her hand trembled as she held him, barely having the strength to care for him.

"I...I'm...okay..." he managed to utter words of comfort, "Don't...don't cry."

Seeing how much pain he was clearly in, yet still having to spare time to attend to her, she cursed herself inwardly.

She sniffed, raised her hand, wiped away her tears, and said angrily, "Leave me alone! Do you want some water? I'll get you some! Just hang in there, Yan Moshen will be here soon!"

At this moment, he no longer had the energy to care that she was calling out another man's name.

Watching her cry for him, and feeling the warmth of her body through his hand, he realized for the first time that vomiting blood wasn't so terrible after all.

What was terrifying was that she couldn't stop crying.

"Silly girl." He gently stroked her palm with his fingertips. "You're crying so hard, do you see me as your benefactor or your lover?"
